    Gorgonzola gnocchi

Absolutely fantastic everything! The service, the food, the bathrooms and decor-it was all great. They have a good variety of Italian dishes and pizza as well as sandwiches. We had the Gorgonzola gnocchi and cheese pizza slices. The sauce was perfectly done. It was a perfect consistency, not too runny and not too thick. We had enough to bring home for a second meal too which always makes the price better. It was $27 for the two of us but the portions are a good size. The pizza was perfectly done, foldable and a good cheese amount without being too saucy. Our server was so nice, professional and efficient. We will be back!

Can you say fresh and yummy?! This place had a welcoming feeling. From the simple yet wholesome decor, and all the wine options. The staff were friendly and attentive. There wasn't a wait for a midweek dinner. The food came out quickly and both dishes were deliciously. The sauce was everything and that chicken parmigiana, finger licking good. I'll be going back to try another dish.

I love the pizza here! I love the Stromboli here! I love the salad here! You can't go wrong with anything you order, because the food is all good. I sometimes come in and just get a slice of pizza and a side salad and I am happy. Other times we get the whole pizza, so we can have leftovers. The night we all four shared an xl pizza it was the right size for four people. The pizza is so delicious, that I dream about it at night.

Palace pizza is truly grandeur pizza (and they're called Palace so it's fitting) because that absolutely can be a thing. I know my way around this south location pretty darn well. I've dined in at Southside, I've ordered takeout and picked up dozens of DoorDash orders to deliver, I've ordered from them off DoorDash myself, I've done curbside and probably any other option were there more. Safe to say, I've been there a few fair times. And it's all seriousness when I say they have never once failed or even slightly disappointed me. Somehow, Palace Southside gets slammed with orders nearly every night, but they find a way to almost always keep on time. It's mad impressive. I love ordering online there because I know that not only will the food be delicious, but they will be right on time too. This pizza is just elevated, that's the only way to describe. You can go get your cheap Little Caesars or Pizza Hut pizza, but when I want a slice I'm gonna get the GOOD GOOD, and that comes right from Palace pizza. Their crust is thick, they load the toppings and use fire-roasted ovens. Everything is hot, fresh, and absolutely mouth-watering. Not only do they serve pizza, however. They have stromboli, calzones, pasta, and their famous bread knots (you gotta try those), and dessert to top it off. These guys are pros to the max. Another cool detail is that they serve gluten-free crust for their pizzas if need be, as well as dairy-free ingredients. They've really got it all. The original Palace Pizza location is in downtown Lakeland, but this is our beloved Palace store on the south side, and I'm so glad to have it. Elevated pizza only!

A gem of a restaurant…read more I didn't realize this is an order and find a seat instead of a sit down restaurant with wait staff, but I definitely appreciate now that you order and find a table because this means service is fast. We came on a Saturday at about 1250, I am glad we came later because all the tables were taken but one got up while we were ordering our food so we were able to grab it. There is outside seating as well, but if it pours the tables make it wet, even though they are covered. I think on a non-rainy day there are enough tables, but on a rainy day it does get busy inside so I would recommend coming either earlier than noon or later than one. There is a ton of street parking around. One street down there was even free parking so we parked there. There are so many different types of pizza with really interesting ingredients. There was a Caesar salad pizza, which is the one that stuck out to me. We ended up getting just plain cheese pizza for the kids. I love how they have slices of pizza so you can try multiple flavors if you want. We got a meatball appetizer with breadsticks. My older son loved the meatballs, there is pork so I can't eat it. He ate two of the meatballs, and my husband ate two of the meatballs since our younger son didn't want to try it. My older and younger son split the breadstick and my younger son actually liked it more than the garlic knots, so we will definitely have to do this appetizer again. We also got each of them a slice of cheese, pizza, which they both ate enough of to make me realize that we did need to get two instead of one and split it between the two of them. We got a side of fries which my older son initially thought was OK, but then said he didn't like it that much. I think we can skip the fries in the future, but it really depends on whether the older son really wants the fries or not. And my husband got chicken marsala with garlic knots. The garlic knots are amazing. There are absolutely soaked in butter and garlic, so it is the least healthy thing for you on the planet, but it is so worth it. It comes with three garlic knots and we ate all of it. The chicken marsala was very good too. We got it with rigatoni and it is a huge plate so we split it. I didn't get food because I knew that nobody would finish the food that they got so I ended up eating off of everyone's plate. This was definitely the way to go, we did have some leftovers, but I think if we skipped the fries, we wouldn't have had food to take home. The people working here are all very friendly and the food was really quick. They bring the food out when it's ready. They also have a full bar which I thought is great if you want to make this longer meal. I love this place and prices were super reasonable. I will definitely come back.

