I used to tan at LA Tan and I will not be returning because PBT takes way better care of their customers!

Awful experience every time I come in!! I'd never used a tanning bed before this, and this center's business practices feel slimy. On my first visit, the manager sold me products I didn't actually need -- I was nervous and didn't know better, so I went along with it. When I tried to return them and get the product I actually needed, the manager was never in. By the time I finally caught her, it was too late to return anything. I also was never told I could be using a Level 5 bed when I signed up -- I'd been put in a Level 4 the whole time, even though there's almost a $40 price difference between the two. Once I found out, I asked to downgrade my membership for the following month. But now this month, I can't use the Level 5 bed at all. So I paid $104 for July and can't even use what I'm paying for. On top of that, almost everyone on staff has been unhelpful and unpleasant. The one exception is Grace, who's been genuinely kind and helpful every time. My advice: do your research before signing up here, or just go somewhere else. read more

Drove 20 minutes to palm beach tan because it was the only place open later on Saturday. Complete waste of time. I have been tanning for over 20 years and the girl at the front desk refused to let me go anything more than 6 minutes at any level because it was my first time at this location. Yet the price stayed the same with the same amount of minutes. After politely bringing this up to her multiple times how I didn't like being charged double because it's my first time, she continued trying to push the membership on me. This was horrible experience and I would do everything in your power never to come here! read more

There's only one mist spray tan booth. I wished they have more than one booth. Lots of waiting time.

My friends and I called three days ahead to ask if we would be able to make an appointment to get spray tans. They told us that we did not need to make an appointment, an they only accept walk ins. On the day we planned to get our tans, we arrived an hour before closing, and were told by the singular employee it we be 30-45 minutes or longer for the three girls ahead of us to get their tans. After 15 minutes of waiting, the employee and the three girls had made barely any progress in choosing what they were going to get for their tans. We called an LA Tan and they immediately told us that all three of us would be able to get our tans if we arrived in the next 45 minutes, so we walked out and went there instead. Overall, the employee was clearly unsympathetic and was in no hurry with the three girls in front of us. We think that not being able to make an appointment ahead of time and not being guaranteed service when arriving an entire hour before closing with only three customers ahead of us was ridiculous, and the system definitely needs improvement. read more

They were busy the day I went in but the desk attendant was not only attentive to me but all the guests walking in. She made sure I left bronzed and happy!! Thank you so much during these cold months. read more

Love this place! Lots of great beds (no wait!), clean and very helpful manager. Highly recommend.

So, I've been with palm beach tan since before I moved from out of state. I am not a customer anymore. AND, not being a member anymore was not my intention, but after this incident-i had no choice. My bank cancelled my card due to fraud charges- and when I went in to PBT a couple of weeks later with my new card to update my account, I had to pay 104$ In fees to tan again. On top of that, ( I thought everything was sorted out-ha, NO) I went back a week later only to have them tell me that my membership had been terminated the day I paid them the fees. SO, not only did I have to pay outrages fees for something out of my control, I wasn't even told that my membership was cancelled and in order to tan, I would have to pay an initiation fee alllll over again. I walked out of there and went straight to Fox Valley Tan, and well -I'm pissed I ever went anywhere else. Better prices, BETTER beds , BETTER BULBS, and no contractual fees or obligations. Oh and all those lotions that PBT sells for $$$, are about HALF here. LOL RIP OFF MUCH? Not to mention they give you free lotions when you sign up. Leave PBT before they stab you in the back ..after talking to others apparently this is something they hear about PBT "all the time". Thanks for nothing , PBT. read more
