There was a sugar scrub, and a time for my feet to relax in some bags for increased moisture. And then your classic pedicure treatment (cuticle care, file, etc.). I asked for an ombré blue design to my toes... which meant every toe was a slightly different shade of blue. My girl had no problem doing that, and it didn't cost extra at all! It's been at least 3 weeks, and the nail polish is still on! The only reason I gave it a 4 star review... for the price, there could have been more services included in the pedicure. Some things to recommend... a paraffin wax, the use of hot stones, a foot mask, etc. Other spas in the area offer a lot more with a pedicure for that price.

My balayage was top notch too! Alison is my go to nail tech. I get the shellac manicure and it is SOO worth every penny. I am extremely rough on my hands and she is the only one that has done a shellac manicure that actually LASTS. Typically, if I go elsewhere, they'll peel or chip within 5-6 days. The first time I went, I did one streak of highlight called a flash highlight (over 200$) to test the waters and it turned out great, so I came back expecting the same quality. This time was completely different. Paige double-booked another client and had her assistant handle most of my appointment. The assistant was extremely rough while washing my hair even after I repeatedly asked her to be gentle. She seemed annoyed that I said something and actually handed me the brush and said "do you want to brush it?" I shouldn't have to explain the same thing twice to her assistant when I already paid for a consultation to make sure this wouldn't happen. Paige barely checked in, didn't review my foils before they were rinsed, and my hair came out yellow and orange instead of the cool blonde I asked for. I didn't even get to choose the toner or discuss the results before being told by the assistant to pay. I also asked for thicker highlights and ended up with baby lights that looked uneven in tone. I walked out in tears and paid $265 for results that look like I used a bottle of Sun-In at home. I'm beyond frustrated and will not be going back. Letting an inexperienced assistant take over while charging full price is completely unacceptable.

She's the only person that I've found who really understands MY hair and actually seeks to uphold the integrity of my hair. If you're a hair stylist and you're reading this, you're probably screaming something like, "you can't get that transformation on one visit!!" And you're right. Carissa told me that with such grace and kindness, and instead of saying "no", she said, "let's come up with a game plan to get you there while we uphold the integrity of your hair!" So from there on out, we scheduled appointments to get me to my dream hair! And we have MADE IT! It took a few visits, as projected, and it was perfect. Today's visit, however, was a color correction visit. I had gotten my hair colored from a local beauty school to help a friend out as she learned her way around the coloring process. I'm glad to have been able to help her, however, I wasn't too pumped with the results, and honestly, I felt a bit defeated because I felt like I had mistakenly undone all of the hard work that Carissa originally put into my hair in the first place. After my color mishap, I immediately contacted Carissa and today she fixed me up SOOOO amazingly! My mishap has been undone and I feel like I'm back to where I want to be! We've got another process or two to get me back where I want to be, but seriously, this first correction is night and day difference to me! I feel SO much more confident and happy with my hair! She is a miracle worker! E+L also has a crazy awesome referral program! If you refer a friend, you get a free product! Ummm, AWESOME! (And these aren't your grandma's products. They sell Davines, baby!) Oh, and if you care about the environment (which you should, at least a LITTLE bit), they are a salon that focuses on minimal waste! You can see in the picture...that's not curled. I wanted to just let it be okay no big deal my appointment was at 8 maybe she was hurrying to get out of there whatever. Next I get home and notice there's chunks around the ends of my hair that are clearly uneven? I'm not one to leave reviews and such, especially bad ones, but this time I could not keep my mouth shut LOL. I won't be going back here.
