We just love Lambert's!!! every time my family and I visit Gulf Shores. We make this our final stop…read moreon our last day of our vacation. We love the location. We love the service and of course the food is so awesome. The friendly weight staff comes around throughout your entire dining experience and provides so many awesome sides in addition to your dinner selections. The staff comes around and brings fried okra, smothered potatoes, and various other delicious southern side dishes. The food is so delicious and definitely remind you of HOME and the variety of menu items are perfect and so so so yummy. The 32 ounce mugs with your drink of choice is hilariously, huge and so generous... we also learned on this trip that you could purchase one of those jugs to go. The ambience is cool. It kinda reminds you of an old country restaurant with wooden benches and historical items, pictures, and memorabilia all throughout the entire restaurant. The biggest part and honestly a fun part for families is this is also the place that's coined "Throw em rolls" where they throw huge hat and fresh dinner rolls to your table so at any time you can see flying rolls throughout the dining room rooms. It's so much fun. I would definitely add this to your list if you are in the area to check out. The food, the service is really great and just a very simple, casual dining experience.

I probably have eaten at Big Fish two dozen times; my first visit was in 2014. At the sushi bar,…read moreinside, outside. What do I like best about Big Fish? The fact that they offer several choices of fresh catches each night; and that frequently they have unusual catches, this time it was a tile, a firm, white, mild fish. They also will give you a choice of several ways they prepare your fish. I love having choices. Their servers are familiar with the variety of options available, and can help you decide, if it may be your first time to try something new. They are super busy on weekends, so go early, or enjoy a relaxed meal during the week.

Fire Cracker Shrimp Fried Rice - 9.2 I order this every time we visit. It is my favorite dish of all the places we visit each year at the beach. It may not be the best but definitely my favorite and in the top 3 as far as best goes. The fried egg on top really puts it over the top although, I do wish it was runny and not cooked through. Gyoza - 7.0 Has a lot of filling which is good however, it isn't very seasoned or flavorful. They appeared to be fried however, not very crispy. We try gyoza at nearly any restaurant we visit that has it on the menu. Comparing this to other gyoza's, it's good but not great. Tuna Lovers Roll - 7.8 Roll was good but a little too spicy. The spice was expected obviously but still a tad too spicy. It also lacked the correct amount of sauce in my opinion. It also needed another ingredient or two to take it to the next level. Sesame Cracker w/ Honey Butter - 8.4 I rated it a little higher due to the originality. I have eaten at restaurants in half the States that make up this country and have never had toasted sesame crackers with honey butter. It is a thing in the South to have saltines, club cracker, etc. with butter at seafood and steak restaurants. However, I haven't seen this combo. It was good and not too filling.

The suite was spacious, clean, stocked with necessary trinkets for travelers and comfortable. Upon check-in, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Tomia. She was sooooo nice, gave excellent customer service and really showed genuine respect for her customers. I honestly think the service, room experience and comfortability was not worth the value. I mean, I know it's the South but c'mon, this was a steal. A place like this up North would be astronomical. As far as price, I used my loyalty points (15,000) + a little cash but the room without points was only like $100. I had to start using my points before I lose them. I will say upon leaving, the Grinch replaced Santa. The morning chick was very rude and not hospitable AT ALL. I didn't like that she refused to speak even after I spoke and furthermore, she never thanked me for lodging there. However, I didn't let that affect my decision to leave a good review because I really didn't have to interact with her. She only saw my backside as I was leaving, so there's that. Overall, I'd definitely recommend them if you're in the downtown Mobile area. Oh! One very important thing, it costs $10 for parking and the parking lot fills up quickly.
