I don't have a membership here but was needing a spray tan for a trip. I decided to stop in and just purchase one tan. The girl who helped me was incredibly kind and helped me pick out a color that wouldn't make me look orange. I wanted just a hint of a tan so I wouldn't glow in the dark on the beach. The color she set me up with was perfect! It was a hint of bronze without looking to fake. I also really appreciated that she didn't try to oversell me on products and things. I don't have a lot of time to come in regularly to get a spray tan but whenever I need a random one here and there I'll definitely be returning to this location! read more

This salon has been hit or miss, but more often MISS than anything. I appreciate the few stellar girls with great customer service like McKenna and Sarah Grace, but they never stay. Management changes every other week, if they even have a store manager at all. The store often closes unannounced because they can't keep staff - super inconvenient. No training - I recently sat with several other regulars trying to sign in and waited ten minutes while the clerk gave a potential customer a tour of the store. Mostly a bunch of preteen girls with zero personality and zero interest in you being there and doing their jobs. They lounge out front when they are not hiding in the office and have no sense of urgency to help you. Carmen flat out refused to help me when there was no music in the booth, and continuously gives me attitude. She made show of ignoring me and cleaning the counter instead of helping me get signed in today, while the girl with the bull nose ring leaned back against the counter and watched. Bulbs are so old I don't even break a sweat in the booths. Def go to the Allen location if you can. This location flat out sucks. read more

I used to love using this location - however, after my experience today with staff member Brittany, I will not come back. She was argumentative and kept using a condescending tone even though I was simply asking a basic question regarding a PBT policy since the different locations cannot seem to get their information accurate regarding their policies and products. To top things off, I was basically told I don't pay enough for my sunless membership. That the measly $80 I pay a month is on the lower end, and could upgrade for a better product, the versa Pro - which I have used at other PBT locations and let me tell you the results are not THAT much of a difference! The kicker? This location doesn't even have a versa Pro! So, let me get this straight, I would be paying more for a machine you don't even utilize?! How does that make any logical sense?? My issue is with PBT and their training. I have received different information from various locations and staff regarding their products and polices to the point where this is getting absurd. All of that aside, someone really should re-train Ms Brittany on her tone and manners, especially considering she is in customer service. Best of luck to you if you encounter her at this location. Solid neighborhood tanning spot. Early on the staff here was horrible and there were constant issues. I will say that Palm Beach is very active on social media. They listen when you voice concerns. That said this place is much improved. It's never overly busy so wait times are low. The beds now are really good if you pay a bit for level gold and up. The lower beds don't get bulbs changed out as much. Palm beach has a good rewards program and offer great specials and deals. Wait to spend $300 on some lotion until at least you can get another at half off lol. read more

I've been looking for a UV tanning spot close to the Plano area and I'm super happy I found this location because I've been avoiding the Planet Tan/Palm Beach Tan in Frisco. The staff is really friendly and they do not try to force you into buying any upgrades or lotions. Clean beds are available with no wait whenever I stop in, and the spray tan machine works really well, too. My only recommendation is to at least go with the $39 monthly option - the one below is a pretty weak bed. read more

What a great store! I just moved to northwest Plano from the Midwest (a different PBT "market" that has to be entered into the computer when I check in to tan here) and had been going to the Frisco location because it's closest to my house. This week I decided to tan at Legacy Village on the way home from my gym in southeast Plano, and thank goodness I did! What a world of difference from one location to another. I didn't even know what I was missing in Frisco! A few highlights of the Legacy location versus the Frisco store include new beds with fully functioning buttons (older looking beds with worn through, illegible buttons in Frisco), and the very friendly Taylor and Casey, ready and willing to get my membership changed over to the Dallas market (on two separate occasions in Frisco, the front desk person told me I'd have to call and change it myself because it would be easier than them doing it). I highly recommend this location, even if it's a bit out of the way. read more

Man I was really disappointed with this location. (It's not my usual spot but decided to try it since I was in the area and in a hurry). Walking in the guy at the front greeted me got me signed in. However, as soon as I turned down his offer to purchase any of the specials, his demeanor changed, and he became not so friendly. I'm pretty sure he he put me in the lowest level bed, despite the fact that is not what I pay for, neither what I asked for. The bed badly needed a deep clean. When I got finished and was walking out, there were 2 more employees in the front sitting cross legged on the counters in the front. Unprofessional and very disappointed. I'll stick to my normal store next time. The only reason I'm giving them 1 star is because there was no wait. read more

