They completely missed the fact my cat had mouth cancer even though his face was asymmetrical and swollen!!!! As a pet owner, you expect compassion, transparency, and confidence from the people caring for your animal -- especially when your pet is suffering. Instead, they made me pay several hundred dollars for arthritis tests!! On top of everything th staff was awful to my animal! Pinning him down and yelling at him!!! I would not recommend this clinic to friends, family, or anyone looking for quality veterinary care.

I brought it up at the time--credit cards are the safest, most common way to pay in 2025. I don't carry cash or a debit card. I get that processing fees are a pain, but passing that onto consumers is wild. They offered to email me a payment link so we could use a debit card, but the 3% fee was already added--and hidden--with no invoice, just a total. Turns out, to avoid the fee, you have to go in person or pay over the phone. Which brings me back to the point: credit cards are safe; debit cards are not. Hiding a charge like that behind a lump sum total is absolutely criminal. Lucky we checked--and lucky we won't be going back. If you're finding ways to bury fees in invoices to make people pay more, you're not running an honest business. It's like a server sneaking extra drinks onto a big tab. It's theft. 2. They try to sell you. We all love our pets and want what's best for them. But just like at the dentist, I don't need the upsell. If something's truly needed, I'll do it--no hesitation. For example, they recommended bloodwork for our dog that wasn't essential. The in-house price was close to $300. I said that felt steep if it wasn't necessary. A minute later, they came back with a cheaper option--sending it to an external lab for half the cost. Apparently, it's just more expensive to do it in-house. So why wasn't that the first option? If it's cheaper and just as effective, that should be the default. Unfortunately, this means we'll need to find a new vet.

I brought my animals here for years because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of transitioning facilities.However, they made constant mistakes with their medical history, so I had to keep my own notes to ensure their records were accurate. My final straw with this facility was when I had my animal scheduled for an Felv vaccine, but they had her down for an HCP vaccine when she had just got hers done a few months prior. Had I not kept my own notes and corrected the staff, they would have given her the wrong vaccine. Less than a week after I finally decided to discharge my animals, my poor cat was brutally attacked by another cat, and I had to take her in to to the ER all night ,she had puncture wounds and lacerations all over her body At that point, I didn't have another facility lined up. You would think that an ethical veterinary facility would prioritize the health and safety of animals and show some empathy, especially after my cat had been a patient there for several years. I needed to bring her in for a follow-up a few days after her ER visit, but Dr torrez would not see her. The manager Amanda made it pretty clear on the phone, She said, "I have to see if they are willing to see her after I decided to part ways." Her tone was harsh and and they did not have any regard for my poor cats health. In my head I'm thinking these people wont even check on my cat, in obviously an emergency situatuion that's Nobody anticipated??? I found their lack of concern for my cats well-being to be disturbing, disheartening, and disgusting. They clearly do not care about animals here or priotize there health and safety. Additionally, a close friend had to put her cat down at this facility, and Dr Reinap showed ZERO empathy over the situation. Don't waste your time here; it's the worst experience I've had with a vet.

The dog couldn't walk and was convulsing and we raced him to the clinic I called their emergency line. Dr Reinap and his assistant were waiting for us and sprung into action. His fever was very high, around 107. Dr Reinap had him in cold water to take down his fever. He called the nearby West Austin Vet hospital and raced him over there. The combination of Dr Reinap quick actions and the West Austin vet hospital saved our dog! Thank you Dr Reinap!

The care and attention…read morethey lavished on my most fragile furbaby, Bojangles, allowed him to remain comfortable and happy for long after anyone imagined it would be possible, and the extra months they gave him allowed us the time we needed to make sure he had plenty of love and treats. Bojangles came to us with numerous health problems, but the most challenging issue occured when he suddenly lost the use of one of his rear legs several months ago. In an affordable "Hail, Mary" choice, the doctors offered to try a series of cold laser treatments to see if this might improve his mobility - within 9 days, he began using his leg again and was soon able to walk without discomfort! The doctors' willingness to try an "outside-the-box" solution made all the difference in the world for our little guy! We always knew that the multiple health issues Bojangle's had would take him from us early, but the care he received at DSAH bought us some valuable extra time. When Bojangles finally decided that his time here with us had to be over, Dr. Shuman and his staff were there for us and made the transition as peaceful as possible. I am so grateful for the care we received and I know that all of my furbabies will be in good hands with the marvelous staff at Dripping Springs Animal Hospital.

Dr. Kelly Might performed TPLO surgery on my dog, and the results have been truly excellent…read more Unfortunately, my dog needed surgery on both legs, done one at a time, but each procedure went very smoothly and successfully. Right before her second surgery, I needed an emergency appointment because she ended up having a total TPLO tear just three days before the scheduled procedure. The team was incredibly responsive and got her in quickly, which made a very stressful situation feel under control and reassured me that she was in the best hands. Recovery is definitely not easy--it's a long and sometimes challenging process--but Dr. Might and his team made it so much more manageable. They provided clear step-by-step instructions and scheduled regular recheck appointments, which gave me confidence and peace of mind throughout the healing journey. I was also very pleased with the communication from his office--they kept me informed, answered all my questions, and were always supportive. My dog's leg is doing great, she is recovering now from the second surgery, and I'm so grateful for the care she received.
