I met Don Julio here!!! Just kidding. I asked our server his name at the same time he was talking about tequila. I caught my breath and put my hand over my chest "Your name is Don Julio?" We all fell out laughing. Keep in mind this is an Italian restaurant/steakhouse. The bread they serve is to die for. We ordered the beef carpaccio (thin slices of beef topped with olives, capers, and Parmesan cheese) and Palermo salad to start with. Very good. My boyfriend got the T bone and I ordered Chicken Marsala. I thought the steak was superb. My Chicken Marsala was phenomenal. It came with roasted veggies and mashed potatoes. I don't normally eat all of my meal (portion control and I like to have leftovers), but I cleaned my plate. The service was great. We sat out on the patio and watched the sun set. read more

We had heard great things about Palermo's so we stopped in for dinner our first night in town. What a wonderful experience as well as ambience. The restaurant wasn't crowded so we basically had personal service, and they were on top of everything. We started off with a house mixed greens salad with a balsamic vinaigrette and for dinner we had the 2 Way Shrimp entree (4 with thai sweet chili and 4 a white wine sauce) and N.Y. Steak (with baked potato and grilled vegetables). To go along with that, s Pina Colada and Rum/Coke. To top off the evening, cheesecake and proposal. Overall, a fantastic evening of food, drink, friends and service. Highly recommend you visit when in La Paz. read more

Good Place for atmosphere, insane wine cellar with brick ceiling if you would like a private party in the basement. Great views of the ocean, friendly staff and good food. We had mostly seafood including the bluefin carpaccio. We tried the dinner for four with meat and fish -excellent. Decent selection of wines but mostly local and European. Live piano entertainment with dinner. The chef is from Florence Italy and his love of food comes out in the plates served to our group. A step above typical beach fare available at the waterfront. Looking forward to another meal there next time we are in La Paz. Try it you'll like it!!! read more

We tried a few places in the area but this one we had to go back to during our trip. 12 dishes to include appetizers for 4 people...excellent. steaks, cabrillo, chicken parm, carpacccio, caprese, cesar, soups, and a few tailor made (kids) pastas were exquisite. Everything was timed well and house wines were chilled well. Alberto had an attention to detail that was on point. The price was slightly over the local market but very much in line with US prices at a discount, but the quality was far superior than in the US. read more

Very nice meal here last evening but not meriting 5 stars. While the atmosphere is lovely, and they have an incredible wine selectionand impressive wine room, for the price, I would have expected a little more attention to details with the meal. My baked potato was way overcooked and the salad dressing tasted like just olive oil and basalmic vinegar (the same thing they bring to the table with their yummy bread). I dont mind a little fat around my prime NY strip, but this one had considerably more than I like. The restaurant recently reopened after being remodeled and its absolutely beautiful inside. I would rate the atmosphere and the service 5 stars (Raphael was our waiter and he did a superb job waiting on us), I only give it 4 because of the potato and extra fatty steak). In my opinion, Nim Restaurant is still the best steak in La to (when available) but it does lack atmosphere inside - outside is fantastic)! read more

If I could give this place a negative stars I would be. If I wasn't in Mexico I would sue them. first of all, my steak arrived with glass broken glass in it appearing as salt but it didn't dissolve and chipped my teeth. As if I need to continue, my $25 steak was literally 90 disgusting fat, and what little meat there was was raw. I had ordered medium well. I spit out the half bite I had taken and set a pile of the glass Salt aside. When the waiter reappeared, it was all I could do. It to throw the entire table in his face as I told him what I just told you and informed him I wasn't paying for any bit of it and i left. Not sure if I specifically pissed someone off there (that's always possible) or just because the chef was having a bad day and took it out on the first gringo that came in. But these things don't happen by accident. Eat at your own risk. read more

Let's start with wow an 8 course dinner that would be hard to beat from the appetizer, salad, mushrooms, tuna, fish, lobster, steak all fantastic. With a group of 20 the service has been amazing too. If your in LaPaz strolling the Malacon you owe it to yourself to check it out. read more

We had a christmas evening dinner there. the hostess was great, but unfortunately it stopped there. it took a really long time to get any kind of service. We had to ask for water, the wine list, bread... the servers kept walking around empty handed, not really knowing what they were doing. As for the meal, it was very! bland for the price we paid. yeah service and food sucked. There are plenty of better options around. read more

This was most definitely one of my most enjoyable meals in a long time. The ambience was high class. The service was on par. The bread was delicious. The salad included more than what the menu stated. The house dressing was a great mix of ingredients. The pork loin was delicious on its own, but the sauce put it over the top. Potatoe and Vegetables were on point, and seasoned perfectly. And the best of all, the prices were in line with what you'd expect from a mid level restaurant, which this is definitely not. the chef changed recently and I was less than impressed with their holiday menu. the meat was a bit over cooked and the menu was just unispired. clearly more for the older crowd with a fairly cheesy lounge singer. Service was great though. read more
