They had water and a cookie tray out at check-in with the coffee makers out all day. The breakfast was also decent (standards like eggs, sausage, pancake maker, oatmeal, bagels, etc.) so you need not worry about spending money to go out for breakfast. Plenty of dinner options nearby in a short drive or walking distance. The price was also pretty reasonable and was centrally located to my needs. If I am back in the area, I would definitely return to this Holiday Inn.

She was wearing a pin that prompted me to ask. I had a King suite and the room was super clean and sizeable. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in. Likely due to the friendliness and smiling face and attention to detail of Maria, one of their housekeeping associates. I had the free breakfast on my check out date this morning and it was a pretty nice selection of fresh menu items from bagels, toast, yogurts, milk, meats, eggs, hashbrowns, fresh fruit, oatmeal, juices and coffees. I requested late check out the morning of, just needed an extra half hour to finish up a meeting, and Caleb at the front desk did not hesitate to accommodate me. He was friendly, personable and engaging when I checked out and that goes a long way, especially since I also come from a customer-service industry. On another note, tons of restaurants and shopping in the area, and if you're coming from out of the area, this is only 30 minutes from Clearwater and local beaches and a short 45 from St Pete/Madeira/Johns Pass/Treasure Island. Go have dinner at Mystic Fish. AMAZING seafood. I will definitely stay here again, and this particular IHG hotel will be my #1 choice when I return to the area.

Small detail, but noticeable. The pillows were surprisingly comfortable as well, although the bed itself was a bit too firm for my liking. I did like the "home away from home" feel that Residence Inns usually provide, even though I've stayed at nicer Residence Inn properties before. Parking was convenient overall, but I could see it becoming tight on a busy weekend, possibly forcing guests to park across near the Courtyard. Not a huge issue, just something to note. The downsides were mainly the shower taking quite a while to get warm and the breakfast being very average and forgettable. Also, the staff didn't really make the stay feel memorable. As a Marriott elite member, it would've been nice to at least receive some acknowledgment or a warmer welcome during check-in. Not a bad stay by any means, but also not one that really stood out.

One day it was pretty warm, and we let the front desk agent know, but she didn't know how to fix it. The outdoor pool was open 9 am to 9 pm so just outside a window where we could use it. Overall, no major complaints. It was a comfortable stay.

Upon arrival, they were told that the only available room was on the third floor and that the elevator was not working. The hotel claimed they had called me to inform me of this in advance, but I have no missed calls or emails from them. When I spoke with the manager, Kelly, she stated that there was a note on the hotel website advising guests that the elevator was out of service--this was also not true. The hotel showed no concern that they left an 80-year-old and an 85-year-old couple, both with mobility limitations, without accommodations on New Year's Eve. They repeatedly said there was nothing they could do. To make matters worse, the manager, Kelly, was extremely unhelpful and even laughed during our conversation as I tried to find a solution for my grandparents, who also face a language barrier. This level of disregard, lack of empathy, and unprofessional behavior was shocking and unacceptable

We were in the area for some business and Candlewood Suites was located within 5 mins of where we needed to go. The lobby was clean and inviting, and the front desk staff was friendly making check in a breeze. Our room was on the second floor and I was amazed at how big it was. Basically a mini suite with a kitchen complete with microwave, dishwasher, 2 burner induction stove top, coffee maker, refrigerator and stocked with utensils, plates, glasses, and pots and pans. It was very clean and offered so much more than we needed. King size bed was comfy and the desk was perfect to use for some work while there. The room doors are quite heavy, so you can hear when other people are entering or leaving their rooms if they allow the door to close on it's own. They also have a pool, gym, and convenience store on the first floor. In addition to the hotel being great, there are shopping plaza's all around with so many food choices. There is even a Publix across the street if you want to buy groceries for your room stay. We had a very pleasant two night stay here and if we have to come back to this area, we would definetly stay here again! A gem really for the price and quality! Thank you Candlewood Suites!

