Well, this is a two-for regarding the station and the train itself. We parked our vehicle and…read morecaught the train. The Amtrak station wasn't crowded; it was clean and the staff was very pleasant. There seems to have been some renovations going on at the station, which is good. It was an easy process to check our luggage and just wait on the train, which was delayed a bit. Of note, there were delays throughout the trip. Not one time was any of the trains ever on time. There were multiple stops along the way to pick up travelers and to drop off travelers at various stations. But we always made the next connection. This was our first train ride of this kind. Both my husband and I wanted the experience of an overnight train ride. We traveled from Jacksonville to New York City (overnight), then caught another train (9-hour ride; Coach seats very comfortable; very ample leg room) from New York City to Niagara Falls, then took a taxi across the border to the Canadian side. Though we paid for a "first class" experience, the accommodations were definitely not "first class." Definitely need an upgrade in terms of the rooms. Still, the experience of traveling and not having to deal with anything near the stress of catching a flight was just very satisfying. We purchased the bedroom and the space was very tight, but it was private and peaceful. Enjoying the scenery along the way was awesome. The meals were good and the service we received was top notch. With the meals, we had the option of eating in the dining room, or having our meals brought to our room. We exercised both options throughout the trip. Note, there is a "cafe" on board the train as well for those who were riding coach and for anyone who wanted to purchase food in between meals. On our return trip back, we had a bit of a layover in NY so we were able to enjoy the lounge (complimentary food, spacious seating area). The staff at the station in NY City train station were simply amazing; so very helpful and with great attitudes - considering the hustle and bustle!

Outstanding Service Every Time!…read more We have used Nick's Airport Shuttle several times now for roundtrips from Palm Coast to both Jacksonville and Orlando airports, and every experience has been excellent. Most recently, we booked them to pick up our daughter from Orlando, and they'll soon be taking our large group to the airport for our trip to Alaska. No matter the occasion, Nick's team always delivers. Using Nick's shuttle feels like having your own personal driver. The vehicles are spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. The drivers are professional, punctual, and friendly, and Nick himself is a great guy--a fellow Navy veteran who takes pride in his business and his customers. His attention to detail and reliability make travel so much easier. Update - October 2025: We recently traveled to Canada and returned on a one-way cruise to Miami. Nick's shuttle took us to Jacksonville for our flight, and two weeks later, he was right there in Miami to pick us up after the cruise. That seamless coordination made our vacation stress-free from start to finish. We love using Nick's service because it truly takes the hassle out of travel and lets us focus on enjoying the journey. We will continue to use Nick's Airport Shuttle for all our future trips. If you want peace of mind, professionalism, and a friendly face to get you where you need to go, Nick's is the best choice. They get our highest recommendation

Brightline Orlando Station to West Palm Beach…read more When Richard Branson helped bring Brightline train service connecting Orlando and South Florida, I thought, oh my gosh--what a great concept! Well, I recently had the opportunity to actually put it to use. I couldn't get a flight out of Orlando, so instead of stressing, I decided to take Brightline from Orlando to West Palm Beach, where I was able to catch a flight. And I'm so glad I did! I upgraded to Premium, which included drinks, a meal, and snacks. Definitely worth the upgrade! The seats were comfortable with more than enough legroom, tray tables for dining, and reclining seats. The train itself was clean, the ride was incredibly smooth, and we arrived in a timely manner. The onboard service was wonderful! The attendant was very friendly and came around offering drinks, snacks, and lunch. I enjoyed a Bloody Mary with a tin of sour cream chips, and for lunch I had the chicken and corn pasta, which was pretty good. Overall, this turned what could have been a frustrating travel day into a comfortable and relaxing experience. Couldn't get a flight? Brightline to the rescue! I would absolutely ride Brightline again, and Premium is the way to go!

All lots full except South economy. 15-minute wait for the shuttle, 30-minute ride to the station. That consumed the entire recommended arrival buffer before we ever reached the platform. At the station, the manager on duty declined to assist and told me to call a number listed on the website -- the website lists no phone number. I found the Orlando general manager's line myself. He told me roughly 10% of passengers miss trains due to oversleeping, suggested I wasn't being honest, and ended the call. The train service itself may be fine. The ground operation at Orlando and the customer service behind it are not. If you go, plan for 90 minutes and expect no help if the shuttle fails you.
