Watch your credit card statements and be careful when canceling your membership!!! The day I signed up I already knew the EXACT date I wanted my membership to end in order to not pay for more time than necessary. I was told I needed to wait until AFTER the 25th of the month prior to the date I wanted to cancel in order to get a prorated amount. I went in after the 25th to cancel my membership on the 5th of the next month, as instructed. I was then told I would be charged for the ENTIRE next month, NOT what I was told when I signed up! I asked for a call from a manager, but never received one. I then went in and talked to the person who signed me up for the membership, the one who told me this information that I followed. He said a district manager would have to look into it and that he would email me. Never received an email or a call. BE CAREFUL! read more

This location is so hit and miss, between the machines not working or not having product. I've been a customer for years and I don't think a single month has went by without some kind of issue. It really gets old dealing with them and calling the corporate office is a total waste of time because they NEVER return phone calls. read more

This location screwed me out of a lot of money. I asked to have my account frozen in September of last year. I went in for my last tan, signed the necessary documents, and was told by the General Manager that everything was taken care of to freeze my account. However, yesterday when I went to re-activate my account, I was told that it is already active and has been since September! They have been charging me the full amount every month despite me not going at all. And, apparently Planet Tan does not offer refunds. DO NOT GO TO THE FLOWER MOUND LOCATION. Obviously even the GM does not know how to do her job. They are also incredibly pushy with their overpriced products. read more

Ben was a huge help with my experience at Planet Tan. He red me so many different bible verses because today is Easter!! Ben also sand me my favorite worship songs!! BEWARE!!! I was a new customer at the Flower Mound location, and after joining, I mentioned to an employee that my son had just turned 18 and was curious about tanning indoors as well, as he doesn't enjoy being out in the heat by a pool. She gave me a little card that gave a free trial week so he could try it out, which was great. When he went to the store to redeem the card, a different employee was there, he was very pushy, took the free trial card from my son, told him it could be used for "benefits" (whatever that means), then promptly signed him up for a membership, which he didn't realize until saw $82 debited from his bank account. He was charged another $25 a couple weeks later on the 25th. When we went in person to the store to get it resolved, we were told someone would call, then the next time we were told we could fill out a refund form but we'd have to come back later to do that, and then we were told the person who told us all that had been terminated, and then the actual store manager told us she would send the request to "corporate" but that it was out of her hands. Chalk it up to my son's inexperience with things like this- he had no idea what was happening- but the employee was talking fast and my son assumed they needed his debit card in case he decided to join (again, inexperience), so he was most definitely taken advantage of. He went a total of three times for 6 minutes each (the free trial card allowed up to 4 tans), and he is out over $100. We immediately canceled his membership when we realized what they had done, but I am also now canceling my membership because they have handled it so poorly and have not resolved the issue. Unethical business practices- hand out free trial cards and then don't honor them or bait and switch a customer. Will not return. read more

Always good service, but one time I had bad service. Not a big deal (nothing that would make me go elsewhere), but coincidentally, I was sent a survey by PT. I filled it out honestly, in hopes that the feedback would help their customer service. I was called by the district manager within 30 minutes of completion. She asked for more detail, validated my experience, apologized profusely, and added temporary benefits to my plan! She certainly went the extra mile to make me feel like a valuable customer! I wish I could shout-out her name here (maybe Ashley?) but I can't remember it. read more

Tanning beds are always clean and I have never had to wait for a bed. Most of the staff is very nice and helpful. Nothing bad to say!

The customer service here is great. Tonight I left my engagement ring in the room after I left. We called 4 hours later and they had my ring. Thank you to Tristan and Gary for getting me ring back. I will never go anywhere else for tanning. Ps... they have good clean beds too! read more

False / not-honored advertising, poor customer service, and lack of employee empowerment turned into a bad customer experience and lost customer. Too bad. Hope others have better luck! Saw the 15% off everything sign! So decided to get a package - 5 'cocktails' (level-5 tan + Versa Pro spray tan) regular $149, less 15% = $127. Deal! She tried to you-sell me to an annual membership, but given my travel that's tough. So a set # of tans type package are better for me even if I pay a bit more. Then, story changed - 'actually only if You get annual membership can I do 15% off'. What?? Why had she just quoted and sold me on something she won't now sell me? She called over the 'assistant manger' who said 'yeah, we can't do that. We can if you get an annual membership'. Umm... I pointed them to the sign on the window that said *15% off everything*. He said 'yeah, but I was told by a manager we can't do that'.... Ok then - don't quote it then? And take down the sign? Sad thing is nothing was offered to try to remedy or sell me what could work with my up coming travel. Big fail on service. read more

It's hit or miss. Casey is truly the most unprofessional employee they have. Just watched her roll her eyes at a customer, and there's a line of 6 people. So rude, not worth coming when she's here. Avoid coming here with her working. Sick of being up sold every time I come in. Just let me tan and leave me alone. There are a few other employees that are awesome- probably the only reason I still come here. It took a half hour to get into a bed that worked correctly. That meant having to get redressed to go back up multiple times. I don't appreciate the eye rolls from Casey or Kayla either- don't they realize customers pay their paycheck? read more

I would look for another tanning location. Every time I go to tan the beds don't start correctly and I have to call front desk. They try to up sale you every time and multiply times you come in and don't care about the clients in the rooms. Today, I went to tan and they said they were having bed issues so please give us a minute but I can try to up sale you while you wait. After a few minutes of trying to up sale me, bed 10 is ready for you. I go to room and get ready to tan and the bed will not work. I have to look up the phone number and call again. They answer I tell them I'm in room 10 and bed is not working, she states, sorry the bed is not working. I get dressed and leave on the way out I ask why she didn't even bother to knock on door to tell me the bed is down. She stated I don't know which beds are down, REALLY!!!! You only have 2 people in the beds tanning and 2 at the front desk that you are tying to up sale but screw the clients in the bed. I believe you don't care about your clients just the up sales. FIND ANOTHER TANNING LOCATION!!!! read more
