Nice venue to see a concert as it's easy to get to in Times Square. We recently caught GWAR here and it was a blast! They have been around the metal scene for a long time and still put on a crazy fun show. Just be aware if you're in the standing room pit area you will get soaked with all colors of fluid shooting out of character's orifices! There is a large standing room only area on the main floor, an elevated standing area behind that which we score a perfect spot along the railing to view the show, along with elevated seating behind that. Not the biggest venue but good sound and sightlines. Coat check available along with a bar selling overprices drinks. read more

Went to a concert at the Palladium for the first time this week and it was awesome! I wasn't excited about venturing into Times Square at all and yes, it was annoying navigating through crowds of tourists outside, but once we got into line it was fine. The 5 stars are honestly for the security team -- they made the line move quickly and efficiently to get inside the building. They were pleasant and gave direction as needed. For a line that wrapped around, it went FAST! Once inside, we were surprised to see that our mezzanine seats were at the same entrance to general admission. It's a small theater but plenty of room for GA ticket holders and a decent area for ticketed seaters. Even if you're seated, you'll have a good view of the stage. Plenty of bars are available and the bathrooms are clean. I have to say other than Times Square outside - I love this venue! read more

Palladium Times Square - Music Venues Near Me - New York, New York

It's been a long time since I've visited this venue for a show/concert. Last time I think was BTS...so ages ago! This time around I came here for the live action Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon show. Security was a breeze, just had to open my bag and go through the metal detectors. Escalators going down lead to the seating area. The bathroom had an attendant directing the flow of traffic and making sure everything was clean. They started letting us in about half an hour before showtime. My seat was in the mezzanine middle section row C and it was not a bad view for the price I paid. The seat was pretty comfortable and the AC was a bit chilly. The rows are sloped upwards so my view was not blocked by anyone. Faces were a bit hard to make out from how far back I was but instead I had a nice view of the whole stage. read more

Went here for a concert, the venue was pretty small, but very open and clean! The staff were very helpful in showing us our seats. The sound of the show was perfect, and the show itself was amazing! The seats were surprisingly comfy and entering the place was easy. Only thing Is beware for when you leave, since this place is right in time square, it will be very crowded at night. read more

Decent NYC venue - have been quite a few times throughout the years, even back when it was the Best Buy Theater and also as the Playstation Theater. Regardless of the name, this venue hosts solid artists. Capacity is about 2000 I'd say, and while it's been a while since I've been to a completely sold out show here, always feel like there's plenty of space. There is GA standing, but also towards the back, plenty of stadium seating that you can still see the stage from. Getting through security is typically pretty seamless. It's right in the middle of Times Square, so definitely expect to deal with that type of chaos on your way to the venue. Given the location, super easy to get to though. Drink prices are a bit pricey, as one would expect, but they have some good options including Voodoo Ranger IPA and White Claws (who doesn't love a good black cherry!). TLDR: Never mad to find out an artist I like is performing here. Definitely better than other options in the city. read more

My friend and I came to the Palladium to see Hannah Berner's stand up. I really like that they open the doors early. We got there about an hour before show time and went through security and were able to get our drinks and hang out in the theater before the show. Security was efficient and friendly, and the bartender was friendly as well, we were a bit loopy and he took it in stride and was fun to talk to. The bar had Hannah's signature cocktails, and the music playing was her own playlist. These were nice touches. I hate Times Square, but inside the Palladium you forget you're in Times Square. The show was great, and there seemed to be a lot of seating at different heights so it seems like everyone could get a good view. read more

Okay usually I only say something about a venue if I get a bad experience but Palladium's actually pretty good. The stage layout is pretty easy to work with. You have a general admission pit in the front and in the back you have elevated seating you can walk to. Seats don't always cost much more so you can buy a seat and walk up when you want to join the pit. Also a good idea if you're short since every seat has a decent viewing angle. Staff's generally pretty nice and easy to work with. You gotta check out the bathrooms, straight out of a video game level. Very scenic. When you get out there are a few water fountains, good working order too. read more

