Everything has been delicious, fresh, and hot! The only complaint I'd make is that although it says panini for sandwiches they aren't the traditional paninis that are pressed & grilled but instead are just sandwiches so that was disappointing to find out after the fact. The staff are so friendly and attentive we hadn't been for almost 2 months and our waitress still remembered us & what I usually order. I love getting the al formaggio but instead of ravioli I get fettuccine, I love being able to have a portion of all 3 yummy sauces they have. Overall a great restaurant! I love that it's family owned, fresh ingredients, and a lot of stuff made from scratch (complimentary bread is yummy). My only true complaint would be that they don't sell that creamy Italian dressing by the bottle, would totally buy it all the time it's so yummy! We made reservations for six to follow our grandson's graduation on a Sunday at The Family Arena in St. Charles. Even though we were 25 minutes early, our table was ready and we were immediately seated. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and also minutes after we were seated by our server. I visited on a busy Saturday night where most people were waiting for a table, but we had a reservation for our group and we were able to be seated immediately. The ambience was contemporary and comfortable. Even though the restaurant was full, the noise level was tolerable. I was greeted warmly by the hostess station, and within two minutes of sitting, our server, Kimberly, was already there asking if I needed a drink. She was very attentive throughout my entire visit including filling drinks constantly, asking if we needed anything and bringing a dessert menu at the conclusion of our meal. 4.5 stars on service. I haven't been to this location in many years. The food was a mixed bag for me. I was surprised that the only vegetarian pasta sauce was the Pomodoro because apparently all of the other ones have chicken broth in them. I'm not a big fan of the Pomodoro sauce as it's mostly large chunks of tomato and not very saucy. I would love for the restaurant to add a vegetarian marinara. Complimentary fresh bread with butter is brought to the table and you have the option of doing the olive oil and Parmesan mix. I appreciated that option. The bread was soft, fresh and above average in taste. I started with a side house salad with the house dressing. It's really good, but please know that it's made with iceberg lettuce and the house dressing includes anchovies, in case you're vegetarian. One of my dining companions ordered the fried zucchini sticks, and they were really good. My order was the eggplant Parmesan with a side of pasta with the Pomodoro sauce. I was a little confused why it was served with a wedge of lemon. The portions are large and I will definitely get another meal or two out of mine. The eggplant Parmesan was adequate. It was a little high in sodium for my palate but tolerable. The side pasta with Pomodoro sauce was better than average, but not outstanding. One of my dining companions ordered the margherita pizza and it was so salty that it wasn't edible and she sent it back. The dessert menu looked really good, but we didn't order anything off of it on this visit. They stay very busy on the weekends so maybe it was just an off night. read more

I went to this place because everyone here claims it's the best place for pizza. I ordered a cheese pizza extra crispy (thinking that they were just going to cook the crust and the dough longer) for pickup. These young kids just burned the cheese without cooking the dough. The young lady tried to give me grief about how "the cheese will bubble anyway if you cook it" if you seriously don't know how to cook a cheese pizza properly, I suggest that these young kids and the cooks just go online and learn how to cook a cheese pizza properly. The Italian meatballs and toasted raviolis are great appetizers to start. Fratelli's knows how to make an excellent marinara sauce which shines in both dishes. The Tuto Mare (seafood pasta) is my favorite main dish here. I love it so much that I've never ordered a different pasta dish! Pro tip - order this dish with pink sauce (marinara + white sauce). I have been able to try bites of what friends / family have ordered and it was all delicious as well. The lasagna is another great option. Each was good, but as a world, food reviewers are not the best I have had. It was just good. This was followed by a Pasta Fagioli, which was more like a minestrone. Jack, our waiter was very good and helpful We had multiple orders of Chicken Parmigian, and the portions, in my opinion, were a little on the smaller size but still tasty. The St. Louis pizza was a different type of pizza than I am used to the provell cheese. the tortellini was, in my opinion, the best of the items. One additional item was the chicken Spiedini.
