Terrible experience. If I could rate 0 stars I would!!!!! My husband attempted to buy alcohol and one of the employees said we had to leave because I didn't have my ID, even though I wasn't the one purchasing anything. I was simply standing next to him. Instead of explaining the policy politely, the staff were dismissive and rude. If this is really their policy, they should at least communicate it respectfully. I left the store so that he may purchase what he came for and they scanned his ID and called the manager. The manager refused the sale as he "had a girl with him previously." Definitely won't be coming back. Customer service like this is unacceptable and the manager should be fired. They seem to pick and choose who the "rules" apply to as a teenage-looking boy left the store afterwards unscathed. SEXISM in this day and age is crazy. I will be going out of my way to NOT RECOMMEND this store to EVERYONE I KNOW!!! They do not deserve business you should go to big daddy's for a much "boujier" and KINDER experience. I would give this place a 5 but they keep hiring people to sample and sell but they act like you don't even have the money to sample even though you are interested in buying. I saw some guy being rude to an older man in front of em. The man just walked away. I asked if they were doing samples and his response was"what's your price range" lol how about asking me what kind of whiskey I'm in to. Don't worry about what's in my wallet. I have always been a fan of Total Wine and More and have visited their stores in every city I have lived in and most of the cities I have traveled to. Whether it is for a casual bottle of wine for dinner or a premium bottle for a special occasion, I find it to be a great place to shop. I have also held events in their wonderful event rooms and been incredibly impressed at how accommodating they are on those occasions. I admit that the expertise of the staff is extremely variable, but I have found some gems who have led me to try the finest wines and liquors I have ever tasted. Although I have lived in Miami now for over a year, this was my first visit to my closest location at The Palms. I walked around and was very happy with the selection and especially happy with the premium wine case. I did notice as I was about to select a 2018 Caymus special selection at the front bottle was a 2019 which I found a bit strange considering that the public does not have access to those wines in the case without a member of the staff. It really did not matter because after waiting about 15 to 20 minutes for somebody to come over and help me, I no longer have the enthusiasm to purchase the bottle. And honestly, this is where this particular Total Wine and More seem to have dropped the ball. Service was sorely lacking. This was even more evident as I walked over to where the tasting sign was in hopes of trying some of the featured bourbons. I stood there again about 10 to 15 minutes before somebody actually walked up to the table. He came over with two other customers and serve them a couple of tastes and completely ignored my wife and me. Since he was dressed in a vest that identified him as an employee, I can be certain that he was not an outside vendor. The reason this is important is that at both the vodka table and a spritz table there were outside vendors who were friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful. Especially the representative from Saint Spritz, who won me over as a customer not just because she had an excellent product but because of how well she treated us. As far as the rest of the store, it is organized extremely well. The tequila section is among the most extensive I have ever seen with the Clase Azul being well priced and an option I had not tried before being displayed beautifully enough for me to consider purchasing. The scotch section had all my favorites including some premium Macallan varieties that I am just waiting for special occasions to try. All in all, Total Wine and More remains my go to place for wine and liquor in the store will certainly end up as the one I frequent, but I do hope they step up their level of service to be as welcoming as the other ones that I have visited. read more

I understand total wine's policy and have read totals wines policy various times. With this knowledge I believe that it is acceptable to write this complaint. I (22 yr old) went in with my brother of 16 years old to buy a GIFT CARD for our uncles birthday . No one stopped us when we came in and as far as I was concerned my brother just couldn't go by himself to get the gift card per the policy. However when we go to pay and the cashier IDs me like normal he then asks for my brother's ID. He gives his ID normally and says I'm not over 21 but I'm not buying the gift card. They say we cannot purchase a gift card cause he's underage. Now I understand if I was buying a bottle of something, they have no clue if I am buying just to give it to him outside. However, thinking about it logically, what is a minor going to do with a gift card from total wine? I have only been to total wine once before, as a minor with my family, I was 20 years old at the time and my parents bought things with no problem. Also the policy states that a minor is allowed to go in with a legal guardian over 21. Therefore, how are you supposed to buy things when your party is under 21. I also feel there was no need for three male workers and a BIG man of a manager to surround us and "stop us" when we were just a young woman and a teenage boy. I found the experience very frustrating and felt stereotyped just because I look "younger" in a sense, and they decided to take advantage, if my mother had gone in with my brother it would have been a different outcome. I also want to state that I did go in to try to buy the gift card once more, without my brother and a worker just passed by to say I can't purchase it. The older woman working with me the second time was respectful and understanding however, the manager and other males workers that crowded us the first time were being very rude and condescending, not understanding the simple task that I was just trying to buy a gift for my OVERAGE uncle. Ruined my experience entirely, and please change your policy, to state, "no one under the age of 21 can come into the store, because you cannot pay at the cash register with someone under 21" stop contradicting yourself. read more