On what I thought was my second day, I…read morereceived a call from the Hotel asking me when I was planning on checking out because they needed to clean my room. I told them that I thought I had booked two nights. They said no and that I had to immediately return to the hotel and get my stuff. Mind you I was having lunch with clients at the time. I asked the hotel to just add a night to my stay but they said that they were sold out and they were getting $800 for rooms that night due to demand. So I dropped everything I was doing and got an Uber back to the hotel to throw all my stuff together and find another hotel. Something the HIlton Garden Inn Tampa Oldsmar could have done as aa courtesy. They could have recommended other Hilton properties in the area but they chose not to. So My customer called around and found the Hampton Inn in Dunedin had a room. It was $348. I was still charged a late fee of $200 for late checkout which was primarily due to trying to find another hotel and negotiate the late fee. The published late fee is $40 to $60 by the way but apparently individual properties can do whatever they want. I called corporate and they said yeah that is fine. Local properties can have whatever polices they want and their customers just have to deal with that. So lets review the charges. $221 for one night plus a $226 late fee plus UBER and leaving clients during a meeting, etc. After several calls that weren't returned by the property and several long painful calls to HIlton corporate nothing was done to honor the published late fees (because keep in mind the properties can do whatever they want and we should love that). I then paid $348 for the Hampton Inn in Dunedin because The Hilton Garden Inn had no rooms for me. But they did apparently get $800 for my room that I hastily exited in addition to my $447 dollars so $1227 total for one night. Great job by Lee the General Manager/ Operations Manager of pulling down some serious profit for the property. Stupid me spent $348 in Dunedin the next night. If you stay here or any Hilton property apparently, please print out the local properties policies and have your lawyer review them just in case you may accidentally violate one of them. Hilton thinks this is a reasonable request. They have an identity crisis. They want to be a premier resort and spa, but the facilities just don't support it. They could play up the historic side, but the renovations, remodels, and upgrades don't support that. The locations and grounds are great! On the water, beautifully maintained grounds. The main restaurant offers a typically hotel menu, but with so many restaurants in walking distance the competition is rough. There really is no organic, clean, vegetarian, healthy menu you find at most premier resort spas. The spa itself hasn't changed since my last visit, and when viewed through the nostalgic lens, feels much better. The spa treatments and techs are still amazing. Actually, I recognized several employees across the resort and spa from a couple years ago. The people you interact with are great and customer focused. It's the people you don't see or interact with that bring the place down. The repair men, the remodelers, building maintenance - they just do poor work. Every toilet I flushed would drip from the bottom of the tank when flushed. Poorly patched and painted wall damage, elevators with gouges and scratches all through the inside. Two side by side light switches, but the left one controls the right side of the bathroom, the right switch controls the left. The wall plate is crooked with an unpatched space under it. It's the little annoyances, the lack of attention to details that hold this place back. My updated balcony room was great overall and just what I hoped for. They still double charge for resort amenities and they still are the nicest resort and spa in Safety Harbor.

Safety Harbor, I have loved you for years but this old hotel spa just can't be restored it seems…read more About every 5 years I will attempt a spa day here and every single time I am underwhelmed by the "renovations". It needs a total facelift. First, I am only reviewing the spa not the hotel rooms. A fresh coat of paint doesn't rid the facility of the damp smell. The ladies locker room had a lingering sewage smell that persists more than any other part of the spa. Great attention HAS been paid to the caulk and tile, things were spotless, but the smell...puzzling. The towels are thin and old, they need to be replaced. Pretty sure we're using really old robes too, they are dingy and not white anymore. The furniture in the ladies lounge is 40 year old wicker, unchanged since I first visited in the early 90's. This place is falling apart. A spa lounge should be sanctuary-like. These have a doctors office feel with upright wood frame chairs with old upholstery. Some soft chaise lounges, soft music, and eucalyptus diffusers would go a long way to enhance the environment. The surfaces of the co-ed hot tubs are so sharp it is painful to step and sit inside. Folks, call one of the 100 Tampa Bay pool companies and resurface these ancient relics. Also, they boast spring fed pools however, they are using so much chlorine in the indoor spa and pools that it burns the throat and the eyes. I had a rough Swedish style massage from Maurice whom I would not choose again. My daughter had a wonderful massage by a female therapist. The food at the pool Tiki Bar was the best part of the day. Fresh salads and grilled chicken and burgers were to everyone's liking. The chef at the poolside was on point! Great bar staff also, Winston was friendly and kind. This location, the historic main hotel and the property make this a special place, maybe Wyndham is just getting started here?

It is a Hilton property so it is really nice and it is close to historic downtown Tarpon Springs and the Sponge Docks. The room was large and smelled fresh with cold AC and the beds and pillows were very comfortable as you expect in Hilton properties. Our hallway was very quiet. The only thing we didn't like was that the in room refrigerator wasn't working and we couldn't save our leftovers. We were too tired to change rooms by the time we discovered it. We were just here to sleep, coming in late and leaving early, and the room did a great job serving its purpose. I was happy to see that there was still plenty of parking in the lot even though we came in late. The hotel has an outdoor pool and exercise room along with chocolate chip cookies when you check in. The best perk though was the free breakfast in the morning. It was way more than I expected. We were the first ones at breakfast and the hot coffee and juice and ample food really helped to get us going. They had eggs, potatoes, bacon, a waffle station with a sauce and toppings bar, cereal, fruit, and yogurt. The breakfast really adds to the value of the hotel. If I was visiting Tarpon Springs again this would be my first choice for accommodations.
