As I was out running errands on a Sunday morning around 10am, I decided to stop by Pale Horse Coffee. Since there weren't any street parking, I parked in the free, parking garage nearby, which was very convenient. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and encouraged to take my time looking over the menu. Everything sounded great but I decided on an iced Rip Cord which was a toffee & cinnamon latte. I requested almond milk and it wasn't a problem at all. My coffee was made in no time and tasted amazing! The toffee and cinnamon paired wonderfully together! I absolutely love this coffee spot! The staff were super friendly and it has quite a large seating area for those that want to sit and enjoy their coffee, there's a few outside tables as well. The next time I'm in the area, I will definitely be stopping in to try one of their other amazing lattes!

My new favorite drink at Pale Horse Coffee is The Guardian. It has delicious salted caramel notes in it and is smooth and tasty. I love coming to this coffee shop and sitting at the bar type seats by the window. It's a relaxing and refreshing ambiance. Staff is quick and polite. Place is organized. I love the vibe in here!

"Stay caffeinated. Stay angry. Look unapproachable." -Pale Horse Coffee From 06:30 until noon, Pale Horse was my "office" and it was awesome. Fantastic coffee, a comfortable space and great wifi. Easy parking and a huge indoor space that was quiet and had all that I needed including two cups of amazingly delicious drip coffee. [Review 914 of 2025 - 1503 in Virginia - 24470 overall]

We stopped by Pale Horse Coffee recently to enjoy our favorite lattes. My Wife likes the Osprey, which is espresso served with peanut butter flavored syrup. I like the Wart Hog which is espresso served with White Chocolate and a touch of cinnamon. The staff here is amazing, friendly and fast! I highly recommend this fantastic coffee shop!

I only very recently checked out Pale Horse coffee but I've since been back 3 times this week! I'm happy to support this veteran-owned business and get my coffee fix at the same time. This location is in Summit Pointe off Volvo Parkway and is on the strip between Wasserhund brewing and Luce Secondo. They have a couple of tables outside for al fresco coffee enjoyment, and they have been occupied each of my visits so I usually grab a nearby bench to enjoy my latte. The interior is spacious and welcoming to both small and large groups. They also offer retail items and bulk coffee for purchase. Their menu offers the standard espresso orders, both dark and medium roast drip coffee and a number of specialty lattes. I have tried both the Warthog and Osprey and really enjoyed both, but the Warthog is a favorite so far. I appreciate that they also offer decaf espresso and have a variety of milk options. They have weekly specials for those who love to try something new. On each visit, service has been wonderful. The staff has been welcoming and kind and answered any questions I've had. I've also never waited more than 2-3 minutes for my orders, even on a busy Saturday. I really enjoy my trips to Pale Horse and have found a new favorite coffee shop. Skip the Starbucks (char-bucks) and support local business!

The inside is very spacious. I didn't find the seating super comfortable though, it's basically a metal chair or by the wall a ledge. Perhaps some pillows or seat cushions would be nice. I just went with a normal cappuccino. If was good and pretty strong. Staff was super nice and the coffee came out quickly. Nice place for a coffee .

Pale horse located in Chesapeake is a good location to meet up for coffee and conversation. The coffee is fresh and delicious, it also depends on who makes it with an extra touch of love. The staff, especially the weekend staff is friendly and hospitable. I wish they will offer a dark chocolate mocha or syrup to add to the flavors.

Wishing we had one on the peninsula!! Definitely will stop here when in Chesapeake! Great ambiance great drinks !! Was sad they didn't have any more burritos in stock but the coffee made up for it!

We got an iced warthog and ripcord lattes. Both were really good, the barista made our drinks so quickly. The seating area is big and very clean. They have a lot of syrups for drink customization.

What a great coffee shop!!! Upon entering, the employees were so friendly. They have an extensive menu of coffees, teas, and other options. The coffee was amazing! It had a smooth taste, not bitter or dark. I had the Sugar Free White Chocolate Mocha syrup with half and half. It was served very hot and was a nice size portion. Wish we lived nearby-we would definitely go back! Highly recommend.

Great service and good coffee. The drip is on rotation and the espresso drinks are on point. Great service always friendly and knowledgeable. Bonus, the doctor watches over you at the front to keep you safe.

