After four years of amazing care, we are switching vets--only because we have moved across Austin and it no longer is feasible to take our dog here. That being said, I cannot recommend this place enough. They have given our girl the most amazing care and always do their best to work with you, giving multiple options and comprehensive treatment while loving on your fur baby like it's their own. The doctors, techs, front desk - all staff here is kind, intelligent, and professional. My fur baby Gigi had to go here to urgent care and we lost her to feline leukemia (but 7 years later! She hung on healthy for a long time). The dr and techs walked us through all our options, let me be a helicopter mom, answered my many questions, etc. When I called in panicked they took care of my fur baby asap - I had called 5 other places first and this location they treated me kindly and got us in quickly. Don't hesitate to take your baby here. I miss my girl SO much and it was hard to write this review. I'm still hurting. The vet dr even came out to chat with me while I sat like a sad lump outside. Literally the worst vet I've been to in years and definitely a scam/money grab. I spent thousands of dollars on xrays, ultrasounds, urinalysis tests and so on for them to say nothings wrong with my dog. Disgusted and fed up with them I went to Manchaca Village Vet and within 48 hours of a single biopsy text (only a cpl hundred dollars) is was told dog had large cell lymphoma and was gone within a cpl weeks. Beevet purposely gave me tests I didn't need so they could rack up thousands in vet bills and wasted valuable time i had with my dog. If you value your pets health and safety please do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here! read more

I was looking for a one stop shop type of vet for my little tiny buddy and at first I was kinda hesitant because it's a 30 min drive from where I live but once you come in, they're super nice people. Very knowledgeable and treat your pet very personally, I've gone to a couple of vets and this one is the best I've been to!! Super friendly!! I travel full-time, and found my cat on the road. So when I thought there might be something wrong with her teeth, but was just passing through an area, BEEVet was able to get me in quickly to get her looked at. I ended up also scheduling all of her vaccines and microchipping there. A spay is a little more expensive than I've found in other places, but I'm okay paying more for quality care. Everyone at BEEVet was very kind and explained clearly to me what my cat needed. Dr. Zimmer even found out that what I thought was my 9 month old kitten is actually about 2.5 years old! Something the last vet failed to tell me. She also needed 6 teeth removed. Dr. Zimmer and the staff took their time to update me during the process, from letting me know when she was anesthetized to when she was ready to be picked up. They took the time to explain to me how the recovery would go, what I should expect moving forward, etc. I even got a Certificate of Bravery for the cat :) BEEVet offers a free consultation to new clients, so check them out! Dr. Boerner and the team here were incredible! They took great care of my puppy, were very patient and kind. Dr. Boerner ensured she got all necessary information to help come up with a great treatment plan, and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and understood all our options. It really felt like a team/collaboration, and it was a great support in a time of uncertainty. Having a sick pet is awful, and when you don't know what to do you need to trust the experts. I called them to look into to an ultrasound for my dog. I searched for vet cardiologist in Austin and found them. Their website has an entire section on cardiology, and lists ultrasounds as something they can do. But when I called them, they informed me that isn't something they actually do, and referred me to another vet. When I asked why they would list an entire section for cardiology on their site, and specifically include that they have the "testing capability" for ultrasounds, I was told what they meant by that was that they have the capability to refer out for an ultrasound. So can every other vet. (Screenshot of their site included.) Not to mention, the cardiologist they referred me to said they don't do non-emergency cardiology, so all around completely unhelpful. So the cardiologist they referred me to then referred me to another cardiologist. Edit in response to BEEVET: So you offer ultrasounds, and cardiology services, but not ultrasounds for cardiology services because you lack a cardiologist? If you cannot actually perform the service, then why list ultrasounds under your cardiology page on your site? And I do realize that ultrasounds can be used for a variety of reasons. But your site very clearly has it under cardiology. That's why I suggested over the phone that if you don't actually offer ultrasounds for cardiology services, you should remove that from your site, as it is very misleading. And your response was to scoff at me. As to your reply about your referral, I did not mention anything about scheduling issues with them. They told me that they do NOT offer ultrasounds outside of emergency situations. It was not that I could not get an appointment, nor that they were booked up. (And even if that was the case, how would I blame you if a different company couldn't schedule me?) They just don't offer ultrasounds except for emergencies. And if you're right about having referred me to the ONLY cardiology group in Austin, then how did they refer me to a different cardiology group in Austin? My intention with my review was not to get into an argument with you. It was to help other people in similar circumstances to not waste their time. It's already a scary and stressful situation to find out that your pet has heart failure, without having to endure a vet clinic that shows you such scorn. read more

