Absolutely fantastic everything! The service, the food, the bathrooms and decor-it was all great. They have a good variety of Italian dishes and pizza as well as sandwiches. We had the Gorgonzola gnocchi and cheese pizza slices. The sauce was perfectly done. It was a perfect consistency, not too runny and not too thick. We had enough to bring home for a second meal too which always makes the price better. It was $27 for the two of us but the portions are a good size. The pizza was perfectly done, foldable and a good cheese amount without being too saucy. Our server was so nice, professional and efficient. We will be back! read more

The lunch menu is smoke and mirrors. They have a $9.99 two slice and soft drink lunch. You are told that you can add up to 2 items. I selected Hot Peppers and Green Olives. The pizza was good. Crispy. But why they bake it on a screen is beyond me. My ingredients came back as green olives and red peppers. I told the server the peppers were sweet not hot, not a big deal but it wasn't what I ordered. She responded they were roasted peppers. I said if that's what they are then put that on the menu not HOT peppers. Those are 2 different types of peppers. I received the bill and they billed me extra for 4 ingredients. I asked why I was billed extra for the ingredients you said that I could order 2. She said yes that is the maximum. So if I wanted a third item they refuse to do it. That is what she said ''Because that's the way we do it." This is how cute and petty they are, they bill you .50c for the first item and then .60c for each additional item. Really!!! The server did offer to remake the pizza. I had an appointment to keep and as I pointed out the pizza was good just not the items that I ordered. What the restaurant needs to do is be specific with the menu. Everyone expects to pay for EXTRA ingredients it's only fair but do not create the illusion of a $9.99 lunch that is up to 2 items. Your server did nothing wrong. She even corrected a young lady who brought an opened large bottle of mystery water when in fact I ordered a small Pellegrino. I love the pizza here! I love the Stromboli here! I love the salad here! You can't go wrong with anything you order, because the food is all good. I sometimes come in and just get a slice of pizza and a side salad and I am happy. Other times we get the whole pizza, so we can have leftovers. I have ordered pizza here a couple of times. The pizza is good. A couple of months ago i stopped in for dinner. Had the branzini, it was excellent. Anyway, I ordered a pizza to pick up tonight. They were very busy when I got there, so I asked if I had time for a glass of wine. The greater said, "There's always time for a glass of wine," or something like that. I asked for a glass of Pinot Noir. He insisted on seating me a a nice table why I waited. The serving staff stopped by. The people were polite and efficient. After awhile a man came up and asked if I wanted to try a special wine. I agreed. He brought a glass and poured a little white wine. I tasted it. It was the most delicious, clean, dry white I had ever tasted. It was called Coda di volpe, really good. I posted all of this to point out that this is a surprisingly good place, not just a pizza place. I'm going to make an effort to come back as often as I can. read more

Palace pizza is truly grandeur pizza (and they're called Palace so it's fitting) because that absolutely can be a thing. I know my way around this south location pretty darn well. I've dined in at Southside, I've ordered takeout and picked up dozens of DoorDash orders to deliver, I've ordered from them off DoorDash myself, I've done curbside and probably any other option were there more. Safe to say, I've been there a few fair times. And it's all seriousness when I say they have never once failed or even slightly disappointed me. Somehow, Palace Southside gets slammed with orders nearly every night, but they find a way to almost always keep on time. It's mad impressive. I love ordering online there because I know that not only will the food be delicious, but they will be right on time too. This pizza is just elevated, that's the only way to describe. You can go get your cheap Little Caesars or Pizza Hut pizza, but when I want a slice I'm gonna get the GOOD GOOD, and that comes right from Palace pizza. Their crust is thick, they load the toppings and use fire-roasted ovens. Everything is hot, fresh, and absolutely mouth-watering. Not only do they serve pizza, however. They have stromboli, calzones, pasta, and their famous bread knots (you gotta try those), and dessert to top it off. These guys are pros to the max. Another cool detail is that they serve gluten-free crust for their pizzas if need be, as well as dairy-free ingredients. They've really got it all. My daughter just started to go to college in Lakeland so we have been venturing to find new locations around Lakeland when we visit her. This spot may have ruined us as it is hard to try another Italian restaurant after going here. They brought out bread with a roasted red pepper oil to dip. It was so good. I had the chicken parmesan. Their sunday gravy may have been the best I have ever had. The chicken had a good light coating to where you got a good mix of cheese, protein, and sauce. Then I started to eat the pasta and found it to be some of the best spaghetti I have ever had. I ate a lot more then I should have. My daughter had the gnocchi which was very creamy. The mushrooms had a great flavor and went perfect with the sauce. The only thing better then the food was the service. The dining room is a little compact. However, the tables are shifted in a way that you feel a little more spread out. You can tell that the servers have been serving for a long time and was spotless in their service. read more

We started with some yummy garlic knots and both ordered the fettuccine carbonara and she added a salad. The lunch portion was enough for both lunch and dinner. One of the best carbonara I've had and it's one of my favorite dishes so I've tried it whenever I can (tho I do like it with bucatini). Definitely going to be my go to for local Italian. They also had fresh bread delivered upon sitting down but my mom hoarded that so I am guessing it was pretty good. Can't wait to try the dessert we took home. And this is just the food. Very disappointed with my take out order. Ordered eggplant parm sub with fries. When it was delivered, eggplant was not cooked as described (was NOT breaded at all), the roll tasted stale and the fries were so overcooked they were hard. Will not be ordering from here again. After reading reviews and wanting to try a new pizza place we decided to order from here for delivery. They did not disappoint! Everything was hot and fresh, flavorful, and the pizzas were bigger than expected. The 12" could feed at least 2 people while the 18" could feed 4-5 people. The garlic knots were delicious and soaked in a delicious butter garlic sauce in the bottom which surprisingly didn't make them soggy. The pizzas were a hit by the whole family even my son who is very particular when it comes to his pizza. I love cannolis and I've tried many around Brandon/Tampa and I have to say they have one of the best I've had. The only thing I didn't like about the delivery was along with the delivery fee and the driver tip, you had to pay a 10% service fee for the restaurant. Definitely on the pricier in for delivery but I will say it was worth it. read more

The food was great! I had the carbonara, and it was very good. The service was spectacular. The employees worked as a team, as we were always attended to regarding order, food delivered, empty plates taken away, and etc... On top of the aforementioned service, one of the employees ran out of the restaurant to bring me my leftovers I had forgotten. It was very nice of him, and a reflection of the restaurant in the people they hire. The bill had already been paid, and he did not need to run after to ensure I got it.
