Horrible experience. I bought 3 tans for my wife and they said she would have 3 months to use Then she said they would work with us because of my wife's busy schedule. I purchased the tans on December 23 My wife went for her first tan beginning of March She was told her balance has been wiped clean because she didn't use the service within 45 days?? My wife said it hasn't been 45 days and the lady at the counter said there is nothing she could do. Wife asked for the manager and the young lady said she probably won't answer but she couldn't do anything either. Now I have to fight to get my $90 back. They do not have gift cards only electronic data base. Every one be careful when you go here they will say one thing and do another. Been at the Lake Forest location for 2 years & the "new" employees around are definitely more friendly than a few previous. I wish I knew everyone's names! We aren't there to make friends though. I get that some customers want to feel like royalty ...but you're here for an unnecessary, frivolous thing. You have other options for your $50-100 per month. They also train employees so the unapproachable, awkward people could be training to move to elsewhere. My questions have always been answered about products & services, even when I'm being super picky about formulas & crazy upcharge at ALL places in Collin county - no matter the company or facility. I came into this location today at 4pm to tan. No one was at the front desk, eventually Alicia came up from the employee area and put me in booth 24, and then Alicia went back to the employee area. This booth happens to be directly on the other side of a thin wall that divides the booth and the employee area. As I started getting ready to tan, I heard all three employees laughing and talking about how one of them looks just like this other girl who is super pretty and a strawberry blonde, but her personality sucks and called her a B**** multiple times. They even specifically said, "yeah you look just like her, but you aren't a B**** like she is".This gave off serious mean girl vibes! When I was done tanning I asked if the manager was there, she was not, so I was told the call the number on the card(it is the store number). I spoke to Reaghan(assistant store manager) who, I believe is the one they were comparing the other girl too, that I was upset about the conversation I heard coming from the employee area. She confirmed there were only 3 employees working, but said she wasn't sure what I was talking about. There was only one other customer in the building, who finish tanning as I was getting into my booth. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to put two and two together, if only 3 employees are working, and I heard 3 people talking in the employee area, that both Alicia and Reaghan were part of it! I go tanning to relax and pamper myself. I don't go to hear mean girls and be lied to! Not the best experience and disheartening how Reaghan handled it. Instead of asking me more details and say she would look into it, or apologizing for the situatiion, she chose to deny the whole thing and be defensive. read more

My review is mainly for their account management/billing. I needed to freeze my membership and went in 5 days prior to my billing. I stated I am unable to tan moving forward and needed to freeze. There was NO mention of it being 2 days past their system date and that I would be charged for the month. When I received my bank statement, I called the the studio to let them know I had been charged. They referred to me to their customer service number and I was told there is nothing they can do to refund me. Their lack of communication in studio and poor customer service will cost them a member. I'm sure they do not care based on the response I received. read more

I have had nothing but friendly customer service at this location. The staff are always kind and as for some reviewer that said they were "unkept", no clue where they got that from or why they'd include that in a review for a tanning bed. Remember when you look at a Yelp rating to look at those one star reviews because most of the time they might not have anything to do with the product. I joined at the Denton location (fabulous as well) and I live in Mckinney so I frequent this location a lot. The place is clean, as are the beds and they always make sure to tell me if I have an upgrade or a special going on. I'm always in and out and it never takes long to get to a bed. Every staff member I've encountered is super knowledgable about the different levels and always willing to give advice. I appreciate that when I say "I'll go for 12" they are quick to tell me if the bed has new bulbs and all that and that way I know to go for ten so I don't burn. Highly recommend. read more

Oh my goodness, I cannot say enough great things about Crystal. She's so helpful, kind and professional. I know they're busy and they are sometimes working alone, but she's never rushes you and on the phone she's thorough and helpful, as well. I've had a membership here for several years - maybe I don't use it enough, but I think I've enjoyed every employee here and of course it's always clean and comfortable, too. Had a great experience! It's been a while since I tanned at a palm beach or planet tan. I was quickly greeted by a sweet girl with long brown hair, she explained everything quickly/thoroughly & explained everything so I understood. She did not try to sell me anything unnecessary or push me if I said no to any add on's. She walked me back to my room & did a refresher of how it works since I earlier mentioned it had been a while. There were other customers that came in after me & she was very friendly with them but still made sure I got back for my spray tan quickly. The room was super clean, the machine looked new and overall the building was pretty clean and well lit. Can't wait to come back. read more

This location, and the chain overall is consistent with it's quality. The staff are friendly and personable, sometimes a little pushy trying to sell you $90 bottles of lotion, but that's what is expected of them from their bosses. The beds are super clean... and so long as you are not a level 1 or 2 patron they are really comfy and relaxing. Don't care much for the spray tan because it once dripped water on me (a big drop straight down my face) midway through the session. This was just before a vacation of a lifetime and I looked like a freak. Plus it turns the bottom of your feet brown (ew) and makes you look overall dirty. I canceled my membership back in October after going to the dermatologist and having to have 2 pre cancerous places removed from my back. That was a wake up call! I just noticed last week that they were still charging my credit card. I went in and canceled again and was hoping I could maybe get some store credit for spray tans for the close to 200 dollars in money they drafted since October. Just got a message from the manager that there was no documentation of the cancelation. The end! They will not be getting my business for spray tans in the future. read more

