Loved the quiet atmosphere and the staff was friendly coming in. Laid back with selecting your own table and BYOB to make it feel more homey. I will say that tables were left dirty with previous party's dishes for the entire time we were there. If it wasn't busy or people weren't waiting for tables, then they stayed dirty. This didn't bother us as much because it was a quiet Saturday night - but if you're big on not seeing plates on other tables, then it may not leave you with a good impression from the start. Food came out quick, hot and delicious! We got the Ralphie and the Maria's BBQ and both were fantastic. This style pizza is more topping forward and less crust.

    Where's the chicken?

I love Palio's pizza, but I ordered a chicken club for a change and was sorely disappointed. There was barely any chicken on the sandwich. I expected more from Palio's

We ate here for the first time in years. The owner here is such a kind person! When I asked if they had hot tea, he said that they did not serve it but would make me some he had if I wanted it. So nice!! They also have great tasting gluten free and vegan/vegetarian options. Unique toppings are available, like this cashew, basil, jalapeño and Roma tomato pizza, which was delicious! The owner also informed me that this location will soon be adding non-dairy cheese as well as gluten free spaghetti to their menu! Great service from kind people.

So over cooked even a knife wouldn't cut it

Last time here! Not sure what happened to the great, friendly staff and wonderful pizza. Pizza is over cooked and the food server dropped the marinara sauce on the ground then tried to serve it to us. When I told her no, she got visibly mad. Way to many places to eat out there to come to Palio's on Stacy Road As we were leaving, they stopped our car in the parking lot to give us a free pizza replacement. We did not accept... it was that bad of an experience!

Rock hard artichoke stems in the Cade and Blake.

We haven't ordered from Palio's in quite awhile, but since the last time the quality has gone down quite a bit. The pizza is just alright (lacks some flavor), but on three different slices of the Cade & Blake I bit into something hard. Three. Different. Slices. I'm assuming it was a part of the artichoke stem, but I'm not in the business of wanting to bite into something hard when I'm eating pizza. Is it too much to ask that the person making the pizza would notice stems in the toppings? We probably won't be back to this location, which sucks because we live right across the street. If you're looking for good pizza, try Marco's or Crazy Tomato OR Italia Express inside the food court at the Stacy Outlet Mall (trust me).

The house Manhatten was delicious with subtle adjustments to the traditional recipe. The Arancina Tradizionale is a fried ball of tasty saffron rice, stuffed with Bolognese and peas. Its a great appetizer with lots of subtle flavors. As an entree I had the Cacio E Pepe, the famous pasta prepared in a wheel of pecorino cheese and covered in fresh ground black pepper. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the cheese was creamy and mild, and the pepper nicely balanced the richness with a mild spice. I ordered shrimp on the side and it was well seasoned and nicely charred. My wife had the geilled salmon and loved it. We didn't really have room for dessert, but since everything else was so good, we couldn't resist trying the Tiramisu and Strawberry panna cotta. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. Be prepared for European style service and you will leave satisfied.

The menu I think had a good variety of entrees to choose from, and we both ended really liking the dishes we ordered. I ordered the pasta bolognese, and it was great. The pasta was cooked right and the sauce not super over powering. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. My only complaint was that seating is a little cramped, and everyone including the restaurant staff had to maneuver around chairs, etc. but other than that we really enjoyed our visit.

The chicken fried steak with waffles was the standout of the meal. The steak was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Paired with the light, golden waffle, every bite struck the perfect balance of savory and sweet. The presentation was just as impressive as the taste, making the dish as beautiful as it was delicious. The restaurant itself has a warm, inviting farmhouse ambiance that feels both stylish and comfortable--perfect for a relaxed brunch or a special occasion. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely welcoming, attentive, and made us feel like valued guests from the moment we walked in. They earned a spot on my list of favorite brunch destinations. If you're anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and order the espresso martini and the chicken fried steak with waffles--you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu.

First off the Chicken Fried Chicken was delicious prepared very well good flavor and very crispy. The gravy had a lot of flavor as well no salt or pepper needed. I order three eggs over medium the yolk could have been a bit more runny. I didn't care for the has because it did not have any potatoes in it. Service was good but did not knock my socks off. The restaurant is decorated very nice and had a good vibe. I ordered a second piece of sourdough toast which tasted great hence the reason for a second piece. The real home made jam made the toast. When the bill came I was charged $4.50 for a single piece of toast. This was a ridiculous amount for a single piece of toast it was more than my iced tea. Really $2.00 for a piece of bread toasted seems like a reasonable price. I just finished breakfast at another breakfast spot up on University. I really can't compare apples to apples except for the addition pice of toast. $1.99 for two slices of toast. Over all meal was priced fair. I just don't think I will be back here due to the prices.

You have to seat yourself - there were enough vacant tables to pick from. Within a few minutes, our server was over and helped us narrow down on what we wanted to order. I went for a Crushed Velvet Mule in addition to Cali, Buffalo (both grilled versions) and Burg B Q. We told our server that between me and my wife, we will be sharing the chicken sandwich and hence requested that it be sliced into 2. Not only were the burgers sliced, it was served in separate plates with sides as well - that was a really nice touch. Cali was a bit bland, Buffalo and Burg B Q were both really nice. The drink was nice as well. There was live music but we were seated near a table that was pretty boisterous, could hardly hear anything. The outdoor seating overlooking greenery and events they do at the restaurant make the place quite different - we will definitely be back soon to try other options on the menu.

The menu continues to evolve, which is good. Although this last visit both my husband and I noticed the menu is becoming very similar to Cheesecake Factory. By that I mean, they are adding more pages, more loose menu pages with options and their menu items are going into realms that seem very off brand (raw ahi tuna plates, shwarma salad, bao buns, etc). Lazy Dog has always been associated with a diverse beer selection, a down home (almost) southern like food menu. A more elevated and sophisticated Cracker Barrell if you will. This detour from the 'norm' gave us both pause - could the food actually be good? While my hubby and kids stuck to their regular options (crispy deviled eggs, buffalo chicken bites, kids menu) I chose to try the Chili Crunch Ahi Tuna - sashimi grade seared rare tuna, furikake-seasoned rice, edamame, avocado, marinated cucumbers, pickled ginger, spicy garlic crunch, citrus soy dipping sauce and it was DELICIOUS!!! I enjoyed every bite of my meal and would absolutely order it again. I definitely think Lazy Dog is making a run for being competition to Cheesecake Factory when it comes to their menu. Their desserts however have a LOOOOONG way to go. The Campfire Cookies were awful!! Stale, cooked firm, every bite had so many white chips it was overwhelming, there was barely any chocolate, the drizzle soaked into the stale cookies and was tasteless. I have a hard time saying no to any cookie, but could easily say no to these every time. I will actually look forward to trying Lazy Dog again now that they have other healthier options to choose from.
