We had a great time preparing the different dishes that she had planned out for that night. We prepared beef and chorizo empanadas, mahi ceviche and a plantain stuffed with goat cheese. All the dishes were delicious! Chef Patty is very personable, you feel like you are being taught how to cook by a friend. The class was called Culinarium: A Taste of Latin Fusion. She teaches various other classes covering a wide range of dishes. I strongly encourage anyone who likes to cook or wants to experience something different to take one of these classes. Throughout the class Chef Patty dishes out little tidbits of cooking tips. My wife and I also really enjoyed sitting down and talking with Chef Patty and her assistant Chef Jimmy and the rest of the attendees (there were only 2 others in our class, which was pretty cool) while we ate what we had cooked. Me and my wife will definitely be attending another one of Chef Patty's events as soon as we can. I'll reiterate, it was an AWESOME EXPERIENCE!

I was simply standing next to him. Instead of explaining the policy politely, the staff were dismissive and rude. If this is really their policy, they should at least communicate it respectfully. I left the store so that he may purchase what he came for and they scanned his ID and called the manager. The manager refused the sale as he "had a girl with him previously." Definitely won't be coming back. Customer service like this is unacceptable and the manager should be fired. They seem to pick and choose who the "rules" apply to as a teenage-looking boy left the store afterwards unscathed. SEXISM in this day and age is crazy. I will be going out of my way to NOT RECOMMEND this store to EVERYONE I KNOW!!! They do not deserve business you should go to big daddy's for a much "boujier" and KINDER experience. You would find a much nicer experience at your local gas station.

I saw some guy being rude to an older man in front of em. The man just walked away. I asked if they were doing samples and his response was"what's your price range" lol how about asking me what kind of whiskey I'm in to. Don't worry about what's in my wallet. I will buy of if I like what I'm tasting and the person is really genuine about selling the product. But if you give off this I don't wanna talk to you because I don't think you will buy attitude.. guess what I'm not going to buy. Just lost a sale. Compared to the girl selling vodka. Super nice. Smile on her face. Gave us samples even though I told her I didn't like tequila to much. Showed us where the product was and I swear if I liked tequila I would have bought the bottle! That's how nice she was. Anyways, this store almost always has what I'm looking for!! The new thc drinks are amazing!! And I love how they have the smaller bottles so you can try it before committing to a large bottle. Definitely the place I go to when I need to get a specific bottle that I can't find anywhere else. This place has it all!! Just hire the right promo people please.

Ayesha's energy is so contagious, we are all excited to get to cooking! This cooking class is not your usual cooking class. Instead of partnering with someone to cook each meal, everyone kind of just broke up in to groups and focused on different dishes. It was a bit chaotic but so much fun! Who knew cooking along a group of strangers in a strangers home could be so effortless? Ayesha made everything very easy. I attended the This Is It - Lamb course. We cooked a delicious salad, okra, lamb kebabs and lamb Rogan Josh. Every bite of each dish was out of this world. The food was lighter than Indian cuisine I've had in the past, I noticed she didn't use nearly as much cream as some recipes I've seen. Ayesha also taught us plenty about Indian spices and their multifunctionality. It's too bad that Ayesha lives all the way in Kendall. If she lived closer, I'd be over all of the time! Greta group activity or date night, totally worth it!

I think the prices are a little high but the place was still packed. We were able to snag a table for 4 and we ordered coffees and tea (came in a cute teapot with matching cup and saucer). We opted to share sandwiches de miga (9 small assorted was $23). Service was very friendly. We ordered at the counter and they brought our drinks to table. After lunch we perused the store and I bought my favorite cheese (cuartirolo), a nice baguette and some biscocho de grasa ( literally translates to lard crackers!). They are super yummy with the cheese. If you're in the area visit this lovely market. They have a full size butcher with all sorts of meats priced very reasonably.

The mercado has a great wine selection, a bakery section, an extensive selection of empanadas, and you can order lunch entree and sit down in a nice area to eat. This time I came for the empanadas, and they didn't disappoint. I had the meat empanadas, the chicken, and the ham and cheese. The Meat empanadas have mildly seasoned ground beat with things like visible caramelized onions, raisins, and a small amount of chopped hard boiled eggs (traditional ingredient). The crust is very nicely executed, shinny, crunchy, and tasty. The Chicken empanada wasn't my favorite. They used very mildly season shredded white meat chicken that is not juicy at all. It was bordering on dry, but I did go early so I imagine that it only gets dryer in the afternoon. The Ham and Cheese empanada was excellent--just the right amount of ham and cheese. there are no surprises in this one. They also make a great churrasco and steak sandwich. I've had both. I would skip the Cuernitos, which are horns-shaped small breads that are too dense here. The flavor is on point, but I recommend passing on them unless you're going to take them home and heat them up before eating them.
