They don't care. Gave my dogs a 1 yr rabies when very specifically told them 3 yrs when I got notification that they were due 1 year later I called to tell them that was wrong. They had no explanation but wouldn't help me at all. I can't afford to start over communication very poor The vet was afraid of my big dog. I muzzled her he was still afraid. Great experience here. My dog is 10 and very anxious. All the staff were incredibly gentle and patient with him, getting down on his level and letting him smell and get used to them first. They're pricing is amazing. I live in austin and usually can't walk out of the vet with a bill less than $250. His checkup, 2 vaccines and anxiety meds were all $115 total. Saw this place the other day on my way to dripping springs farmers market. My dog developed a large hot spot quickly and unexpectedly. I looked them up and called in, they were so kind and caring I instantly knew we were going to be in good hands. I am sitting in the room as I write this with my dog who had to be sedated so his large hot spot could be treated. It has been an awesome experience from start to finish. If there was an option to give this place 10 stars, I would! When we first moved here a couple of years ago, we had to take the first vet we could get since we weren't sure which was the closest. We did find a place in Belterra that was good, but very expensive and we really wanted a place that wasn't so commercial and closer to home. Well, Loving Paws opened up and hallelujah we found our place! It's almost like trying to find a spouse, DR or mechanic, once you find one, don't let them go! So the first visit was great, social distancing and masks were abound, and you could go in with you pet!! This is what sold me, because I really wanted to be able to talk to the vet and tell him our concerns at the time for our little guy. Dr. Schroeder is 100%! Spot on! When you got into your exam room you are spaced correctly to observe the social distancing and then they talk to you and exam your pet. They always have a chalk board that welcomes your pet with their name- so cute! What a ice touch! I highly recommend and you will be not be disappointed. There was someone else in our neighborhood who had an emergency with their cat and Dr. Schroeder came back into the clinic after going home. Wouldn't go to anyone else! We recently moved to the area and we're referred to Loving Paws by a number of people in our neighborhood. We couldn't say enough great things about our visit! My French Bulldog has had a couple of bad experiences at our old vet and we were a bit nervous going in for a routine visit. We were immediately placed in a room which helped to make our dog, Maizy, more comfortable and at ease. The tech and vet team as a whole were so great with Maizy and we're so patient with all of our questions. It seemed like they loved and cared about Maizy as much as we do- which is so special! I was waiting for this place to open so I could have a vet near by. The Office Manager at the front desk was so sweet and explained their process and scheduled my first appointment for a week from now at my request. Unfortunately on my way home from picking up my Charlie from his day care, the day care called to inform me that my puppy had eaten another dogs pain killer and it was a large dose. I immediately called Loving Paws at 5:30 to see what I needed to do. Dr. Schroeder had already left for the day but came back to the clinic to take a look at Charlie. He ended up being fine. Dr Schroeder was very reassuring and took great care of him. I didn't expect my first appointment to be an emergency but I got to see what kind of place this was in an emergency and they did not disappoint! I've recently been looking for a new veterinary practice as my two senior dogs were due their annual checkup and vaccinations. A lot of people on NextDoor.com recommended this one. Before I had a chance to schedule my pets, one of them got very sick. I called them on a Friday morning, told them what was going on with her, and even though they were fully booked, they said to bring her and they'd work her in. During the time she was waiting, they also observed her. They called a few hours later, and sent her home with the medications she needed. They did what she needed, ran only the necessary tests to make a diagnosis, gave her a fluid infusion, and the cost was reasonable. This little dog is a rescue, and she's always had horrible separation anxiety. When I took her back the next week for her annual exam, I expected she'd freak out when we went inside. She's always always always done that at every vet's office for the the 15 years I've had her. Well, she surprised me. She walked in like she owned the place, with a big smile on her face, and was greeted by name by everyone there. The Doctor considered her age when recommending vaccines, food, and other care, and I really appreciate that. My other senior dog had equally excellent treatment. I went to Loving Paws in an urgent situation as my regular vet was too busy, and too uninterested in making sure I could find an alternative. In the end, I've found my new vet. Might have been the best decision I've made in a long time. The team there is very attentive both to the people and even more to their real client, the dog/cat. I've *never* had a vet/staff call me the next day to check on how my dog was doing or give me their personal cell number to call if things went wrong over the weekend. Excellent care. Very helpful.
