Absolutely fabulous course. Not only was it in great shape, the staff was 10/10 . The atmosphere was so relaxing in a way I've never experienced at a golf course. It is a very challenging course though. Narrow fairways and tough greens. I would not recommend golfing here if you're shanking the ball all over the place. Only downside is that there is no driving range but you get over it pretty quickly because for how tough the course is, a driving range ain't gonna make a difference. I think this course is ideal for your afternoon round after your more serious round in the morning. I golfed at PGA West course earlier in the week and would rather golf here again! Definitely will be booking a round everytime im in the area. read more

Played the 18 hole putting green... It was so much fun. My wife & I laughed a cursed & thoroughly had the golf experience without being out all day. The last hole was like a 'Tin Cup' hole... You could take a hundred shots at it without sinking it. So much fun! We'll be back! read more

Horrible service. I called in advance to ask about reserving rental clubs, and they said they could without issue. I am left handed so it can be difficult to find them. I arrive and they said rental clubs come with six balls, they don't. I look at the clubs they provided and they tell me they'll get me my correct ones later. They gave me women's clubs. They promised they would get me my clubs shortly and would call. They never did, and were rude to my face when I was confused as to why they gave me women's clubs when they promised they had my name marked down read more

If you are looking for the best golf course in the valley this is not it. But if you are looking for a good golf course with a relaxed atmosphere and a great time this course is it. The staff is outstanding from the pro shop, golf attendants, starter to waitstaff this course checks off all this with the five star rating. Golf moose voucher $200 foursome. This course is very old. As a matter of fact there's a sign boasting it's historic. That can be said of the type of golfer too - super senior population. The golf course is nestled in the older section of Palm Springs. The adjacent homes look very dated. If not for the value deal I'm not sure we would have played here. Fairways were brown. Greens somewhat lumpy. The course needs work. Plus the holes run in parallel. Very narrow. It appears renovations are going on. The pro shop is in a trailer. The tiki looking bathroom looks half finished. No toilet paper holders installed yet. The starter was friendly. The other players nice. But once was good enough for us. read more

First time here, signed up to play 9 since it was one of few that offered it in palm desert but we had such a nice time decided to stay for 18. Shorter course but very well maintained. Bunkers have actual sand and not packed dirt. Tight fairways and some challening holes but overall a reasonable level of difficulty. Pace of play excellent. Scenic mountain views. Not the lowest of the low in terms of cost but priced very well considering these factors compared to other places. The staff and other golfers were all extraordinarily nice. As a former professional musician I can say I was impressed with the entertainment and music that was presented. For such a small place at the bar, they really packed in the crowd-all very enthusiastic and danced all night The food ordering was very chaotic and consequently the orders for us were not correct but as inexpensive as it was- I let it pass. This was a great course! Just a couple of my buddies were in town this weekend. After a cancellation at another course because of the storm damage I was able to easily book this course. I was skeptical because I thought there would be damage still from the storm, but it was in really good shape! $25 bucks was a great price and an overall good day on the course! Really friendly staff, golf course has a vintage Tiki Palm Springs Village vibe. Highly recommend for golfers who want to experience vintage golf. However the fairways are tight in spots, close to houses which can be nerve wracking for golfers. Also on hole nine you tee off and hit across a street. Loved playing this course with my son, his best friend, and my best friend. The pro shop is super friendly. The facility is fantastic. The server ladies/girls inside of the clubhouse were super helpful getting us ice and drinks before we started digging divots, and they gave us a big ol' plate of fries and fry sauce at the end of our round while doing high dot finances. Course - it's great, go play it. Hit it straight, Stay away from the trees that or straight out of lord of the rings. If you lose your ball right or left, forget it it's gone. Shadow Mountian is awesome. The staff is super friendly and inviting, and the 'regulars' are too. They have a great little driving range where we spent time enjoying the phenomenal mountian views while hitting off the grass. On top of all that, my husband and I each took a 45 min private lesson with Matt Holm (PGA certified). His insightful instruction, relatable metaphors and personalized approach was unique and effective. He was fun and funny but also right down to business; determined to truly help each of us improve our game. We both learned a lot in a short time and even received follow up texts with notes, video and photos from Matt. Fantastic little course Is it perfect? No not really Is it PGA level? Again, no not really Is it a fun time for a good price? Yes absolutely. This course is perfect for beginner golfers who want to get out of LA or San Diego and play a relaxed, affordable round of golf. It's also perfect for college kids who like to go to Palm Springs for a little escape. Definitely has the potential to be a young (read respectable too) persons golf course. The staff there are excellent, the lady running the front counter is an absolute sweetheart of a person who was excited to share all the changes they're bringing to this course. In the pro shop there was an article that described how a new owner bought the course in August (?) 2021, and you can tell improvements are being made. I will be coming back the next time I'm in Palm Springs because it was a genuine breath of fresh air to play a nice course that I don't have to feel pressure on such as the PGA courses. read more