First experience was kind of iffy, after working at a tanning salon and then just moving to the location I don't know if I would have gone back if it wasn't for my "giving a second chance/shot" thought. S, second time, great and very respectable. I actually was able to the answers to what questions I had ( other than beating around the bush answers) and I signed up for a coupon AND already bought a package for next month. The prices for packages aren't too terrible. Compared to others this is fine, I don't care how cool and new the beds are as long as their bulbs are up to par then I'm game! The beds were clean and I like that they have a station for deodorant, hair ties, ect. To help you out. Oh and their hours, how could you go wrong, you can go at almost any time of day! read more

The beds are clean but not the floors. The people at the front always look really tired and unkept as well as pretty annoyed. The girl who helped me both times I have tanned here seems kind of nice until I don't buy the monthly tanning she tries to sell me then she becomes irritated and rude. Beware of purchasing upgrades. I was told by the sales associates (Asst Mgr) they were offering an upgrade for 45 sessions for $65. I asked specifically if there was an expiration date and she said, "No expiration". She actually wrote, No expiration on the receipt. After using less than half the manager said the sessions expired. I showed her the receipt and she said that manager was fired and refused to honor and stand behind what their employees say. This is not the first time I have received mixed messages from the staff. I would recommend not believing what you are told and to get things in writing but this business doesn't honor written agreements either. read more

Amazing tanning salon, the staff is super sweet and knowledgeable. The prices aren't bad but memberships are definitely cheaper. I've recommended a lot of friends to this salon. I always do the Sun Angel which is the highest level and do the Versa Pro and I get amazing results! It's great to just come in and relax! read more

Sorry to say, but majority of the employees that work at the Palm Beach by my work all have an attitude and isn't helpful at all. I went to tan at this location today closer to my home and had an issue with my account and the guy that seemed to be the manager on duty was super helpful. I hate that I didn't catch his name, but he knew how to troubleshoot and resolved my problem. I went here to get a spray tan earlier this month and got a staph infection!! The booth says it goes through a cleaning process, but apparently not one that kills staph. I had to go on antibiotics, get cultured, see doctor..etc. I had not been anywhere else AT ALL..So I know it came from this spray tan booth at this location. I guess they need some way to clean that booth to get the staph out... read more

When I first went to Palm Beach Tan it was recommended by one of my friends who just recently got their Mystic Tan and came to school looking nicely sun-kissed so I decided to join her and get a spray tan myself . When I first arrived I had to fill out a little paperwork then the lady working behind the counter showed me to my booth and gave me nice pointers on what to do for the best results for my tan. I must say the tans smell and taste AWFUL. I made the stupid mistake of breathing just as the nozzle crossed over my face. But once I was out I simply waited the recommended six hours before showering and the next morning when I woke up I was incredibly tan! The only little mistake I made was with the hand lotion they give you. I didn't out as much as I should have and my hands turned out a little splotchy. But none the less, I will be returning soon to touch up my tan. :) read more

Horrible customer service!! I have never tanned before, went in with questions, the 1st associate I spoke with was a nice young girl who had absolute zero product knowledge. Then, the 2nd associate I spoke with was extremely rude, treated me like I was stupid because I asked about the difference in their tanning lotions and other lotions I could buy at Target or other stores (they only want to push their product on you). After a frustrating conversation, which I never got any of questions answered, I decided this was not for me. To top off my horrible experience, when I asked for the managers information, my reply from associate #2 was "I'm the manager... And you can get out of my store"!! I am absolutely appalled by the customer service of this location!! I have never gone tanning before and after this experience I probably will never try it again!! Disgusted!! read more

I really like this tanning place vs. other experiences because for the most part the staff is friendly. Sometimes you do get down stressed out staff but when there's like 5 people wanting to used the same beds I'd be stressed out too. I really liked the knowledge the staff had on how to maximize my tan and how on staff member gave me advice on switching up beds and using upgrades when they have specials. That's much appreciated as I had not known that before! I wish I knew his name! He's always pleasant and actually has learned my name correctly! The beds are clean, and I haven't had any concerns about the quality of the bulbs or noticed any bulbs out in the three months I have been with this company. They will sell you fabulous product, yes it expensive, but it works, and it's not a knock off like you will find online ! And they explain why you need it or if you simply tell them your price range they can tell you what they have! Ive never felt ignored, and I have never seen anyone get treated without the upmost respect! It's a pretty fabulous place to get looking fabulous! read more

The beds are really nice and they do a great job of keeping everything really clean! My only complaint is that the staff there are never very friendly. Almost border-line rude. I recently joined and have only been about 10 times, but every single time they never smile and always seemed annoyed that they have to check me in. When I first joined I asked two different times to two different girls about all the beds I could use on my plan, and they never answered my question-- they just put me in one of the beds that was available and on my plan.
