Great place I have been meaning to check out for the longest time. I got ice cream, a double dipped cone of mango & passion fruit ice cream both delicious & all ice cream is made in house. Guava is pretty good too. They will let you sample all the flavors if you want. I tried queso flavor which I wouldn't buy but you should definitely SAMPLE IT! It tastes just like queso fresco. They have lots of fresh fruit that you can get with yogurt & toppings, and regular food too which I have not tried. You can get popsicles too, I bought about 10 and brought them home so far I have liked them but still trying them. Pineapple is a great flavor! Drove through here from out of town. Ordered a mangonada and holy cow that thing was worse than a slushie from 7-11. Watery AF! Nothing at all like the photos posted. Then I ordered an "esquite" and I asked the young man if it was white corn and he says no even better it's yellow corn. Preferences differ of course but an esquite is best with white Mexican corn. Got a popsicle from one of their paleta carts that my company had rented out for an event and all the popsicles were amazing! They had such unique flavors, such as the avocado and papaya. The milk in the popsicle really added to the creaminess of the ingredients. The cookies and cream tasted so good, a bit like horchata. Unfortunately I can't have regular ice cream, so this paleteria offers a good alternative. They have real fruit popsicles! My faves being the watermelon and pina, but I like the other flavors, too. When you're picking out your treats make sure to notice if it has the chile or not or you'll be in for an interesting surprise. I believe they're currently selling them 20 for $12. Met up with friends for a late work lunch. None of us had been here and the place looked interesting on Yelp. It was a cute shop with ice cream, smoothies, fruit juices and some food items like tortas, hamburgers, nachos and gorditas. They also have a variety of snacks like chips and candy. Ordered two Gorditas (Picadillo and Chicken Tinga), Elote cup, fries, and a fresh squeezed OJ for under $12 bucks including tax. Went a tad overboard but food was so cheap I couldn't help it. They gave a good amount of filling for the gorditas. The chicken tinga tasted better than the picadillo which was a bit bland. The elote was fine but needed hot sauce. The fries were just made and piping hot. They were solid but nothing amazing. The OJ was freshly squeezed as I saw them using the juicer. Overall, the food was ok. Place was clean, staff were friendly and food came out really fast. Reviews mentioned great ice cream and they did look appealing except I was too stuffed to try any. They're so close to my office that maybe I'll try them again and actually make room for dessert on that visit. read more

Best elote! The corn is fresh and sweet, with a nice roasted flavor. I hate Parmesan usually, but I can actually tolerate it in this elote. Add a little Valentino and cayenne powder and it's perfect! Related note: try the elote icecream here! Sounds strange but it's delicious! They will give you a large spoonful for sampling if you ask. On the other hand, I'm not too impressed with the house brand paletas. But to be fair, I've only tried one-- Fresas con crema (strawberries and cream). It didn't taste anything like strawberries, fresh or artificial. It wasn't terrible, but I just can't put my finger on it. Flavor was a little sweet and nutty, and I think there were coconut flakes in there. Didn't hate it but I didn't like it either. I actually bought a few other flavors but they're currently just chilling in my freezer (lolz). I'm a little gun shy to try them, since they are about 250 calories a pop, and I'm not sure about committing to such caloric waste if I didn't like them either. Whenever I am in the area, there are two things I always buy from here. A large horchata and a couple of churros. The horchata has just the right consistency and is a nice beverage to pair with any spicy food. The regular churros are delightful, but the churros con cajeta are the best. It's the perfect mixture of cinnamon and caramel gooey goodness. I am not a fan of the elote here as it is really watery and almost like mayonnaise soup. While visiting Dallas I was having a craving for some ice cream and fortunately, this excellent shop was nearby. The lady behind the counter who assisted me and my family was extremely friendly and allowed my kids to sample various flavors before they settled on what they wanted. (They both decided on chocolate and said it was the best ice cream they have ever had in their lives.) The prices were great (the small is two scoops in a cup for $2.95). The ice cream tastes fresh and homemade. I didn't even try the paletas yet. I will certainly make a return visit before the end of my trip. read more
