They open officially at 9:30am but saw me as soon as I walked in at 9:15 or so. I thought that was very efficient of them and glad I got there early because at 930, there was a much larger qty of people coming in. The gal that did my manicure and pedicure was very efficient and friendly. She did exactly what I asked and was never pushy, just focused on her job and nice small talk. I'll be back! Today I watched the manager, Denny literally bully the young female customers in front of me to pay in cash. The first female was paying with a credit card and he pointed to the ATM machine next to the register and kept (aggressively) telling her "It's better for us if you pay cash"- she didn't want to pay cash, and let's not mention ATM fees- but he would not take no for an answer. Both girls eventually went to the ATM machine and got cash- What is it with these nail salons?!! NO WHERE ELSE in the world of shops and stores are the employees so adamant about customers paying in cash only. Nor would it be received well by customers. When it was my turn to pay, I refused to use his ATM machine to get cash and told him I'd like to pay with my card, and decided to tip on my card as well. He proceeded to beg me to pay the tip in cash or else the nail tech wouldn't get her tip for two weeks. That is not my problem. Just because you have poor rules in place for how you reimburse your nail techs for their tips should not befall on me to pay cash- let's also not mention tax implications with all of the demands to pay cash for all of their services. I also had to ask for my receipt. Usually I'll pay my nail tech a cash tip, but today I didn't have it and the more this aggressive bully of a manager kept forcing people to pay cash, the more I was adamant about doing everything on my card. It is really obnoxious and outrageous that this behavior is acceptable and considered normal at nail salons. Nowhere else would we allow and comply to any salesperson or waiter, bartender, hairstylist, doctor, etc, etc who demanded that they be paid in cash. Why is it so normalized in these nail salons? Not to mention, the nail tech, Michelle, did not speak a word of english. Could not communicate with her at all about what I wanted. She Insisted on using the drill for a gel manicure when I kept asking for her not to. She kept filing my nails down, when I asked her not to make them any shorter. I don't fault her for being new, but being unable to communicate at all is an issue. Denny needs to put more time in to properly training the staff instead of forcing customers to pay cash for mediocre services provided by untrained employees. read more

They got me right in today, my nail tech was Helen, very sweet & accommodating. I'm claustrophobic and somewhat hearing challenged (never knew until everyone wore a mask, then realized how much I rely on facial expressions and reading lips!) but had no trouble here. Denny specifically asked me to leave a review when I told him upon arrival that I had never been - so here's my review: don't go. The nail tech, John, who did my new set of acrylics tried his hardest.. but I was not satisfied. I didn't like the shape nor the color, but he basically ripped my old set off my nails so my nail beds were so sensitive I couldn't have him try to fix it anymore. When I told Denny at check out that I wasn't satisfied, he argued with me that it was exactly what I asked for. And that he liked them. Most of my nails are visibly crooked. But aside from not being happy with how they look, my nail beds are so sensitive right now they hurt to the touch. I didn't try to make a scene, I was just sharing my dissatisfaction with my experience and said I didn't want to pay full price because I would need to get them fixed. Denny made it a scene and completely embarrassed me in front of the whole salon, trying to convince me they looked good and they were exactly what I wanted. He brought up 2 different techs to also convince me they were exactly what I wanted. I was completely ambushed while I just stood there. I finally had to tell him I just wanted to pay so I could leave. Denny didn't even offer me any sort of discount, and only credited the $5 off for shaping when the nail tech approved it. The experience up to check out was great. However I will never go back. Specifically because of Denny and his lack of care for customer satisfaction. read more

I have had acrylics several times before from other nail salons with no issue. I went to Palace yesterday for a full set and my husband and I both got pedicures. My total was $190. My nail tech was nice but it was the most rushed full set of acrylics I've ever had - maybe 35-40 minutes. Nails are not the same length and are pointed upward. The pedicures seemed ok but today my right heel feels raw. Won't be going back. read more