The place has extremely poor signage and the staff is more interested in telling people that they can't use their phones *even when the show is not happening.* Other venues have solved this problem by putting stickers on phone cameras when people arrive. The Palladium should think about this approach, instead of having a staff member harass me over showing my friend a photo of my cat. read more

Such an amazing venue! I've been here many times, but they reopened recently under a new name and management. I love the decor and ambiance. This is such a great space to see a concert in. I stood in the GA section in front of the stage. You can see the stage from any spot in GA or in the tiered seating. The venue is easy to get around and there is plenty of space. Even though there were thousands of people at the performance I was at it didn't feel too crowded. I'd highly recommend coming here for a show! read more

I was unsure what to expect with the seating/"mezzanine"/floor differences, but we had a great time. We saw several bands from the GA floor and the view was great from where ever you stood. The sound was better than I expected (aside from some vocal mics needing to be a little higher). But the space isn't too big which makes it feel intimate. The bathrooms are plentiful and clean and easy to access. There are lots of bars just steps away from the main music area- which makes it easy and quick to run and get a drink (at a decent price) and come back. My only con: They need to chill a little with those strobe lights- they hit right at eye level read more

This is a pretty decent venue, but not the best. I wish there was more room in the actual pit or the floor not just the seated area. I remember over time of the past 20 years or so, there have been s few name changes like originally I think Nokia Theater, then PlayStation theater then I guess another name and now this current name. Recently, did get the chance to see Killer Queen which was a Queen cover band that arrived in March 2023 for their first NY show. Irving Plaza seem like a much better venue for a concert. Staff was pretty friendly and I did not order any $16 wine beverages but still enjoyed the performances just the same. read more

It is clean, modern, and features plenty of restrooms inside. The floor seating is fine in the lower half but you'll be standing behind people in the upper half thus getting an obstructed view. The ceiling is too low making the room feel dense. A decent concert venue. read more

The service to get into the building last Friday night for the warning was unprofessional from a security perspective. The line was around the building. They needed 2 security check points not one. Many people were late to get in and missed the opening band. It's common sense. The line length and time to get in were unacceptable. Sound check was over around 4pm and doors should have opened at 630. I've been to a lot of concerts. Security was dismissive indeed back and suggestions. I've never waited this long in this long of a line before at a concert. Changes need to be made. Once inside the venue was nice. Thank god for mezzanine seating. I'll probably never go to a show here again. The warning band rocked and partied. I only wish they played about at least 15 mins longer as a headliner. read more

The Palladium in Times Square is a great medium-sized venue to catch your favorite live music. I recently checked out former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley at the theater and it was a blast. You enter at street level and immediately go down escalators to the lobby. The downstairs bar/lobby area is spacious, clean and the service was very good. Props to security for being visible but not overdoing their jobs as the crowd was pretty mellow. The showroom has a large stage with a general admission floor, and elevated 'movie theater style' seating behind the floor. It's a good place for a fun night out, you may even have been here before as the name/ownership has changed a few times. read more

My best friend and I came here to see Story of the Year's 20th Anniversary of Page Avenue. The entire day, from waiting outside in the frigid cold until even retrieving our items at coat check, the security and staff went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and could enjoy the show. Multiple times throughout the evening, all of the security guard asked how we were doing, while keeping up with the constant battle of crowdsurfers. They made sure no one was injured the entire night. PTS is a very intimate venue that has changed many hands over the years. The women's restroom has ample stalls and has been upgraded, so every time I went there was never even a line. The show that night was incredible and shoutouts to the PTS staff for making sure of it. read more

This was my first time at Times Square Pallidium. It was a Sunday starting at 6pm. Now, I have no comparison since I've never been to any music concert before. I went down the escalator which was the only option anyway where I found the bar, the bathrooms and the stage. It's not a large place to get lost at. From my seat in the back, I viewed the open standing-only floor in front of the stage and the accompaning crowd surfing. Taylor Swift will never perform here but it was fun for my lesser known band. Ticketmaster forces you to use an electronic ticket and I only have a tablet. Their wifi password did not work. Luckily, the ticket page was still up from the last time I was connected. read more

