Used to enjoy coming to this place regularly. It is hard to find a good breakfast place. Service and food is not really that enjoyable upon recent visits. Aside from waiting to place my order, I never got a refill on my cup of coffee after it arrived, almost right when my food arrived. When I wanted that second cuppa coffee, the server was seen in the back hallway, rolling silverware with people getting sat in her section, waiting for Service. The hostess/maybe floor manager should've been working the floor to make sure the flow was moving nicely. As you see my photos at home, fries was burnt. I had a very disappointing visit at the Palm Diner this weekend. I asked for a grilled cheese with tomato. When it arrived, it had bacon on it. I stated I didn't ask for bacon and the server said "are you allergic"? I said "no, I don't eat meat". He took my dish and came back 10 minutes later asking if they can just take the bacon off"? I stated NO, I'm a vegetarian! I waited another 10 minutes for a half cooked grilled cheese with one piece of cheese and a sliver of tomato. Very upsetting.... read more

Decided to come for either late breakfast or early lunch. Son had a make your own omelette for his late breakfast. Whereas I had the Greek Salad for early lunch. The place was jumping. Coffee was served along with our feisty waitress. I felt like I was definitely in New York and I knew I was going to have a great time! We got our second cup of coffee in no time at all. Son loved his breakfast and I loved my salad and gyro meat and tzatziki dressing. Yassuo! An old school restaurant serving traditional Greek Diner Foods. Reminds me of all the Greek diners in New York that I grew up with . Happy, friendly and relaxing atmosphere. This is my favorite place to take out friends or just go by myself for brunch or dinner, whenever I visit Florida. I am writing this second review as I just had brunch the other day with a friend. The meat lover skillet was delicious! The food is flavorful and filling - generous portions. Amazingly, they keep their prices low, so that's a bonus! I need to note that the owner is a wonderful human being. He once went out of his way to help me start my rental car (see my other review). This time around, once again whom did I turn to when I exhausted my hybrid car battery in that shopping area ... well so happed the owner who ran this excellent service to community, was on the premises and took time from looking after his place to start up my car, determined to figure out a hybrid. This review is for the customer service, because I picked up lunch for someone else. I tried calling it in but the call kept dropping. I don't know if it was me or them, probably me. I placed my order for a cheeseburger, fries, matzoball soup, and a coke and got it in about 10 minutes. When the server handed it to me it was lopsided. He noticed this and grabbed the bag repackaged it and wiped everything down. Checked that the order was correct and asked if I wanted condiments. I said it wasn't for me, so he said we'd better give them some, and went to the kitchen to get them. He tried to refuse the tip at first. He was very friendly, not only to me but the other customers that came to the counter while I was waiting. Since the food was for my husband I sampled a few fries on the way home just to make sure he would like them. I don't know what they do to the fries, but they are AMAZING! Random stop before a movie. It is now a Greek place for the most part. Chicken pita was solid here with grilled chicken and tomatoes and onions in a folded pita bread. Side salad was included at $7.99. Lots of elderly around, but that's standard stuff. The chicken was not in strips, but cooked on flattop and had some grease, but nothing was bad at all. Shrimp salad was decent and fries were steak fries, frozen, but good quality. Lots of specials, so look on board outside before entering. read more

Typical Greek restaurant menu with many many choices. I order thee gyro that came with soup and salad. The masa ball soup I ordered started out a little salty, but then leveled out. Good hearty soup, but the masa ball could of had more tendency and flavor. The salad was fresh and enjoyable. The gyro was very good too. It had good flavor and there was plenty of meat.
