The owner of Palette Cakes, Kellie, is the most talented pastry artist I have ever seen. Her work with sugar flowers is absolutely STUNNING and her cakes and cookies are delicious! I had the pleasure of having her make my cake and cookie table for my wedding last month, and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. I would 100% RECOMMEND Palette Cakes and will definitely use her again for future needs! To start, Kellie's creations are breathtaking. At our wedding, everyone (both guests and staff) were just raving about how beautiful her cake was. She matched the cake to our theme and florals perfectly. Her sugar flowers are so beautiful, you literally cannot tell that the flowers are edible. It's crazy how perfect and realistic they are. She is also an incredibly talented painter, and she can create beautiful painted or piped displays on your cake or cookies if that's more your style. On top of that, her cakes and cookies are so good. We went with a chocolate cake with hazelnut frosting as well as a spiced pecan cake with whiskey buttercream and both were so moist and flavorful. They were probably the best cakes I have ever tasted. They had the perfect amount of cake to frosting and tasted so fresh. We also had the tripple chocolate fudge cookies with Oreo as well as chocolate covered shortbread. We ordered enough cake for 80 slices + over 100 cookies for a 50 person wedding. We had literally no leftovers because everything was just that good. Most people had 2 slices of cake and took home a baggie of cookies. Kellie is also very professional and easy to work with. She was really easy to schedule a tasting with and was really helpful during the entire process. She took what we were envisioning, provided some great suggestions and came back to us with a sketch capturing exactly what we were hoping for. She listens to her customers, but also providers her expert insight and opinions which will take her idea to the next level. On the day of your event, she delivers and sets-up all the desserts for you so that she can make sure everything looks perfect. Overall, I am so pleased with my experience with Palette Cakes. We had our wedding 04/29/23 but I had been following her on Instagram for at least a year before our wedding. Her style drew me in, from the beautiful sugar flowers to the flavors she offered (we ended up with 3 flavors- pistachio on vanilla, vanilla Dulce de leche on coconut & cappuccino hazelnut on chocolate). We had first discovered palettecakes through a wedding website. When my fiancé and I viewed her website, the owner had a cake design that we really liked. So naturally we went with this company because we thought that was her original design. We had the consultation and were very clear on what we wanted for the cake. We only sent her ONE cake design. After discussing the design, she suggested a few additions to the cake and then followed up with us with a sketch showing the additions. Little did we know that this sketch of a plain cake with only a couple of flowers on it would be her final design and there would be nothing more consulted to us. Kellie never gave us a final call to finalize the cake design. She provided no details or pictures on what would be the final look. It wasn't until 1pm (a day before our wedding) that we saw the cake when it was delivered. We were very taken aback by the design as it was NOTHING like we had discussed. She argued with us about the design and refused to admit that she had made a cake we didn't ask for. She did reluctantly take back the cake to correct her mistake. I had sent her a text message asking her to please take a photo of the cake before she delivers again. This was ignored. At 9pm that night, she delivered the cake with a new design that we had absolutely never once discussed. Before this second attempt was even worked on, we had made it very clear on what design we wanted. She knowingly ignored our discussion and made a new design once again, without our approval. We had no choice but to take the cake because my wedding was the next day!! The taste of the cake was also so inconsistent that the guests couldn't tell what they were eating. When we had a bite ourselves, it tasted so bland and dry. We contacted her to resolve this issue but instead she was highly unprofessional and lacked empathy for our situation. She would not admit her mistakes. We never asked for a full refund, only a partial for the inconvenience she caused us. We were then met with accusations that we are trying to con her. All we wanted was the cake that we asked for and agreed upon and for her to make things right. Avoid this company!!! Picture number 1 what I asked for, picture 2 is the first attempt deliver , and picture 3 is the final of her trying to fix my cake the night before our wedding (again nothing like picture number 1 as discuss ) UPDATE!! Instead of reaching out to resolve this matter privately since Monday 8/22, it took a Yelp review for Kellie to decide to respond to us. She purposely ignored our email correspondence but had time to reply on Yelp (within a few hours to boot). It's obvious that Kellie cares nothing about rectifying the matter but responded on Yelp just to show face and protect her future business. We stand by our review and suggest everyone look elsewhere for their wedding cake. Kellie refused to admit that she never made the cake that we discussed and left us out of the loop throughout the process. No final call, no back and forth communication, nothing. Just a random cake showing up at our house that was nothing that we wanted. Once she remade the cake it was again, nothing what we wanted and a random show up at 9PM at night to hand it over. We were completely ripped off here and paid for a cake that we never wanted and were forced to use due to time issues and the wedding being the next day. AVOID HER!!! read more

After finding this bakery via their instagram, I was instantly taken with their beautifully decorated cakes. I was so happy to see they were opening a store and was dying to try their baked goods! It did not disappoint! The space is clean and bright, the service was amazing, and the baked goods were delicious! Kellie and Carlos were so kind to us and helped explain what they had to offer as well as be patient with us as we decided what we wanted. We ended up buying a Crazy Cornflake Cookie, Vanilla on Funfetti cupcake, Chocolate Hazelnut Tart, and Vanilla Cream Puff. When going through the cake tasting process, we found it was surprisingly rare to find a baker whose cakes tasted as good as they looked, and then we found Palette Cakes.
