Husband and I had a hankering for some good Italian but we didn't feel like going out to eat. We picked up some food here to go, having never eaten here before. Let me start by saying, I have had hundreds of cauliflower pizzas, from many different restaurants. I can't seem to find anywhere that makes them right. I ordered the cauliflower Quatro fomaggi pizza... My husband picked the order up a few minutes past it's prime so we got it a bit cold. Despite the pizza literally being cold by the time it got to my house, it was NO JOKE the best cauliflower pizza I have had in my life. The flavors were spectacular, cheeses were savory and sweet, sauce was ridiculously flavorful and enjoyable. My husband got some lasagna and he enjoyed it thoroughly. We also got the gluten free chocolate mousse cake and it was decadent and sweet. We split it and it was so full of flavor, one slice was enough for us to share. My husband recounted that he's been struggling to eat meals recently and this meal literally brought back his enjoyment for food. We enjoyed the food a lot. Very disappointed with how this situation was handled. My mom, sister, and I came in for dinner on 6/26 and ate on the patio. My sister ordered the Rigatoni Boscaiola with a chicken cutlet on it. Looking at the chicken, it was visibly pink, and she understandably didn't feel comfortable eating it. We informed our server, who apologized, but the plate never left our table and was never taken to the kitchen for anyone to inspect. We ended up removing the chicken to a separate plate ourselves. When the bill arrived, the chicken was still included. After we asked about it, the server told us the chef said, "It's just a vein." Please see photo attached as the chicken is visibly pink and we are aware what a vein looks like. That was extremely frustrating because the chef never actually saw the chicken after we raised the concern--the plate remained at our table the entire time. We weren't looking for a free meal. We simply wanted our concern to be taken seriously and for someone to inspect the chicken before dismissing it. Instead, we paid for chicken my sister no longer felt comfortable eating. My husband and I were on a mini road trip when we had a craving for Italian food. I consulted my handy-dandy Yelp app and happened upon Pastaio Handmade Pasta. This free-standing establishment has an elegant feel without the pretentiousness. With black and white modern decor and attentive staff, Pastaio's gave us a 5-star experience all around. Our server, Axel, was amazing - great suggestions, anticipated our needs but didn't hover. Our meal began with complimentary garlic bread that was warm, tasty and just plain good. My husband and I also ordered a salad - the burrata caprese - to split before our entrees came out. We gobbled up the dish quickly - it was fresh, colorful and light. We had a very large group. We sat outside and it was very nice. We were there during happy hour. They had a three course dinner menu which had a choice of 8 different items. I had the chicken francese that came with green beans and kale Caesar, You had a choice of mixed green salad, kale Caesar or soup of the day, For dessert they had cheese cake. The kale Caesar was delicious. It was a nice portion. The chicken came with two cutlets and green beans, it was also delicious. The cheese cake was very good also. Some people ordered pizza and it looked amazing. Our server was Shannon. She was wonderful. She kept checking on us to make sure we didn't need anything. I'll definitely return. Italian We were looking for a night out place and decided to give Pastaio a go as we always pass it but have never been in. Made reservations and headed over that evening - the place was bustling when we got there. We were a few minutes early and were told to wait a few for a table - so no issue there. Oddly enough, two sets of walk-ins came in after us and were sent straight to a table- I thought that a bit odd but we weren't starving so no big deal. We did get our table a few minutes after the reservation time and our waiter was by a few minutes later with introductions. We took that opportunity to order drinks and review the menu. The menu is pretty comprehensive- plenty to choose from at a lot of price points, so basically, everyone in your group should be able to find something that works for them. Waiter gave us some additional special options for the night and we got our orders in - Burrata Caprese, which according to the menus is "semi-soft mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, basil, EVOO, balsamic vinaigrette". The burrata was fine enough but the thing was covered, and i mean *covered* in grape tomatoes - like a big pile of them with what looked like maybe a plum tomato cut into a few slices as an afterthought. Good thing we like tomatoes is all I'm saying. Outside of that, the taste was fine. Mains consisted of Chicken Al Pastaio and Pappardelle Bolognese. Both were fine enough - the chicken was a breast and a tad overcooked and overall, the chicken dish was on the salty side of things. Bolognese seemed to fare better. We finished with a shared dessert and called it a night. The only other thing that stuck out was the