I called to make an appointment for the teeth cleaning and was told that their is a charge of $75 to see my dog before they can honor the advertised special. All of our pets have been going to BeeVet for several years. Our sweet Bear passed away a couple of weeks ago and we took his body to be cremated through BeeVet. They handled Bear and our emotions very delicately. While we were waiting for his ashes to return to us, we received the most amazing and heart felt card that was signed by what seems to be every employee at BeeVet including the kind techs I knew through our other visits, the techs who handled our sweet Bear and even Dr. Chow. Update in response to BeeVet's response: "Your wife wanted to price shop." That is an absolute fabrication! At no point did she mention anything of the kind. I really hope that it was your staff that made up this lie and that you, as a business owner, are not presenting that here. You didn't have the Rejensa and we didn't want to run around all of the Austin area picking up different meds. Our old vet had all of these meds and you couldn't provide that, forcing us to call Lake Travis Animal Hospital as well as Burnet Rd. Animal Hospital, our old vet, who both had all of our meds. You say that you were waiting on us to call you so you could fill them in house, yet you admit that you didn't have them all so that's not accurate. I see that you are reiterating your 24 hour policy regarding medications but are you not going to address the fact that your staff didn't mention that to us at any point until we arrived? Guess not. We weren't in a "holding pattern" as you state. We were waiting on you to tell us if you had found anyone to fill the Rejensa. No comm from you so had to follow up. Why would I show up and be irritated that the prescription wasn't ready if it was known that you were waiting on us? I wouldn't have driven across town to waste my time and thus be upset that I had to pay a rush fee. You/your staff are being dishonest here. The only communication from your staff before I showed up regarding the prescription was "we'll get that ready for you" so of course after 2 hours it was reasonable that one person could take the literal 3 minutes it took, to put 42 tablets in a bottle. "You spoke with 2 members of our management team who had difficulty calming you down, and you left several staff visibly shaken after you left." I interacted with 2 members of your staff and 1 male employee walked in for a few minutes but several members of your staff were visibly shaken? 2 means several? You are grossly exaggerating and bold-faced lying about this situation and should be ashamed. I was irritated but completely respectful, which I can't say about your manager who barged in and was rude and interrupted me/wouldn't let me speak. Are you going to address that at all? Guess not. Yelpers, this business is not honest and I'd steer clear. Look through the reviews and you can see this is what they do. They are clearly more interested in refuting any less than stellar reviews to artificially inflate their rating, instead of owning any mistakes and trying to work with customers when there is a poor experience. I understand defending yourself against bad yelpers who are unfair with their reviews but this business is flat out lying about this situation. I would've been open to giving them a better rating if they showed any shred of accountability or willingness to address the situation. Instead, they get on Yelp and lie! Unbelievable. We are new to Austin and I found one of the best Vets around. They are compassionate, professional and very clean. I was taking my pups to a vet in Lakeway but always felt like I was a bother to them even to the point I felt uncomfortable even going to that vet anymore. Under unforeseen circumstances I had to contact BEEVET due to the passing of my pup during Snovid21, my Vet in Lakeway would not respond to the messages I left and when they did it was 5 days later, there was no "so sorry for your loss or how can we help" all the girl said was "when do you want to bring your dog in" even after I told her in tears he passed, I even left several messages he passed (my money mattered but not my dog). From the moment I handed over my pup that passed to BEEVET they have treated me with respect and treated my dogs and I like we are a priority. I just had an small emergency with my new rescue and even though BEEVET was slammed with several emergencies they got my pup in and fixed within 2 hours. The Vet called me and explained everything and asked if I had any questions. I am passed grateful to the staff at BEEVET. They will be our Vet as long as we live in Austin and will come highly recommended to anyone looking for a Vet. read more

My terrier was bitten by a small tick and when I tried to remove it, the head didn't detach. A few days later it started getting red and I was lucky enough to find the BEEVET clinic that is open all day on Saturdays. They were able to get me in quickly and the vet was able to dig the tick's head out, she also sent some antibiotics home to prophalactically cover my dog in case the tick was carrying Lyme disease. I really appreciated the fact that I wasn't charged a new patient exam fee. I felt their charges were very reasonable, given the area they are in and would highly recommend this vet clinic. read more

The doctors and team here saved my baby boy's eye! After my dog was attacked on a walk and sustained trauma to his eye, I brought him here for emergency care. Even though they had their hands full with multiple other emergencies at the time, they were able to work my dog into their schedule in a very timely manner. The doctor and everyone on the staff were extremely nice, and the communication and level of care was excellent, with multiple follow-ups to check on my dog's condition after treatment. We were very concerned he may lose his eye, but thanks to the doctors and team here, we are now hopeful he can make a full recovery!
