    Mocha and kouign-amann

One of the most underrated coffee shops in Norfolk! Voyager Cold Brew Coffee (VCBC) is wedged between a real estate office and Elation Brewing, so the location is really not that obvious from the street. You'd either have to be visiting one of the other businesses or you have to have heard of it on social media or through word-of-mouth. The visibility of the shop is the only thing that is not going for them. They do have a standing "Cold Brew" banner outside though, but you know how us humans are. We don't read.... First, the space is lovely. I love old buildings, brick walls, rustic, faded, old artwork etc. and VCBC has all of it. It is a small spot, but they've made do with the space and have created a more communal setting with long table and bench set up, with counter seating by the window and one table and chair set. There are outlets built into the counter seats by the window which is super convenient. Great place to work remotely! People do come in and out, but the noise level never gets too distracting. The staff is always super friendly. Rebecca, who has been with them since the beginning, IS THE BEST! Super nice person and so personable. She makes the tastiest drinks! My go-to there is Kokohead cold brew with chocolate and half and half. I know, it sounds rich, because it is. A girl likes to dream....I LOVE it! Just the way I like my coffee! They also get baked goods from Chelsea Bakehouse. They usually rotate between chocolate croissants, the crumb cake, the kouign-amann (who named this thing?) and cookies. I've had them all, all great! The shop is also connected from the inside to Elation Brewing. If you need to use the loo, you just walk on over and go to the left. Great place to work or meet up with great coffee, some light bites and best of all, served with all smiles. Stay safe, Friends!

Stop 12 on my Coastal Coffee Trail. Wednesday afternoon parking is fine but it is a small lot. Inside is nice. I love the big wood tables and the old mirrors on the wall. The restrooms are shared by the business next door. Friendly staff and wonderful smiles. I got their special latte of the day the Honey Bun- vanilla, honey, and cinnamon. It was pretty good. Funny thing happened my friend ordered something different but when she tasted mine she said they tasted exactly the same. We like a lot of the same things. We also got the pop tarts . The flavor was awesome but they were a bit too hard. I only ate 1/2 of mine. I would definitely get something different when I go back. I will not get the pop tart. It was over cooked. Ok there is potential for popping the stars up because it is beautiful inside. I was not wild about my latte, it was fine. It just fell flat for me. And the pop tart had great flavor but it was way to hard.

If I lived closer this would be my spot! I first learned of Voyager when I was invited to a YEE. I then won a giveaway on IG and received a gift card. I've been a numerous of times and their coffee is amazing! Its such a cute little shop that's connected to a brewery. I've tried a few different drinks and the white mocha is my favorite. I'm not an iced coffee person and their iced coffee is to die for. I will say I tried their desserts. It would be a lot better if they could warm them but they don't have a warmer. I am glad this place has been recommended and I will continue going.

This wasn't my first time here, but still the same exceptional treatment and quality tasting products as the first. The coffee still tasted incredible as did the baked goods sourced locally from Chelsea Bakehouse. In need of caffeine? The cold brew is on point. The road to Hana is my go to with it being the medium roast, but my hubby opted for the French press with the dark roast, Stairway to Heaven. No complaints from either of us. We also are starting the Coastal Coffee Trail so we got our card punched and sat down and enjoyed the peaceful ambience. Hungry? Y'all, THE APRICOT POPTART! I'm not an apricot fan, but let me tell you - I liked it so much I bought one to take home. I recommend trying it!

We made the "voyage" (ok, I know...yes, it's a pun & it was intended) to Voyager Cold Brew. Let me first say--I am NOT a coffee drinker! I know about it, I see others drink it, I have tasted it, but I don't really order it. It has become so tricky to order now, I just opt for tea instead. Then I came here...one of the reasons I shy away from coffee is the dairy...I am not a milk fan. The staff explained my options and even suggested OAK MILK instead. Oh, I am a believer now. I ordered a salted caramel latte with oat milk and it was absolutely heavenly. Rich with flavor and just a slight caramel hint on the back end. My husband used to say "I hate cold brew!" And after a sample of this nitro-cooled cold brew Kona blend, he had to change his tune. He is a fan now! Ultimately, he chose a large French press of the Kona blend and they really mean LARGE when they say LARGE! He had enough coffee for almost three cups! Next time, (oh we are definitely coming back), we will probably just share the large French press. This is definitely the new hidden gem of Norfolk!