We tried several pizzas, including the pepperoni pizza with the garlic-knot crust, chicken Alfredo pizza, BBQ pizza, and Meat Delight. The pepperoni pizza itself was good, but I was a little disappointed by the garlic knots built into the crust. What's strange is that their regular garlic knots are completely different and AMAZING. Seriously, those were probably one of my favorite things we ordered. If the garlic-knot crust tasted like the standalone knots, that pizza would easily be top-tier. The BBQ pizza and Meat Delight were both pretty good and I would order either again. The chicken Alfredo pizza, however, was my least favorite. I personally didn't enjoy the flavor combination enough to recommend that one. The restaurant has that casual, old-school New York pizza/Italian joint vibe, nothing overly fancy, just a comfortable place to grab a slice or sit down for a meal. The staff was friendly during our visit, and everything felt pretty laid-back. Overall, definitely worth stopping in if you're craving pizza, but do yourself a favor and get an order of the regular garlic knots. Those alone are worth it. I'd come back to try more of the pizza and probably give the pasta a shot next time.

She was incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful, and really made us feel welcome. I started with the bean soup, which was absolutely delicious--warm, flavorful, and comforting. For my main course, I ordered the salmon pasta in vodka sauce, and it was excellent! The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the creamy vodka sauce paired beautifully with the pasta. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which was also delicious, and we had steamed broccoli on the side. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. We also learned that Palace is a family-owned restaurant and that the owner is Italian, which made the experience feel even more authentic and personal. From the time I was seated, to my waiter (Matthew) service and talking to the owner (Ray). Being from The Villages area, my friend & I like to visit restaurants that are not in our area; usually we go to lunch. My friend got the Chicken Parm & the piece of Chicken was huge & very tender. My choice was the Italian Deli Sandwich which was very yummy. I am a travel agent who does many local bus trips & I am planning on bringing a group of 34 ladies to this establishment. Before I got home, Hailey (Ray's wife) already sent me several group menus. I was very impressed with how quickly Hailey responded. FYI - I did not make a reservation so Ray did not know I was coming over ahead to time. They just treated me like anyone else. I would highly recommend this restaurant for you personal pleasure but also if you have a group who would like to go somewhere different. When you walk in the ambiance is like an upscale place but the pricing is great and compares to other eateries. So do your self a favor & give them a try. You won't regret it.

We were seated in the back room for a birthday dinner celebration. The room was extremely dark and we couldn't turn on the other lights because it was connected to the most dustiest ceiling fans that had at least 1/4 of an inch thick of dust. The woman who was coming in and out of the room to pour water in the water glasses had an attitude like she didn't want to be there. I asked her a question about the menu and she very dryly told me "you can't order that unless you are on the other side" then walked away. That's when I was inquiring about the bistro menu. At that point I knew I wasn't going to be able to eat anything there due to their lack of plant based items or even easily adjustable items so I just ate the bruschetta. However when we placed the order for the bruschetta it never came out. So once we asked about it, it was then comped and brought out. Our waiter was very irritated and annoyed it seemed with the large party he had to tend to but his assistant which was a younger more personable guy was way more pleasant to be around. The cost point for the food was beyond the taste and size of the portions. When I asked about kid options, the waiter told me he could have the chef make a kids steak or chicken tenders and fries. It was my mistake for not asking for the price since I assumed it was a kids portion. Granted the tiniest steak did come out I still had to pay over $24 which I would have purchased the regular adult size if that was the case. So some clarity on the menu options for the kids would have been greatly appreciated. I can go on and on about this place but ultimately I would recommend not to go here unless you don't care about customer service or price points. Upon leaving the family event, and getting home I then realized my debit card was never returned to me by our gracious waiter. So once we returned to retrieve the card another day we were greeted with the rudest and most annoyed individuals at the host station. Needless to say we will never ever return.
