Chicken yellow rice bowl.
Patty W.

Shopping can make people hungry. We hit up Olive U on a break to recharge before hitting the next round of stores. The place is very clean and everything is made to order. I got the chicken lentil rice bowl topped with parsley and feta cheese. It was delicious and flavorful. The portion was enough to fulfil me for the rest of the day. The staff was very helpful with our orders and made our bowls how we wanted them. It costs more what we expected for the portions we received and we were underwhelmed by it. Eating healthy shouldn't come with a high price, but we have no control over it.

Happy to get a quick easy, fresh, reasonably priced & very flavorful dinner. There's plenty of free parking in front, this location is immaculate and the staff were very friendly. I love being able to make my own plate by choosing my own protein, and if I want it over rice, lettuce, pita, and my selection adding my favorite vegetables & sauces.

My first time in an Olive U. This fast food chain seems to be popping up in a lot of shopping centers. It offers bowls or wraps in pita with a Middle Eastern theme. You order at the counter. I tried the baba ghannooj. It was a decent sized serving, creamy and smokey. For my main, I had the Olive U chicken on a salad. The salad is a bed of greens with as many of the toppings as you want. On offer were pickled peppers, pickled cabbage, tomatoes, onions, olives, cucumber, and a variety of dressings. The ingredients were all fresh. The protein portion seemed skimpy. It also came with some warm pita slices. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. Beverages are Pepsi brand.

I have been wanting to try Olive U for a while and now that it's in one of my favorite shopping center with Whole Foods, Sephora and mister 01 I suggested we get to know this spot. They have a huge beautiful chandelier and it's a new location so very clean. I enjoyed what I got but I guess I am responsible for the choices I made when ordering and I ended up not having much food in my final plate and not satisfied. Their signs are not great. If hummus is my base I need more than one spoon. I also couldn't see the chicken in the plate. Other places give me way too much of the protein but this was not enough. The flavor was excellent. Their bases are the pita bread, rice, salad or hummus. Chopped salad, hummus, cut up pita are also toppings so you could add them. I don't think they allow you to add a little rice if you don't get it as a base but I couldn't hear anything the employee was saying. I chose hummus, chicken and then the toppings I liked. I didn't know I could get a side of pita, probably extra toppings of the ones I liked, grape leaf for a small fee, (on the board it's listed as appetizer for $6) At the end I got a half plate of food for $15. I was still hungry of course. She then handed me my tray with my bowl on it and the side of the tray was dirty with some green sauce and my white shirt got a huge green stain. If I would do it again. I would choose the rice or salad and add my protein chicken, toppings, extra hummus x 2 for a few, pita to share for a fee, and the dressings. That could be a full plate for $17. Plus tax tip.

The space was clean with plenty of seating, and the staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They gave me time to browse the menu without any rush, and were ready to take my order the moment I decided. I went with the Falafel and Eggplant Pita Wrap, ordered exactly as it comes -- five crispy handmade falafels, roasted eggplant, hummus, tomato and cucumber salad, purple cabbage slaw, white onions, tomatoes, pickles, and lemon tahini sauce. What I loved about the presentation was how they sliced the pita and stuffed the toppings inside the pocket, then placed the eggplant and falafel on the outside before wrapping everything up tightly. It made for a much easier, cleaner eat -- no toppings tumbling out with every bite! My first bite was amazing. The fresh flavors really shined, the falafels were perfectly crispy, and the eggplant had that deep, savory roasted flavor. Every topping complemented the others beautifully, and I walked away completely satisfied. I am so happy I found this fast and healthy option close by! I also grabbed a baklava and a mango sparkling probiotic drink -- both delicious. Beyond the food, they have soft drinks, tea, and lemonade, plus a sauce bar with vinegar and oil if you want to customize your meal even further. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. I can't wait to come back and try their other menu options!

There is a free parking in front along with a steady stream of pick up traffic. The menu offers extensive Greek dishes with servers being very quick & efficient. Portions at Chris' Taverna are enormous. One plate is enough for more than enough for 2 of us to share. The restaurant is casual, reservations are not accepted, it's first come & first serve. Tonight six of us met here for dinner. We arrived before 6:00 and waited only a few minutes for a table. When we left there was a line outside. When we were seated we were given water & a garlic spread with warm fresh pita. We all shared babaganosh & generous delicious dips. My husband & I shared a gyro salad with lots of grilled lamb, more than enough for us both. Others enjoyed greek chicken salad, shrimp with pasta, and spanakopita. Everyone brought leftovers home, enough for a few meals. Happily we weren't rushed.

