My husband and I consider ourselves sandwich connoisseurs, and we honestly can't believe we don't come here more often. I usually order a simple turkey and cheese, but this time I went with the Super Bird (plus onions) and was in absolute heaven. My husband ordered the Fuggedaboutit, and we were both blown away. This time my friend and I tried "The Dean" and the "Fuggedaboutit" The Dean is a massive cold chicken Waldorf like sandwhich it's a Chicken Salad Mixture with Roasted Shredded Chicken, Celery, Fresh Dill, Mayo, Dried Cranberries, Slivered Almonds, Fresh Grapes, Mayo, Red Onions, Parsley), Provolone Cheese, Mayo, Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, Salt, Pepper, Oregano on a sub roll. They have 2 sizes a 6" or a 12"! I got the 6" for reference. The Fugeddaboutit is a Fire roasted chicken thigh, sun dried tomatoes, Asiago Cheese, house-made red pesto mayo, garlic aioli on Telera Bread. Think of a huge panini! It can get really messy so it's more of a sit down sandwich. I ordered online to do a pick up and it was a quick and easy process. Absolutely delicious chicken Caesar salad wrap. Everything was fresh from the wrap to the lettuce. The salad was tossed with the perfect amount of dressing before wrapped and then grilled. The chicken pieces were moist and had a nice seasoning. My only critique is - no croutons! Adding a crunch would really elevate this wrap but I won't knock points off for the lack of crunch. My sister told me this was her favorite sandwich spot, so I figured I had to check it out. This mini market is close to, but NOT IN the Orange Circle. It's located in the middle of the residential neighborhood. There was plenty of street parking, but that might be because I went while the university was on break, so I'm not sure how busy it usually gets. Inside, there are two self-service kiosks where you place your sandwich order, then a sign directing you to pay at the register on the left. After that, you wait for your sandwich by the deli on the right. As a first-timer, the process was pretty easy to figure out. While waiting, I noticed the market has a great selection of chips, craft beer, and wine. There were also a lot of snacks that you wouldn't usually see at a typical corner store. I ordered the Fricken Chicken, which is a chicken salad sandwich on sourdough and what my sister recommended. Normally I don't mind generous portions, but this one felt like it was exploding out of the bread and got pretty messy. I think a different type of bread might've helped keep everything contained and less soggy. Despite that, I liked that it was warm and toasted. The chicken salad was very flavorful and well seasoned, and there was a lot of it. I like fresh grapes, but the texture threw me off and I'm not sure if it belongs, especially since they were cut in halves. Overall, it was a pretty decent sandwich, but I'm not sure it's my favorite. I'll definitely be back to try the other sandwiches on the menu and pick up craft beer to go. read more

I've spent a lot of time in Orange, but I can't believe no one has steered me towards Palm Market. I'm always in search of a good sandwich, so I headed right over on my day off. There was 2 kiosks where you could order from the deli. I picked up a massive sandwich for about $21. I couldn't even finish it for lunch. It made a great dinner too. This place is truly a gem. I ordered 6" in the block and my friend order the tur-Della and we went halfsies. The block sandwich is filled with roast beef and pairs perfectly with the sauce. They're also not stingy with the meat proportions. You walk in and order at the little iPads and then pay at the cash register. Elijah, one of the staff members was there and he was really nice & informative. The deli is located inside what looks like a convenience store. I came here with my bf because I saw a reel on IG about their chicken Cesar wrap. I'm glad the girl on reel didn't gate keep because the wrap was great. I wish I didn't add the extra vinegar and olive oil, it would have been better without it. My bf got the chicken sandwich with sun-dried tomatoes in it. Super close to the Orange Circle but not inside the circle so we didn't have to worry about parking and walking far to get some good food. Was looking for a good deli sandwich and came upon the Palm Market & Deli. To start, the young lady behind the counter was more than hospitable and great service can make everything all that much better. However with the sandwich speaking for itself, the bread was moist and fresh. I believe they use Boar's Head meats and it was not a disappointment as the portions were grand. What a find! I can't believe we've lived in the Orange area for 25 years and never visited The Palm Market & Deli. What a gem! This is a Family run market and deli that dates back more than 100 years! They have hot and cold freshly made deli sandwiches, a great selection of sodas and waters, including my current fave "Olipop"(all flavors!!!), and a nice selection of chips and other sundries. They have one wall of coolers dedicated to beers and I was excited to see a great selection of local microbrews including Noble Ale and Lost Abbey among others! As for the sandwiches, they're HUGE and stuffed! My wife ordered The Freshman with Ham, Turkey, Bacon, Cheese on Sourdough. It was excellent and very tasty. I had the Super Bird, which is a hot Turkey with cheese, goat cheese, arugula and raspberry jam. It tastes like thanksgiving. Absolutely delicious! I found this location after someone gave it a shout out on Reddit r/orangecounty. As someone who lives 10 minutes away, I don't think I would have ran into this location without it being recommended. It's tucked away in the neighborhood. The ordering system for the deli is super simple, a walk up kiosk. You get your receipt for the order and pick up a few snacks before you pay. I ordered two sandwiches and within less than 10 minutes I was at the door. Had a nice interaction with the owner I believe. Super sweet and made me appreciate the place more. We bonded over being from the IE. The outside patio and tables were adorable as well! I'll choose to eat there next time. These sandwiches were amazing. I ordered The Block, a roast beef. The Gorgonzola aioli was soooo good. It wasn't overpowering just a great balance. I ordered my husband Its A Jersey Thing and it's by far one of the biggest sandwiches we have ever seen. It actually fed him for lunch, dinner and lunch the next day. Totally recommend this sandwich. It was absolutely great. After grabbing two chips, two drinks and the two sandwiches it was about 45 bucks. A little steeper than I'd prefer to pay. The 12" society sub hit all the right feels, the club wrap was equally delicious, and the staff was an absolute pleasure. It's important to note that the these subs are enormous, and a 12" sub could easily feed 2 individuals, or if you're a big back... go ham (pun intended). Parking in the neighborhood can be confusing cause some spots requires permits. I got a large Italian. 19.50 but it was huge. Two of us didn't even finish it. Deli and veggies super fresh. The bread could be better I think. The sandwiches are excellent, made fresh and serving sizes won't leave you hungry.