I drove across town to this location to avoid the Frisco location that is within walking distance of me. Overall the two ladies at the from were friendly, didn't try to sell me on lotion at all, and sent me right away to the correct level bed. The room, bed, and towel all looked very clean! Such a relief from my last experience at the other location! Why can't I get this experience at every location!!?? It's a very nice and clean facility. My only complaint is that on my first day the Manager sold me a tan accelerator by telling me I could get 30% off because I had just signed up. It looked like a good product so I bought it for $100. I looked on Amazon and the exact same product was $53. I left a note for the manager and a voicemail and she never called me back. I was welcomed as soon as I came in the door with no appointment. Syndey was very professional, polite, and very informative to how the beds work and what the cost would be. The place is clean, wasn't pressured to sign up for membership (I really appreciate that) and had no hesitation in trying it out. Level 5 seems better to use than the Level 1. Had s few good experiences but this last one is why I am hesitant to do business with places. Made a purchase and return to use them and discover that they expired. Dishonesty in sales is a big no. You must tell people up front what they are purchasing. In addition, don't tell the customer that a manager might be able to help me. Solve the problem. If you can't at that moment, then take a name and number, pass it to manager to be taken care of. They will not get my business again. read more

I have been a long term customer of PBT at this location and recently had an unbelievably horrible experience! I stopped in to do my weekly spray tan and after entering the booth the machine malfunctioned and sprayed me with what could only be described as black tar all over my body. Obviously I panicked and started yelling for help. As the 2 attendants approached me in horror after seeing what occurred, I asked them to call their supervisor. After attempting to wipe down all of the tar I approached the front desk and asked what their supervisor had said. They told me to go home, take a shower and come back. Needless to say, I was underwhelmed at the level of customer service (or lack thereof). I then reached out to management and finally received a call profusely apologizing and offering me a $25.00 credit on my account. (Which is a joke since there are no products sold there under $50.00) I then went in for a spray tan and was smugly informed by the 2 teenagers that had witnessed the incident that I was no longer allowed to tan at this facility because they "didn't like the way I handled the situation". This is by far the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced in my life! read more

This is by far the cleanest most well kept facility of all the Palm Beach Tan facilities I have visited. The staff is always friendly and courteous-MUCH more so than the facility at the Dallas North Tollway (between Parker and Windhaven), where they all seem to loathe their jobs or have better things do to than be friendly and helpful. This Plano location does offer a sale every time, but I love that they take "no" for an answer, and are not pushy and obnoxious. I am never afraid to take my shoes off and walk barefoot, or touch anything, because it is always immaculately kept. I love that even their old machines are kept clean and in good condition...and all of them work, every time I get in one. I have never had to get dressed and move to a different bed because it doesn't work (as I have had to do more than once at the Tollway facility). I don't know if you guys compare notes or not, but this Plano facility is winning big time!! Thanks, you guys-you're the best!! read more

I left my Michael Kors watch in the tanning room on 8-30. I called the minute I got home which was within 2-3 hours of tanning and gave my personal information to the assistant manager, Brittany. She assured me at that time that she had already retrieved the watch, would make note of my name as the owner, and advised that it had already been placed in their store safe. I returned to the store on 9-5 in the AM and the manager, Corey could not find my watch anywhere. At that time, he stated that he was unable to reach Brittany via telephone. He stated that he would add a few tans to my account for my inconvenience of coming by and not being able to retrieve my watch. Brittany called me the next afternoon and advised that an employee had given my watch out to a male patron who came in asking about a Michael Kors watch. She stated that she was going to look at the video camera to see if she could identify the customer and get back with me. She advised that the employee could not remember. I then called on Wednesday the 9-7 and spoke with Corey. He told me that the employee who allegedly gave my watch out to a male patron had left the country to Germany to attend school, and they were unable to reach him for that reason. I mentioned that cell phones work no matter what country you are in, at a minimum they could text him. He paused and reluctantly said he would try and reach him and get back with me. As a result of the stories seemingly not matching up, I phoned corporate to file an official complaint. The regional manager contacted me the next evening advising that she would be investigating that matter, visiting the store and I would hear back no later than end of business Monday. Never heard anything Monday despite my voicemail message. I called again on Tuesday and finally got a call back that afternoon. She stated that she reviewed the tapes and there never was any male customer who was given my watch. She stated that they did not feel that any current employees had stolen my watch, but the employee they suspected was no longer with the company and they had not thus far been able to reach him. I advised her at that time I was going to file a police report and ask them to investigate since it was clear a case of employee theft and the entire story that two of their store managers told me was completely fabricated. She advised that she was sorry, but the most they could do is add a few tans to my account. I told her that Corey already made me that offer so basically they are doing nothing about their deficient organizational integrity. read more
