Awful customer service. The manager did not close my account correctly and would not refund my account after being charged. I had to fight teeth and nails to get any kind of information from corporate. Which the manager never called me back and denied my refund. My husband and I cancelled our membership on the same day and since they have no record of my cancellation showing stating there is no signature of it they want me to come back in an sign again to cancel and refuse to reimburse me for what they charged me even though it was their error. They will only offer store credit for 2 months when I never stepped foot in to tan since we cancelled. Lesson to everyone...make sure you get a receipt when you cancel. read more

I have been tanning with palm beach/planet tan for 7 years now (they are the same company) and during that time I also managed a planet tan salon. I know the tricks of the trade and the commission that is paid. I get the same spray tan every week sometimes even twice - I know the price of my entire tan and additives, it has never changed. But the second I visit this salon or another one, the price immediately jumps like I won't notice the difference? Very frustrating. If I'm paying for a diamond membership, regardless of which location I go to, I should always pay the same price with my discount... don't think just because someone is a new face you can hustle them to get your extra $2. Won't be returning to this salon... they also break down their spray booths an hour before close and make you wait in long lines because they don't want to mess with cleaning 2 booths at closing time. read more

Canceling my long time platinum overpriced membership with them because of the rude service of staff at this location. Never have the same employees & always tell you different things. When I said this in front of the girl who was nice & helping me, Natalie interrupted are you insulting me? I said no, if I was insulting you, you would know it. She continued on to where I had to point out you're in customer service, you cannot talk to customers this way! She said there was no management but she would be calling Kenzie the district manager. She literally slammed the door. Then poked her head out talking about me & I had the other girl tell her I, the customer, want to talk to this district manager. She came out moments later & smartly said the district manager is not interested in talking to me & I can feel free to try to call a manager at the store Monday. Never have I ever seen a more disrespectful & hateful member at palm beach & I will be cancelling with them. They're overpriced for what you get anyways & not really worth $110 a month for me to get treated this way the one time a month I bother to come in. read more

After living in Florida and Atlanta moved back home to Texas where I used to tan all the time and tanning regularly for over 20 years. After paying the highest I've ever paid for tanning sessions at this establishment near Hulen Mall didn't even break a sweat I didn't even need googles. Two bulbs were flickering. Truly a rip off should be called Palm Beach Scam. Usually you get hot at least enough to sweat instead I was cold. I truly feel ripped off and being from Texas especially Ft, Worth Texas used to be a place of pride having and being the biggest and best . I wish there was a choice of negative stars. Whatever you do look for another franchise. The city of Palm Beach should bring libel suit for slandering the name. Truly no Texas nor personal or professional pride by this business. May just be this location but I wouldn't bet on it. Considering having been closed for COVID has had enough down time to have changed and done maintenance to be ready for reopening. I don't believe these beds were maintained for at least 6 months if not longer at least the bed I used. There's no Texas pride here. I feel for the young lady working the counter. I'll look for another establishment unfortunately I bought a package. Better Business Bureau is my next stop. Should call this Palm Beach Scam truly at the bottom of my list as a franchise I'll get back as much of a refund as I can get and never return. Ignorant associates and predatory pratices. This is a DISGUSTING place lacking of mortality and decency...not just this location BUT ALL of them. They sold me a package for 3 spray tans yet only allowed me 2 because apparently the money i paid for three...expired, yet no one tells you that your purchase oddly enough has an expiration date. So i pay for 2 but then told the 3 had a past expiration but no one told me than when i paid my money!!! The tan is ugly cheap and orange looking also..im telling you...GO ANY WHERE ELSE. LITTERALLY SICK TO MY STOMACH AT THE VERY THOUGHT OF EVEN SEEING THE WORDS "PALM BEACH TAN". ..let alone the thought of EVER doing business with this wretched excuse of a tanning salon. I enjoy going here, all of the staff are very sweet. I love the beds, and the location is kept clean. I left my wedding ring and my college ring there. I had no idea, I was looking everywhere. I never leave or lose my jewelry, anywhere, so I just knew I didn't leave them. Finally, as a last ditch effort, I broke down and called just to cover all bases, a week later. My rings were there, and safe. I was out of state when I called, and they held them for me until I came home, 3 weeks later. I was so happy I cried, and it would have been extremely easy for any of those girls to take the left rings, but they were honest, and were all very happy for me when I came home, and retrieved my rings. The manager, Sam (a woman) is rude, unprofessional & a very unpleasant person to deal with. The staff here isn't very friendly. They barely even smile and greet customers. I don't feel appreciated and one time they actually forgot to set the bed, so I was stuck there ready to go and had to call the front office so I wouldn't have to get dressed and tell them to turn it on. I went in to this palm beach location tonight with my friend who was tanning and I was just waiting in the waiting room. As soon as we walked in the worker Sam at the front desk was not kind. We both got there and had to use the bathroom. She knocked on the door and asked us to get out because we couldn't be in there together, which I understand. I was going to finish and get out so my friend could use the restroom literally only 1 minute later before I could even get up she banged on the door and YELLED at us to get out. Which I did. She then walked passed me in the lobby and went in the office and slammed the door. Then as we were walking out of the salon she stuck her tongue out at us thinking we didn't see it. I am not happy with how our experience was. We were nothing but nice and the employee had the worst attitude. We WILL NOT be back to this location. read more

