Gorgeous space exemplifying Latino excellence. The drinks were fantastic, the art and design of the space is spectacular. It's on the pricier side, but we'll worth it.

This building is confusing not sure if this is the right review for this place but the coffee shop that has this name when you walk in the door is very good I had a jamaica was the best I ever had had cinnamon, clove maybe anise not sure it was very good the cheese pastry was good it had a good crunch and the filling was nice and creamy two guy were a little slow but they made grate drinks the seating was uncomfortable that would be the only bad thing definitely will be back for that drink

This place makes an incredible coffee. I've ordered the Lechera twice. It's worth every penny/peso. Just an FYI it's a thing apparently to leave pesos in the tip jar. There is a very strong art presence that changes out every so often and there's even a gorgeous looking hair salon in the building as well. I just left there and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Such a creative venue for multipurpose use. The structural architecture from the outside to the edgy interior design is pretty amazing. I had an opportunity to meet the owner, curator, and hair stylist... I'm sure he had many other hats too... but he educated me on the space and I had much more appreciation for it. It's a place where local meets creative intellect where ideas and imagination are free to run wild. That's my type of place. If you ever get the opportunity, check this venue out.

Hair. Art. Ms. Pac-Man. What isn't to love? I came to Palabra because Nicole King - noted yelp celebrity from another mid town salon - moved down here. I was a little taken aback that this yelp celebrity had moved salons. But was willing to go anywhere she was, especially since she was now walking distance from my crib. She's been chopping my hair for over two years and has never let me down. And I can be rather picky when it comes to my hair (sure everyone thinks they're picky about their hair - but I'm talking borderline neurotic here). The Palabra location doesn't disappoint either. Beyond the creative, energetic and fantastic hair stylists is an art gallery space that I am always intrigued to gaze at while getting a cut. It may not be everyone's aesthetic, but I love the energy of the entire space. Is it possible to feel inspired while getting your hair cut? I think yes! I'm also told their First Friday parties are a blast!

Prior to going, I thought to myself: what can possibly make this weekly event so amazing. I thought I would be underwhelmed, Boy, was I wrong! I checked out the Art Walk for the first time in February. It took me a little while to find parking. Scottsdale has plenty of free street parking (which I always appreciate), including surface lots, but this is a popular event. After circling around for a few minutes, I was able to find a spot. In my opinion, here's the best way to enjoy the experience...have it come to you organically. Which is tough to say coming from someone who is a planner. Just walk around and walk into any and all of the art galleries that seem interesting to you. Of course, you can visit all of these galleries outside of the Scottsdale Art Walk. What makes this experience different is that rather than closing around 5 p.m., they keep their doors open late. Many of them will also offer complimentary drinks including wine, champagne, and cocktails. Awesome! With it being Scottsdale, you'll see a focus on Western and Native American art. That is not by any means the extent of what you'll find though. Some art galleries specialize in other styles of painting including surrealism, abstract art, French impressionism, or pointillism. Are y'all impressed with my knowledge of art? All of the art books I read when I was a kid are coming in clutch now. The art is generally quite expensive so I didn't buy anything but I still very much enjoyed the experience. You're also likely to find entertainment on the streets e.g. musicians and street performers. My favorite of the bunch I saw was a Native American performance. There are also Gold Palette Walks which are special versions of the weekly Scottsdale Art Walk. I haven't been to one of these, so I can't touch on how they compare, but I would like to at some point. I feel like a Scottsdale Art Walk is an experience all locals should check out at some point!

They also have a wet darkroom and both a process and digital lab that you can rent out. I have taken a photoshop class here in the past and enjoyed getting to know the founder Alan Fitzgerald.
