Nice staff, but the memberships cost close to $100 if you want to use the high end beds. Unfortunately, both of the diamond beds are not usable for the last several months. One "needs an electrician" and the other has 7 -yes seven- bulbs out, meaning minimal tan. They are aware and not fixing it, for MONTHS. read more

Would NOT recommend the membership. They don't allow you to cancel over the phone which that alone just feels like a scam to get more of your money but on top of that, even though I went in person before my next payment date, I was charged anyways with no solution of a refund because their policy says you have to cancel a week in advance which is also ridiculous. I don't know any other membership or service like that and I also was not informed of that when I was there in person to cancel. Overall because of my experience with the membership I will not be returning even for one time tans. read more

I have been going to this Palm Beach Tan for a few years now and I am usually greeted by a capable, yet aloof teenager - which is fine:) However, today's experience was significantly better with the new manager, Tiffany. She was sincerely warm and welcoming, made some helpful suggestions, and was truly a ray of sunshine. It was obviously she genuinely cares about people and the business. In fact, as customers walked in she knew each by name and the service they used. I told her I would come back just for some TLC even if I didn't need a tan. She is a gem and this location is LUCKY to have her as a manager! read more

I would give Palm Beach Tan zero stars, I only gave it one star because I could not post without at least giving it that. I went in on a Saturday evening to receive a tan for a wedding Sunday at 3:30. I requested a Versa tan with bronzer (the employee gave me clear instead). I suspect she failed to program the machine appropriately because I received NO TAN, when I called on Sunday morning I was told I could not get a refund I could only get a store credit or another spray tan. Absolutely devastated I have to change my outfit for the wedding and at this ridiculous Customer Service policy. read more

A very nice place, incredibly upscale. Many, many locations in the suburbs from Leesburg to Frederick to Rockville and Shady Grove. They have wonderful products to enhance your tan and make your skin glow. They have beds that extend your tan in 8 minutes. They have nice amenities they give out free hair ties and allow you to use their eye wear for the bed which are cleaned. Staff is friendly and accessible. Decent priced. I will have to say this is the only Palm Beach Tan location I have ever left unhappy. Insulted and offended, I might add. I will say I walked in 6 minutes before closing, but I only did a spray tan. I have heald for many many years, the most expensive membership they offer. I rarely use it. When I do, I don't expect to have the eyes rolling from 2 employees while they look at their watches and stare back at me and ask what I want. Seriously?! I pay a lot of money here. When I left, the last employee walked past me staring at me without a word. I said goodbye with no reply. I then said well...Okay then. Still no reply. super clean, most beds a fantastic (stand up in room 3 has shitty speakers... but I'm sure they're fix it). Staff is friendly and mostly have a clue, as expected at a tanning salon. Sad there aren't more options around here.. Decent membership packages. They have 2 coupons on their website, one for 4 free tans and one for BOGO spray tan. Spray tanning is something like $42 but if you get the minimum membership with no cancellation fee it's $29/month unlimited tanning with 3 upgrade sessions to diamond and gold beds annnnd a free spray tan. You can also "freeze" your account if you're traveling etc. then they charge you $7.50/month during the "freeze" time but when you resume regular membership the money collected goes towards your monthly bill. Overall legit. They also provide eye protection/towels. Nice selection of crazy expensive lotions, beware haha. read more

I was headed to Grand Cayman Island for vacation and needed a spray tan. I have had great success before but it was in CT and hand spray (someone sprayed me). I just moved to VA and PBT was the closest around. I have had a spray tan by a machine a long time ago but not in 5 or more years. After the suggested setting time for the spray I still didnt look tan. I took a shower the next morning hoping it would set more. Still pretty pale. I went on my trip and my friends asked why I didn't tan before I came! I said I had a spray tan and they laughed....."well, that was waste of $50!!' Yes, it was definitely a waste of money. Won't do the spray tan again that's for sure. The employees were very nice, helpful and seemed knowledgeable, but I guess she just gave me the wrong advice as to what level to use. read more

Palm Beach Tan continues to perpetuate the mask mandate even after the Center For Disease Control (CDC) said that masks are no longer required. I visited other businesses today in Leesburg (Lowes, Wegmans, BestBuy, and Giant) all without a mask as they are adhering to CDC guidance/guidelines. But for some reason, Palm Beach Tan thinks they know better than everyone else and wants to ignorantly continue the mask requirement at their store. I am a disabled veteran with burn pit exposure issues making a mask very difficult to wear and bad for me. So to get scolded at your store when there is no good reason for you to be pushing your ridiculous mask mandate after CDC gave you the "all clear" is just plan stupid. Also, how about fixing your tanning bed bulbs. Almost every time I go in there, the bed I use (regardless of which one), has bulbs out. Not really satisfactory considering your are selling tanning bed service. read more

Everyone is always super nice and the facility is very clean - all the time! I've been going to this location for quite some time now, and the staff knows my name, which is always welcoming and great! I know the staff is always trying to make a sale, but anytime I've had questions about a product, I've never ever been pressured to buy anything! If I do end up purchasing, the staff always tries to help me get my money's worth out of the purchase! I love this location! read more

I have never been tanning in my life, besides the occasional lay out in the sun which would always result in a tomato-like sunburn. So in preparation for the warm weather, I decided to try tanning beds for the first time. I was greeted at the front desk by Marcus, who was super friendly and explained everything to me about every feature they offer. He took the time (which was a lot because I had a TON of questions and concerns) to address every thought I had, and set me up for the most successful tanning plan for my skin tone. Another lady jumped in a couple times, I believe her name was Emily, to give me even more advice on the best skin cream to help keep my tan dark and bronzed and also protect my skin. Between her and Marcus, I felt very confident going forward with tanning. I would definitely recommend this PBT to anyone looking for top of the line customer service. read more

I really enjoyed coming....until I didn't. I did about six sessions without issue and one day I come in and have to stand there for ten minutes before someone even approached the front of the store. There were three people behind me. Finally someone looks over and says they'll be with us shortly. Another two minutes till by and she finally asks what my name is. I had to repeat and spell my name over six times. On the sixth time she said "Sweetie, you need to speak up so that I can hear you. You're just too quiet". Time goes by when I'm repeating myself and she looks up and says "Oh, it's because you've never been here before. Do you want to start a membership". I had been there two days prior. She finally finds my account and tells me the room I need to go to. All over it just felt rude and cold. I'm ending my membership this month. There are plenty of other places to go tanning where there is much better customer service. I just liked this one because of location. read more

Very natural color. I have never had a spray tan before and didn't know what to expect. I tried Palm Beach Tan because it's up the street from where I live. I was in a hurry because I was getting ready for a 5 hour drive to Wildwood. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and explained everything I needed to do when he took me back to the room. I think I had the Versa? the room was very clean and not too cold. Anyway, the tan turned out to be very natural and even. I will be going back next week before my trip to Jamaica! read more

I've had mixed results with spray tans here. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. The big disappointment I've had here more than once is TERRIBLE and rude, almost arrogant customer service. Recently I lost a bracelet and when I called to ask them if I left it there, they said I'd have to come in and ask. I explained I lived 30 minutes away and that seemed silly since I could describe it over the phone. They gave me a manager who repeatedly told me that was their policy. In this day and age, when a company prioritizes policy (that makes no sense anyway) over customers, they are going to lose business. I won't be back. read more
