The Shrimp Scampi came out first, so we encouraged our friend to eat. About 10 minutes later, two pies came out and we were waiting on the third, which never arrived. Several requests were made and the response was that it was working. Well, after about 20-25 additional minutes the manager came over and apopogized. Apparently, the order was never placed. He ended up having it made anyway, and gave it to our frustrated diner to take free of charge. Very disappointing for all involved. On the first visit my wife ordered Shrimp Linguine Fradiavolo which was a generous portion of shrimp over linguine with a wonderfully spicy marinara sauce. (She let me try it). I ordered Gnocchi Sorrentina which I customized to my preferences. Substituted marinara for meat sauce and added some charred Italian sausage. Probably the best gnocchi I've ever had. Portions of both dishes were large enough to take back to enjoy for lunch the next day. On our second visit, my wife had Spaghetti Al Pomodoro and I tried Veal Marsala. Both were north of wonderful! During both visits we also enjoyed fresh garlic bread. Uncle Guiseppe's is busy and noisy. Service is so good you don't notice the "busy" once you're seated. This was our best restaurant find this trip.

Their posted hours indicate they are open until 8:00 p.m. Since my wife and I typically go out to dinner around 7:30-8:00 p.m., this was the first time we were able to arrive before closing. We walked in at approximately 7:25 p.m., expecting to have dinner, only to be told they were no longer accepting dine-in orders and were serving takeout only. If your posted closing time is 8:00 p.m., customers should reasonably expect to be able to dine in until then--or at the very least, there should be a clearly posted notice stating that dine-in service ends earlier. Instead, we made the trip only to be turned away. We eat out five or six nights a week and typically spend $70-$90 for dinner with drinks and tip. We were ready to become regular customers if the pizza lived up to its reputation, but first impressions matter. We left without ordering and, unfortunately, won't be back. Businesses have every right to establish their own policies, but those policies should match the hours they advertise so customers don't waste a trip.

On my first visit we had the grandmother's pizza which was fantastic. I gave them a five star review. On my second visit we once again had the same pizza. It was good BUT not as good as the first visit. While there we heard a guest mention the eggplant parm hero and so, on our third visit we tried one along with an "attempt" at trying a 1/2 meatball and 1/2 sausage hero. I say "attempt" because even though we ordered the 1/2 and 1/2 hero, we received a meatball hero. Unfortunately, it didn't matter as neither hero was very good. The meatball hero lacked flavor and the eggplant hero, although stuffed with a ton of eggplant, left us wanting. Too bad, we do like to support local individually owned restaurants but I believe Anna's has seen us for the last time.