abundance of sugar ants roaming the table- it is FL so we did not make a big deal of it, but they need to step up their pest control efforts I would think. Wow....this pace has been on my list for a very long time to try and I am so glad we finally decided to go! The food was absolutely delicious from the bread to the desert. First the bread they give you at the table is sooo good. Super fresh and crispy. The pasta dishes were to die for especially with the fresh cheese they put on top. The tiramisu is sooo good too. All I can say to start off is WOW! We rolled up to the patio bar on a Saturday eve to be greeted by Brandon the bartender. Very friendly. Ordered two glasses of cabernet and looked over the menu. My hubs ordered the mussels in white wine sauce which could have been shared with the bar! So yummy and nice sized. He also ordered a side of the meatballs which were the size of a small childs head - so full or flavor and so light! Outstanding. I went for a cavatelli pasta tratorria which was delish! I was up this way visiting family over the weekend and someone had recommended this place to us and it was probably one of the best restaurant recommendations I have got in a while The place was not too large, but big enough that everyone was comfortable and was able to enjoy the great ambience. The staff was so nice and very attentive to all of our needs, from the time we walked in the door, to the time we left. The food - well I want to say that everything, and I mean everything was delicious. All the items we ordered were so fresh, tasted great, that it let know that they are using some high quality ingredients, not cutting corners and very focused on the food they are putting out. The pasta is made fresh and you can definitely tell. This was by far one of the best Italian spots I have tried in the area. All in all, an excellent meal and experience. The first hint that this place is a treat is the long line waiting to dine. Important that you make sure you make a reservation. First the ambiance; Nice looking restaurant with a cute outdoor section and busy bar area. Next the service; Top notch. Our server was personable, knowledgeable and served efficiently with a smile. The manager stopped by twice to make sure we were taken care of. Finally, the food; You can almost always tell how good your meal will be once you've tasted the bread and salad. In this case we knew we were in for something special. Our garlic bread was fantastic (hint: ask for a side of the garlic butter to dip the bread). Next, the salad. We started off sharing the Gorgonzola salad. Which had mixed greens, crumbled Gorgonzola cheese, pears, tomato,onions, cucumbers, balsamic vinegar. Not a problem sharing as there's plenty of salad for two. It was nice and crisp, with plenty of dressing and Gorgonzola. On to the main course... my lovely bride had the Chicken Sorrentino which features sliced eggplant, fresh mozzarella, light pomodoro sauce, herbs. I had the Rigatoni Boscaiola which is rigatoni, pancetta, mushrooms, peas, vodka sauce, parmigiano. Although both dishes were cooked to perfect, the Rigatoni Boscaiola was the clear favorite. On to dessert; My bride had the Tiramisu and I had the Chocolate Kahulua Cake. The Tiramisu was ok . Had better but, the Chocolate Kahulua Cake was out of this world. Light, fluffy and served with chocolate and caramel sauce, this was most definitely the dessert to get. Finally, the price; You won't get out of here on the cheap. It's one of the more expensive Italian restaurants in the area and they tack on a ridiculous $3.50 charge for whatever (which I hate restaurants that sneakily do that) but, if your looking for value versus price, Pastaio most assuredly delivers. read more

We had a large group party of kids next to us which was a zoo. I ordered a bar drink and the ginger ale was flat. Tried a sprite, that was flat too. Service was somewhat slow and maybe understaffed. Food was just average at best, not great but not terrible. I felt it was overpriced as well. I'd be hard pressed to go back anytime soon. Restaurant was a bit noisy but I can't blame them it was the kids and crossing babies and lack of parenting. Nothing like paying money to be annoyed. And a 2$ restaurant ops fee... We were a party of 4 on a Friday evening. First of all our water glasses were dirty asked to have clean ones. Asked for bread 3 times which finally arrived . Asked to turn down the music which was loud, had to go ask the manager to lower music since our waiter did not do this. We had many mishaps with our waiter! later also servers brought wrong dishes of food to our table, we brought this to the attention of the manager then later half of us got our dinner & our other 2 friends waited another 30 mins for pizza after notifying the manager our waiter seemed very inexperienced. Food was good except one dish of spaghetti was over cooked & dry. The management needs to better train the serving staff. Sorry to say that we will NEVER return to this establishment!! read more

Pastaio is one of the best Italian restaurants out there. This location out of the ones I have been to is the best one. My favorite thing to get at this place is the pizza with pepperoni and bacon.