Toffee Nut Iced Latte with almond milk and a chocolate croissant

Stop #9 on the coastal coffee trail. First plus, there is a parking lot! Love it! It's not a huge lot and I'm not sure if it's shared by the brewery but when I went I got a spot no problem! I have a usually coffee order which is some sort of flavor iced latte with almond milk (I usually pick sugar free if the option is available) I didn't see a sugar free option so I went with toffee nut. The toffee nut was a good flavor but the coffee was not a very strong flavor. It was more of a sweet drink than I like but my husband who likes coffee with his cream enjoyed it. It was good but just not my favorite. I also got the chocolate croissant which was my favorite part! Overall, a great stop for coffee and a pastry. Probably not my go to but if I was ever back I wouldn't decline ordering a coffee ‍

Super quaint and cute coffee shop! Didn't get to snag a pic of what I ordered but I found that their prices were super reasonable for the amount of coffee you got! I also had their " everything croissant" (aka everything bagel in croissant form) and that was DELISH! The croissant was warm, buttery and just the right amount of flakey! Can get busy at times but for the most part super quiet and easy to concentrate if you have a lot of work to get done. It's connected to Elation Brewing Co and we hopped over there for their lunch menu! Super convenient if you have a long work day ahead of you :)

Stopped in today for their soft opening, the grand opening is Saturday February 26th, 2022. This shop sells, LEGIT Nitro Cold brew coffee ON TAP for drinking there and to go in cans and to go cups. They also have espresso, hot coffee (I'm french presses!) and kombucha! They have partnered with Elation Brewing to make their cold brew right here in Norfolk! I'm really excited! They Several flavors of nitro cold brew on tap. Until today I had only had their coffee from a can. LIFE CHANGED! Think drinking Guinness from a can (or poured into a glass from a can) vs fresh from the tap, same concept with nitro cold brew. Watching the brew separate in the cup was legit. PERFECT amount of head on top( may not be the correct term here, educate me if it's called something different with coffee). SOOOOO smooth! If you're not a huge coffee drinker because it's too bitter, you have to try cold brew. All the flavor, more caffeine and super smooth! Pastries were available for purchase as well. Other food options are available at Elation Brewing next door. During brewery hours there's a connecting door. I'm guessing you'll be able to go back and forth between the two inside as well as outside. There is WiFi there so good place to relax grab a drink and do some homework (that's what I'm planning to do). Met the owner Antone Aku. Very friendly and super passionate about what he's doing! Glad he's joining the Colley Ave offerings!

Came in here with a few friends for a morning cup of coffee and to my surprise, it was located inside Elation. Pretty cool that they have a an awesome brewery as well as a nice, low key coffee shop. The coffees are named after hikes in Hawaii. I got the Road to Hana and it was pretty tasty! Would come back here for sure.

Excellent craft coffee! Their mochas are the best and the bakery case never disappoints. Connected to Elation Brewing so you could start with coffee and roll right into beer!

Really delicious coffee. I've been twice so far and haven't been disappointed yet. Very friendly people and the setting is very chill. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it was made to perfection. With it being so close to my house, I can't wait to take more trips here.

Stopped in for a coffee on Saturday morning. My husband enjoyed the cold brew coffee. I got a dirty chai with toffee nut which was very good. Picked up some beans from Big Island Coffee Roasters in Hawai'i.

This is a cute coffee shop. The staff was friendly and helpful. The coffee was excellent and we even bought a bag to go. We'll be back here for sure.