Beds are nice, facility is clean but the staff could be nicer.. I have been to many PBTs and this one has by far the worst customer service thus far. Hopefully this was just an off day for one of the employees and I happened to get the blunt end of her services. I have been going to Palm Beach Tan off and on for years. I just started going back and there is this new girl Samantha working and she is a nightmare! I inquired about the specials once I returned after the winter months along with questions about lotions etc and no matter what I ask her she alway has this attitude as though you are putting her out. I really wish she would find another place to work because I dread seeing her every time I go there! The rest of the staff are helpful and knowledgeable but yes this one girl can ruin it for everyone as it seems everytime I go she has to tell me that I can't tan the full time or I can't use the bed I want or whatever it is that day. I have tanned at multiple Palm Beach and other franchised locations before, and have no issues with the facility or beds. My negative experience stems from trying to cancel my membership. My fiance and I walked in to cancel our memberships after returning from our beach trip. The rep behind the counter asked if we would like to freeze our accounts, however we declined to freeze either account when we found out there was a fee. We knew we would not be back unless there was another beach trip on the horizon. Both membership accounts were auto-drafting out of my account, and when I signed, I was under the impression that I was canceling both accounts. I have since received monthly freeze fee deductions from my checking account from July-November. I have called the location three times to remedy this. The first person I spoke with said she would leave a note and her manager would handle it when she came in. The second said it was a mistake and they would cancel the account over the phone and credit the fee. The third, Karen, claimed to be an assistant manager and claimed her hands are tied and that I need to take more time out of my work week to contact corporate (closed weekends) to discuss the matter because she shows I have a signed freeze for my account. Odd that my fiance's was canceled but mine was not, yet we were there together in person signing the exact same paperwork, and there's suddenly a signature on file to freeze only my account after my third conversation with someone in the office. Why is it so hard to cancel? Is $41.25 (freeze fee of $8.25 x 5 months) worth leaving a foul taste in the mouth of a customer and risking negative word of mouth? I guess so. read more

I normally tan with PBT in San Antonio, but I'm in town visiting family and thought I would try to tan to maintain my color. Immediately walking through the door when they found out I was from a different "market" I was treated like dirt. Customer service was god awful: she was rude, curt, wouldn't answer my questions and on top of that I needed to buy a lotion and I wasn't even given the chance. Then I asked to be put in a level four and she put me in a level 2 room and couldn't understand why I was a little annoyed. Then I asked if I could go to the bathroom before she started my "get ready time" and she said there was no way she could do what I was asking cause they are a "corporate" store. Which I don't know how that affects the time I have to get ready and put lotion on. Anyways I canceled my tan and will be going to a different location to tan. LOVE PBT, but I would avoid this location at all costs. read more