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying without feeling too heavy. First of all, the portions were HUGE. There was so much food. It was perfect to order a couple dishes to share between us. But the real star of the show was the tzatziki. Phenomenal. I genuinely wanted to eat it with a spoon. Creamy, garlicky, perfectly balanced 10/10. The salad was just what I wanted after sitting in the sun all morning. Crisp, refreshing , and not an afterthought like it can be at some places. Every bite felt fresh and well-seasoned. To be honest, I did use the tzatziki and salad dressing instead of the provided salad dressing. And the gyro wrap with garlic fries? Easily one of the best gyros I've had in a while. The meat was flavorful and tender, the wrap was perfectly put together, and those garlic fries were the ideal salty, crispy side. This spot is definitely getting added to the pool day lunch rotation.

I typically like to seat at the bar, but rest assured there are plenty of tables inside as well so you can truly choose. This location has started to get busier and busier and there's a valid reason for it! But I've yet to see it fully packed, so you probably don't need a reservation. This was my first visit and my first time trying them, and I was impressed by how many options they offer. The customization is extensive without feeling overwhelming, and everything looked fresh and well maintained. I went with the falafel bowl, built over rice and lettuce, and one standout detail was that they offered three different rice options. I chose the lentil rice, which had excellent flavor and added a nice depth to the bowl. All of the toppings, condiments, and add-ons tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The falafel itself was satisfying, and the overall meal felt balanced--filling without being heavy. It gave that ideal healthy, energized feeling rather than leaving me sluggish afterward. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself was very clean, which always matters in a fast-casual setting, and the service stood out. The staff was welcoming, and the manager came by our table several times to check in and make sure everything was going well, which added a personal touch that you don't always get in this style of restaurant. Overall, a very solid first experience. Fresh food, strong service, clean environment, and plenty of options. There are several different types of proteins, and as a pesco-vegetarian, I was pleased to see tofu as an option. There's falafel too! (The tofu was well seasoned and not bland little cubes of food.) You can do a bed of greens, pita, hummus, or rice as your base. I went with the rice which was deliciously seasoned, though (spoiler alert!) next time I might go with hummus. There are many fresh herbs options for toppings, including spices and sauces. All the vegetables were crispy, and the portions were generous. The price point is fair and what you would expect to see at similar restaurants. I wish Olive U were closer to my home, because it's a great fresh option if you're looking for a quick take-home meal as well. And brought guests constantly . The food was always well prepared and at a reasonable price. The owner was always very friendly. BUT I will never again go back to Sofra after my experience last night. Last night I went with a couple of people that I had raved about this restaurant to. The owner, who certainly must've recognized me from the countless times I've eaten there in five years, barely grunted at me and the vibes I got from him were not very welcoming. He seemed really angry about something and was taking it out on his customers. There was only one other table that had customers and this was a Friday night. I found that really odd because other restaurants surrounding Sofra had lots of people sitting outside eating at their restaurants I ordered a falafel plate and others at our table ordered the İskender and another entrée. I practically passed out when I got the bill because I guess I didn't check the prices when I was ordering. The falafel plate, which was basically a spoonful of salad, a spoonful of rice, a few hard burned falafel, soup and a dribbling of tahini was $33. This is obscene. When this restaurant first opened they were charging for the same plate $15 and then they went to $25 after a few years which I thought was pretty high for the food we were getting but $33 is just plain greedy. I won't even do a review on the other two entrées because my party could barely eat them. I now see why there was nobody, literally nobody in this restaurant on a Friday night. And the owner, what happened to him? he used to be such a friendly guy and now he is just an angry man. The waitress never went back to check on us and refill our water after taking our order. Despite only two tables with customers in this restaurant. I read some of the reviews where owner says he hates the fucking country so why doesn't he just leave? There's plenty of really good Mediterranean restaurants that are not going to charge this kind of money for Mediterranean food. Even if the felafel was the best falafel I've ever eaten in my entire life - $33 is crazy. And it was not very good felafel - in fact all the food is mediocre. Where it once was amazing. So my suggestion to the owner is to lower his prices, improve the quality of his food and improve his attitude
