Palio's use to be my favorite place to get pizza but they changed their recipe and now it's just bland pizza. I wish they would go back to their original recipe and just charge a little more than to be like all the other pizza places. So disappointed! read more

We had a buddy recently tell us that they had good gyro sandwiches here. Then we discovered it was a pizza joint. But... we were really craving one so we decided to try it out. Turns out that gyro sandwich wasn't that bad! It totally fulfilled our craving. The pita bread was warm and soft, and the lamb was good. But I think what made the sandwich was the tzatziki sauce that came with it. Good to know that this place has a decent gyro sandwich, especially since it's right around the corner from our place. Came in and blonde girl working at the register immediately seemed like she had an attitude, didn't think anything of it. she was pretty stone faced the whole encounter. there was only one guy sitting in the restaurant so pretty dead. got our food in about 5-10 mins and the same girl at the register that brought it to us was still stone faced the whole time. after giving us our food, she went and talked to the other guy in the restaurant, thought he was just a customer. nope. she sat by him still talking and he started talking real loudly about some drama between them about her unblocking some guy and they started talking loudly - arguing. and then she got a customer, he got a call. right after that customer walked out the door, he started playing music really loud and still is as we're sitting here. food is not really good and will never come back to this restaurant. Our family decided to stop in late yesterday evening (8:50pm Sunday) after a long day at a baseball tournament. Honestly we didn't realize what time it was, and they were just about to close, so we said we would carry out our pizza but only if there was enough time. But the staff was amazing and told us they would stay late so we could eat there. The pizza was amazing! The service was impeccable! And now this will be our go to pizza place! Went around 2pm on a weekend for a late lunch. Restaurant was empty. My husband and I did not enjoy the pizza at all. The cheese and sauce did not have a lot of flavor. If you're into pizza....you know those are the two most important parts aside from the crust. The crust was just ok. We are gonna stick to Grimaldi's in Allen. Let me start off by saying the only reason they aren't getting a 1 is because their pizza is amazing. Their customer service is horrible. I ordered pizza this Thursday picked it up and came home. I was give the wrong order instead of a meat and cheese deluxe with Alfredo sauce I was given a plain Alfredo sauce cheese pizza. This isn't the first time it has happened. I called at 9:04 and was told they couldn't give me my money back they couldn't remake my pizza everything was shut down. I asked to speak to a manager and they said one would call me the next day. Sara stated there was no manager but she would leave a note. Today is Sunday and I haven't heard anything. No one has contacted or called us apologized or anything. read more

We get no apology or offer of a discount. There are plenty of pizza places in the area that are better that we'll be checking out. I am very disappointed in Palio's after my delivery order this evening. My pizza and my cheesecake both had long hairs in them. I mean deep in the food, not like one had fallen on top of the food. They had been my favorite pizza place, but I will not order from them or go to their restaurant again. Yes, unfortunately this may happen at a restaurant, but in two separate food items is nuts. The worst part was when my husband called them the manager was argumentative and said no one in their kitchen had hair like we described. It didn't match ours either. I love Palios. I recently moved from the Plano area and thought I would try this location since it is the closest to my house. After placing my order, I noticed that the guys making the pizza would periodically wipe their noses with their hands and continue to make the pizza. I decided to get a refund. The lady up front, Jennifer snatched the receipt from me stating that her restaurant was clean. Overall, I would never visit this nasty location again and I am happy this is not my first experience. Tonight I've decided to buy a Groupon voucher to try this restaurant for the first time. Mistakes happened and I must have accidentally ordered from a wrong location. I asked the manager if they can possibly provide some sort of accommodation, no harm if they cannot. Instead he shunned away from the idea telling me my just purchased voucher was expired so. I looked again, I then informed him the expiration date was well more than 6 months from now. Obviously, he was trying to make an excuse instead of giving me the benefit of the doubt. His aggressive demeanor makes me want nothing more to do with this business. There's plenty of wonderful pizza parlors in the area to visit than to deal with these jerks. read more

Service was rude. I placed and paid for my order online, and all I had to do was pick it up. When I arrived, I was called over to one of two open registers, and was asked, "How may I help you?". Before I could get the words out that I was picking up an order, the cashier answered the phone, and proceeded to take what seemed to be a very large, complicated to-go order. She did not say, "Excuse me". She did not even put her finger up to signify that it would be a second. Just right in the middle of my sentence, she answered the phone and I stood there, while several other people came and went through the line next to mine. The one star is for the red sauce and the garlic cheese bread (even though it was like frozen bread). The crust is thin, tough and chewy like it's been frozen. The cheese sticks breading is thicker than any I've seen, and it's like stale breadcrumbs still wet. Or possibly frozen. Batter is not cruchy. The cheese was hard just as if you bought the cheese sticks from grocery store cold only it never got soft when cooked. Maybe they were cooked in morning?? Don't know how they cook stuff but it's really bad. The cannoli tasted like they bought the exact same icing dip from Pizza Hut and stuck that in a very hard ice cream cone. I love sweets and I took one bite and through it in the trash. I paid $63 for three people to eat thinking it would be more like good Italian since they serve other foods than just pizza. Terrible, Terrible-my salad barely had any salad dressing on it. Then after a long wait for our food they came out to tell us they were out of pepperoni for ours kids pizza. To make matters worse, they brought out all of our meals at different times. My 3 kids and husband had finished their food and I still did not have my food. My husbands chicken parm barely had sauce on it and wasn't that great aside from the lack of sauce. After that plus the dry lettuce they served me, I just asked for my money back and we left.