Long story short, I was on a site booking what I thought were tickets to Dita Von Teese tickets. I rerouted me to ticket master and I purchased my tickets. When I got the email, I realized it was for a Led Zeppelin cover band. I immediately reached out to the venue and politely asked them to refund the money and the guy straight out refused. Excellent location for family concerts. The place is comfortable and can accommodate thousands of people. The bar needs more attendants; the wait is too long for drinks. The place is clean. I love the VIP section. You pay for a guaranteed seat; you can go dance and explore, then come right back to your seat at your leisure. Very unique and prestigious setting. read more

We went to see One Night Of Queen... never have been to the palladium we didn't know what to expect... First the location. Perfect for us, right in the heart of Times Square. Our fav restaurant is in 43rd st. Tony's DiNapoli . Great Italian food at reasonable prices. And that's all to say about midtown... The Palladium was clean, and large. From my view there isn't a bad seat in the entire house... Then and was really great. Just about everyone was us dancing in the aisles. There was enough room between guests. Restrooms were clean and staff was friendly... Check the menu of shows, if you fine one you like, book your tickets early... best seats are available the earlier you buy... read more

I have been here twice for concerts and this is the worst venue I have been to so far. Rude and unprofessional staff for both concerts. They did not enforce their rules and made up new ones. They made racist remarks of the acts. They were not organised and pointed people to the wrong line, only to scream at them for going to the line they were told to go to. A/C was turned off during one of the concerts and multiple attendants fainted. Out of the staff I interacted with, I can only say one of them was friendly. I highly recommend Palladium to stop hosting concerts and only host other events instead, because they are incapable of hosting concerts. It is so bad, I want to give you a zero, but that's not possible, so I give you a one. read more

I asked about NYE and he got Incredibly defensive, probably knowing his venue was booked by a predator for NYE and doesn't wanna be accountable for it and just wants to make money. Trains not running, subways not running. My daughter bought a meet and greet ticket and concert ticket for today and has been sitting on a bus crying for 6 hours and is not even out of Westchester County. Horrible venue, the review by Marta H. was exactly my experience, confusing staff, getting in the venue was a nightmare and we got inside after the concert started because of how poor the organization was to let people in, the line reached around the block, rude staff. Sadly that wasn't the worst of it, we paid extra for seats and the sound barely reached us, it felt like we were watching a concert a mile away, we ended up walking down to the general admission because the audio was so bad. Once down in GA, the music was at least louder and actually audible but the echo was the worst I've ever heard, it was at least a 3-5 sec reverb which resulted in a terrible audio experience. :( The audience even shouted at the artist that there was an echo and she repeated "there's an echo?" so they knew but it didn't improve. Went here for 2 kpop concerts, and both times almost all of the staff were incredibly rude. They would tell us to "keep moving, even if there isn't any space in front of you" and then laugh at their bad joke. There is only 1 staff who was actually kind to us. I've been to a couple other concert venues in NYC and in other places, and can say Palladium is quite possibly the worst staffed (except for that one kind guy!). The venue itself was also really small and the AC was used extremely frugally. This would have been fine had the venue been less packed, but it was filled to the brim. A few people passed out in the pit due to the heat. They might be better in other types of events, but at least for concerts, this venue and majority of its staff are not capable to handle this. read more

Strobe lights shine directly into your eyes if you sit in the mezzanine. We were sitting toward the back and it was blinding. It's the next morning and my eyes still hurt. I'm not sure if that happens if you're on the floor. Other than that, very nice venue. But don't sit in the Mezzanine! read more

Terrible venue, bad security. They made us wait for over 30 minutes in the street, the line reached around the block. Unprofessional security staff. The concert had already started when we finally made it in. People were still arriving during the next 20 minutes: the staff had great difficulties to find the right seats for customers, people were standing on the stairs blocking exits thus compromising everybody´s safety. The sound in the venue is also terrible, people spend more time buying drinks at the improvised bars than actually enjoying the music. A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I will NEVER go back! read more