We came here Saturday night and the place was jumping. This store has a lot to choose from. Anything you want in terms of any type of liquor or wine or beer you can find here. He bought Avozora ultra premium vodka. The price is not bad at all. It is very smooth and clean tasting. I never have a hangover when I drink this and it is the third bottle I have enjoyed. The guy who created this vodka is a Miami native named Alex....I forgot his last name. My boyfriend is friends with Alex and he puts a lot of hard work into the vodka he produces. OK, back to the store. All these Total Wine stores are great. I like this store a little less than my Pembroke Pines store but only because I am less familiar with the setup here. If there is one type of store that there is no shortage of in Kendall, it is a liquor store. From small ones in a corner of a hidden mall, cheap ones, classy ones, and at the top of the chain Total Wine. Every one of these stores has its own unique feature and personality, per se, but when in doubt, if you are looking for a one-stop shop, Total Wine is the place to go. The volume and the selection simply cannot be matched and the prices are reasonable, and obviously we are not just talking wine, but beer, hard liquor, mixers, and anything in between. And of course, I, for one, would like to take the credit for keeping all these businesses going. Well, maybe not a full credit, but a partial credit, because I purchase a lot of alcohol from all these stores, specially Total Wine. Not that I drink too much, well, I guess that depends on what you call "too much", but I make a lot of mixed drinks, from Mojito, Moscow Mule, and Sex on the Beach, to Buttery Nipples and Screaming Orgasms, and I take these drinks with me everywhere. I have been coming to this location for years, the service and quality of wine has always been good. Yesterday we participated in a High End Wine Tasting, the setup was nice, the variety and quality of wines were very good, the food catered by Bar Louie, located inside Town & Country Mall was super good, the short-ribs were delish and the guy serving very helpful. The overall experience was excellent, a bunch of people were talking to each other and sipping good wines. About 2 hours away from their phones interacting like humans are supposed to do. My only suggestions are; to use better wine glasses so the wine's flavors can shine and to start on time, people that are on the dot shouldn't be penalized for late-comers. At the end I went to buy a couple of bottles and Joseph (the new assistance manager) took really good care of me. I think I will be back soon for more... read more

Found everything I was looking for with a good price tag. They have liquor with great prices and have constant deals/coupons that they send to you. When I came this time someone left a bottle out on a counter and my bookbag knocked it over. I was so embarrassed and upset someone would leave a bottle out of place so easily knocked over. They quickly came and cleaned it. Despite my 1000 apologies they assured me it happens frequently. I was happy that they made me feel at ease. Popped in here to pick up my favorite bottle of Milton Park Shiraz. I was greeted upon entering but not offered any help. I wandered around for a few minutes before I finally asked for help. The guy who helped me was really nice and suggested trying the Jam Jar Shiraz. I did end up buying it and it's absolutely delicious! There's a really nice "education" room in the back of the store for tastings and events. I've been to many Total Wine locations and never seen one before so I'll have to look into it. A friend of my boyfriend's was in town for her birthday. Needless to say, she was having a shinding and we were all bound to get together. They even had taste-testing tables. The first table we went to was a wine table attended by Marci. Marci was a sweetheart, letting us sample wine. I am not much of a drinker, but she found the wine that I fell in love with. She even told me about ways I could enjoy it more. I was going to buy the wine, but then our friend bought the bottle for me; thank you, Bob. Other than that, we went to a tequila table where we were attended by Catherine. She was also attentive, but eh, after trying that tequila, I definitely think I should have had that tequila first and the wine later. Oh well; I will make a note of it for next time.
