Love this place. Just too quiet because the restaurant is closed. Would have been perfect. Employees are nice just likr the other properties. There is a "pool break" I don't know why. But it doesn't hurt to get out of the pool and have a break and go back again after 10 minutes. I enjoyed the pool because it wasn't as busy as the other property (Westin Rancho Mirage)

My grandkids always love going to shadow Ridge. The pool is always the proper temperatures in the snack bars and everything are always stocked.

With the warm September weather, I must admit I did enjoy playing this course. I would have liked to played from 6600 yards but because of the heat (and the heat from the last two days of golf) I decided to take it easy by playing from the 6200 yard tees. The course was in excellent condition with a few challenging spots to play around. The greens were perfectly mowed and the ball rolled true. From what I understand we got a nice discount on the green fees so that made it a worthwhile round. I did enjoy myself though I was huffing and puffing from the 15th hole onwards. I did redeem myself by hitting my tee shot on the 17th par 3 to about 3 feet from the pin. The staff and the girl driving the beverage cart were very nice and helped make it a fun outing. I bought a personalized medallion for $18 from the pro shop as a memento of my visit,

I can't believe we've never played golf here before. But our opportunity surfaced with UnderPar's voucher offer. Two players for $139 including golf cart & driving range. The pro shop is very friendly as is the starter. There were six of us today with tee time at 8:18 & 8:27. Fortunately they didn't add two singles. Start time & last name on the cart. The front nine is bunker city. The back nine has lots of water hazards. Greens are fast and fairways are very forgiving. Thanks Marriott for the golf special. We'll add Shadow Ridge to our growing list of golf courses to play at on our next golf getaway.

Clubhouse staff were helpful and grounds crew was never in the way, even on a Monday! Even had bev cart service! Course is absolutely phenomenal condition. Greens are true. Bring bug spray and watch for ants tho! Just stay out of the sand and don't near the water haha you'll be fine! Guaranteed to leave happy having played this awesome course! You may even replay...

If you are in the Palm Desert area to play golf, Marriott's Shadow Ridge Golf Course is an absolute MUST play. As comparable to any exclusive Private Course, Shadow Ridge is always in impeccable condition. The Nick Faldo layout is superb with unique elevation changes, doglegs left and right, many risk/reward holes, undulating greens, strategically placed bunkers, quite a few "carries" over sand or water (or both), and carpet like rolling fairways. Every staff member carries themselves in the utmost professional manner and makes every golfer and guest feel as if they are at their own personal golf club. If living in the area, Shadow Ridge has immensely- enriching and brilliantly gratifying membership opportunities that are enormous values. The unparalleled practice facilities allow golfers to practice every possible shot and putt. Pace of play is always fast and Shadow Ridge is also a remarkable club to have any group or private outings.

    Great driving range

I've played this course in the past and It's one of my favorites in the Coachella Valley. Located in the Shadow Ridge Vacation club - a Nick Faldo course which includes a immaculate practice facility and even offers half hour lessons to multiple day lessons at the Nick Faldo school of golf. I had a Saturday am tee time at 8:10 and teed off right on time. The course is challenging with deep sand traps, uneven fairway lies and several holes with water hazards. Greens here are like putting on glass fast and have plenty of undulation - which makes them so challenging. After your round head upstairs to the Faldo's Restaurant for lunch and cold beverage.

We love this beautiful golf course. It's well-maintained with thick turf and forgiving wide fairways. The masked staff is courteous and helpful. There is covered parking close-by to help shield your car from the baking hot sun. Water hazard is a challenge at several holes, e.g. 5, 9, 13 and 18. The more prominent features are the prevalent sand traps, many quite deep, flanking the greens and along the way. This is a great place to practice getting out of bunker shots, for inevitably you will end up in one (because of COVID, raking after is not necessary). Speaking of bunkers, we enjoyed the breakfast wraps served at the aptly-named Bunkers. We will definitely be back.

The course itself is demanding, lots of waste areas that you need to avoid. The conditions were good the day we played. The greens were excellent. I think that the clubhouse is under construction, along with other improvements. They were serving lunch and breakfast. Highly recommend the breakfast burrito. I would definitely come back and see how it develops.

We understood that we had to split into groups of four and three, and we did exactly that. At the first tee, we all hit our tee shots around the same time. Instead of politely reminding us of the course policy, the starter walked over very aggressively, began raising his voice, and repeatedly told us we needed to stay separated. He then started speaking in Spanish, which not everyone in our group understood, and kept asking us, "Do you understand?" in a very confrontational manner. We remained calm and respectful the entire time, but the way we were treated was completely unnecessary. Throughout the round, it felt like we were being followed and watched. The group of four ahead of us would occasionally slow down, so our group of three would catch up to say hello. Other times, we'd briefly gather at a tee box while waiting for the fairway to clear. We were never holding up play. In fact, when we noticed groups behind us, we even skipped holes at times to keep the pace moving. Despite this, the marshal repeatedly came over and aggressively told us to separate. Every interaction felt hostile rather than helpful. The final incident was the most disappointing. On the last hole, the course was nearly empty because of the heat. There was no one behind us, and we weren't delaying anyone. Yet the marshal drove up again, yelling that this was the "third time" he had warned us about being together. There was simply no reason for that level of aggression. I've played many golf courses over the years, and I've never experienced staff behaving this way. Course policies are understandable, but they should be enforced with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, the treatment we received from both the starter and the marshal completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable day with friends. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend SilverRock Golf Course.
