As I was walking around Harbor Shops, I got a text from a friend saying he got a new job...I felt very happy for him and I wanted to send him a nice card to congratulate him...I noticed that Pak Mail sells greeting cards, so I stopped in. Their selection of cards is fairly good and the prices are reasonable, I was really surprised. We usually think of Pak Mail, as a shipping point (just like a UPS Store), but they are more than than....their success is based on exceptional service and a positive customer experience. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the gentleman behind the counter and he asked if I needed any help. That immediate customer interaction was really refreshing. As I did more research on the brand, I realized that you can bring your big, oversized, heavy, or awkwardly shaped Items and they will create custom packing, crating and shipping plans for delivering your packages to their destinations. After emailing back and forth to receive a quote, I called to pay over the phone and confirm the shipping address that was already provided in emails. Despite my double checking, they shipped the package to the wrong address. They won't respond to my numerous emails and phone calls. I had happily used this Pak Mail for years. It changed ownership or management at some point in the past year or two and has gone COMPLETELY downhill. Packages are stacked all over the place inside, and my shipments within Florida and to other states have taken over a month to be received in some cases. When I call to ask status I am told that their system shows it as having left their store, which is a lie. A friend in boca just today (3/16)received a package I shipped on 2/13. I kept going there for convenience sake but will never step foot in there again. read more

It is hard to believe that you try to support local business and get totally screwed. Well apparently I am not the first at this Pak Mail in the Cordova Shops in Fort Lauderdale. Horrible Customer Service not just horrible they take your money and never ship it. I dropped off an envelope to be sent overnight paid good money - have my receipt in which it states tomorrow morning and I ask how is going to get there in the morning it is 6:20pm our time. I was assured and on a printed receipt it would get there. Now flash to the next day - I call no package arrived - waiting for updates nothing. Call the store still sitting there. The person who answered the was very belligerent could not answer me on how this happened - now come the owner who DOES NOT TRAIN HIS STAFF PROPERLY! I couldn't be more happy with the service I got from Pak Mail. Doug was extremely helpful and professional and the price to pack and ship was well below other quotes I received. I live in California and sold my condo in Florida so I needed to get items packed and shipped without being there to supervise. Pak Mail went to my condo, transported the items I needed shipped from my condo to their shop, packed everything, and shipped the items to California. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work and the extreme care they took to pack everything carefully so nothing would break. I had some very fragile and valuable items and I was very impressed with how well everything was packed. Even books were carefully wrapped in bubble wrap. Everything arrived as scheduled and nothing was damaged. I could not be happier with my experience dealing with Doug and Pak Mail - I highly recommend them!!! read more
