Well now with kids and a family I only get that opportunity once in awhile. So when I saw that there was a new food court opening back up where sharpstown mall/plaza americas with a playground for the kids it gave me an excuse to check it out. I must say it's been years since I stepped inside this mall. This renovation has hopes of bringing people back in. They have a small playground for kids and good selection of new restaurants in this food hall. For their grand opening they have music and entertainment as well. I'll be back just sample more of food. Also there is a new pickleball facility on site as well.

There used to be a different restaurant in here but now it's called Sun Wing Food court. So what's so special? Here's the kicker, if you don't already know the live and fresh seafood here is cheap. If you're in the mood for shellfish like lobster, crab, clams, fish etc. buy your creature of choice, pay for it and show the restaurant your recipe. Look at the menu and see how you would like to cook up your food and pay for the price of the cooked food. $7/item. Steamed salt and pepper, or ginger with scallions whatever your pleasure they will make it for you in a matter of minutes. Don't plan on getting a drink? No problem, they have complimentary hot tea and rice. Dine in or have it to go. I've even seen folks bring their own alcohol and enjoy it with their meal. Mind you they close at 8pm everyday so plan your party accordingly. I've noticed a lot of folks complaining about the rudeness of the staff. They come off as brash but they are very personal and humorous. They may not understand you and their English is decent enough to take your order.

It's didn't like the flies that were flying around our food. There are large tables for dine-in customers. I will definitely return to try other items. They can also cook fresh seafood for $7 from the seafood department. *I went there again and ordered dishes for to go. I tried the cold chick with ginger scallion sauce, and pork belly with preserved vegetables. They are not good. T