We entered this place and enjoyed the ambiance right of way there was comfortable seating arrangements. The staff and service was professional and prompt. Our Drinks were delicious and I had no complaints. I did not pay attention to see if they offered any food but I did notice merchandise was available for purchase and I was glad to have come in for a visit!

My husband and I are regulars at Big Ugly but I've never taken the opportunity to try Taxus Street until this week. I tried to come on Monday and quickly learned they were closed, so returned the following day. They operate inside the brewery and have a nice setup in the corner. There is lots of seating - bars and high tops - and it's a great spot for a morning gathering. There was a meeting in the upstairs loft happening during my visit. The barista who assisted me was working solo. She was super friendly and happy to answer my questions. I was glad to hear they offer decaf espresso. I opted to try one of their seasonal lattes - the Mounds Bar latte with almond milk, mocha and coconut cold foam. It took only a few minutes for my order to be prepared. I did find the drink to be slightly sweet for my taste and would ask for half sweet on my next visit. For the lactose intolerant, they have almond and oat milk options. They also have several pastries and some hot food options to choose from like overnight oats and breakfast burritos from Burrito Perdido. I was really pleased with my recent visit and I'll be happy to come back soon!

So we wandered over to Pinup Coffee at Back Bay Farmhouse Brewery, and we're glad we did. I ordered the Salty Texan, a delicious take on the classic caramel macchiato. It was smooth, well-balanced, and just the right combination of sweet and salty. I would definitely order it again. The seating was comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it turned out to be much more than just a stop for coffee. We struck up a conversation with a wonderful mother and daughter visiting from Wisconsin. During our chat, the daughter shared that she was getting married later today. It was one of those unexpected moments that reminds you how enjoyable simple conversations with complete strangers can be. Great coffee, outstanding doughnuts, comfortable surroundings, and memorable conversation--it made for a wonderful morning. If you're visiting Back Bay Farmhouse Brewery, Pinup Coffee is well worth a stop.

I love their options of drinks an biscuits, I've especially been craving their bacon and cheddar biscuit since I've last had it, and it's nice to go to a cafe that dos things a little differently than the standard! One thing I also adore about this location is how they will host small markets on the lawn outside the house! One time me and my friend finished chatting and having coffee and we unknowingly walked outside to see a bunch of vendors that weren't there before! It was so fun to walk around and speak with everyone, they were all so sweet and I ended up buying multiple things unplanned! I will say it can be a tight squeeze between the doorway and the counter when ordering as the hallway is small and the line can grow rapidly. But if it's not cold outside or busy there then it's not really an issue at all! I'm sad that they aren't open past 1-2PM most days, but that's understandable given the business they run and thier location! Overall, I couldn't recommend tho place more for anyone wanting a new study spot or place to try out in general in VB!

Battlefield Boulevard, just outside the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake. Having visited their Summit Pointe location before, we were pleasantly surprised by just how spacious this café is. The Great Bridge location offers plenty of comfortable seating, making it an ideal place to meet friends, catch up on work, or simply relax with a great cup of coffee. Their retail area is also much larger, featuring an impressive selection of branded T-shirts, hoodies, mugs, coffee beans, and other merchandise for those who want to take a little piece of Pale Horse home with them. We arrived just before the Saturday morning rush, which proved to be perfect timing. No sooner had we settled into our seats with our lattes than a group of nearly thirty people walked through the door. It didn't take long for the shop to become a lively gathering place. Despite the growing crowd, the atmosphere remained welcoming and unhurried. Whether you're looking for a quiet corner to enjoy your favorite espresso drink or simply stopping by to grab a coffee on the go, Pale Horse has created an environment that encourages you to stay awhile. In addition to an excellent selection of coffee, espresso, and handcrafted lattes, they also offer a variety of fresh baked goods if you're looking for something to enjoy alongside your drink. One piece of advice: arrive early. Word has definitely gotten out about this place, and it's easy to see why. Even if you happen to visit during a busy period and have to wait a few extra minutes, the quality of the coffee and the friendly atmosphere make it well worth your patience. Pale Horse Coffee continues to prove that great coffee is only part of the experience. Comfortable surroundings, friendly service, and a welcoming community are what keep people coming back--and after this visit, it's easy to understand why. !
