Meatball sub with mushrooms, peppers and onions.

Came here recently to pick up some sandwiches. Off the bat there was parking outside. But the inside is kind of strange looking, not sure if that has to do with COVID. The two workers here (they both may have been the owners) are super friendly and polite. I had a nice chat with them. Such nice people. I ordered a chicken parm sub and a meatball sub with vegetables on it. I was surprised it was really good. I've heard really good things about this place. Including their calzones. My boyfriend and his family say they are super bomb. I would totally recommend this place.

    Chicken curry

The Indian food is fabulous!!! We really loved the chicken curry. The flavor was amazing. They told us it'd be a 20-25 min wait, but it came out so fast. A true hidden gem in hannibal, we will be back next week to order the same thing!!!

Friendly owners, fresh pizza with lots cheese and flavor. The garlic cheese bread was fantastic too! Daughter had the stuffed shells. Definitely worth the trip!!! No complaints here- came hungry and left stuffed!

We got the Cajun tortellini,.which is my favorite and the Garlic Lovers pizza. We got a #4 by accident and it was yummy. The Garlic Lovers was so stinking good and cheesy. We found a bottle of Montepulciano on the wine list for a fantastic price. Can't go wrong with this Italian wine. We were pleased with the recommendation and would go back!. Definitely recommend the local haunt.

Accordingly the Merchants Payments Coalition the credit card surcharge/admin fee, has increased from 2.02% in 2010 to 2.35% in 2024. Now while I agree this seems a little high, it's not catastrophic, and I have trouble believing this 0.33% increase has directly led to this brave new world of bifurcated billing: one price for cash and second price that is somewhat more than 0.33% greater. Well it has at the The Brick Oven, as I was charged 3.75% (see photo). If your going charge me more to use my credit card, then you need inform me. And as the only thing I really demand from capitalism is transparent pricing, do owners really want to start off my dining experience with a review of how it ends? Well instead this place chose to avoid this checkered conversation by annotating the bottom of my bill accordingly. Dining here was supposed to a moment to relax with my wife and think some very Twainian thoughts, and not about conducting some financial analysis. But I guess that's the last memory the owner wants to impart. Our server (the guy who lives above the place), was excellent and I feel bad about taking the difference between 3.75% and my 2% credit card cash back out of his tip, but something must be done. Btw: Whenever I'm asked to choose between paying more or paying cash, I always have a distinct feeling it's less about saving a dollar in credit card fees and more about saving 20 dollars in taxes.

The atmosphere is really nice and cozy, which made it a great place for a birthday dinner. We ordered the Tour of Italy, Shrimp & Sausage Arrabbiata, Fried Calamari, and three cocktails: Hurricane, Blue Hawaiian, and Fruit Punch The calamari portion was HUGE -- honestly, it could easily be a full meal on its own. Everything was fresh, crispy, and delicious. I also have absolutely nothing negative to say about the Tour of Italy. Every single dish on the plate was fantastic! The Shrimp & Sausage Arrabbiata was the only thing my husband wasn't a huge fan of because it was a little too spicy for him. And the Blue Hawaiian was just perfect! Now we actually want to come back with friends and have it again. Service was just outstanding here! We also got a wonderful piece of cake as a birthday gift for my husband. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place for a nice dinner!

It also happened to be my birthday, so we decided to find an Italian place for dinner and ended up at Joe's Italian Restaurant & Pizza. We got there around 5 PM and I was honestly surprised how busy it already was. The place was packed. After dinner, I understood why. The girl who took care of our table was great from the beginning. She got us seated, took our drink order and was there whenever we needed her. I asked to see the cocktail menu a few different times because I couldn't decide what I wanted, and she never made it feel like I was bothering her. She also helped me with the drinks, which I appreciated. We started with the fried calamari. Very good and definitely something I'd order again. My wife got the Tour of Italy with lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. I ordered the Shrimp & Sausage Arrabiata. The portions were generous and we both really enjoyed our food. I also tried two cocktails, the Blue Hawaiian and the Hurricane, and we had a fruit punch. The cocktails were actually really good. I especially liked the Blue Hawaiian. Our total was around $85 for everything, which I thought was completely fair for what we ordered. I really don't have much to complain about here. The restaurant was busy but the service never felt slow or forgotten. The dining room looked nice, the atmosphere was comfortable, the food was good and the staff treated us well. Five stars from me. If I'm back in this town again, Joe's is a place I would happily come back to.
