The food here was really good! That pancake.....OMG best Ive ever had! Service was friendly, and the place is super cute! I would have never found it though! My grandson searched it up on google as we were traveling from Galveston! So glad we did

Came here on a Saturday at noon during Houston restaurant week and it was not super busy! For $25 + tax & tip I got a deviled egg with a fried shrimp and some sort of sauce with brisket or something idk but it was yummy, my second course was the fried fish and grits, I enjoyed the fried catfish but idk the grits were not my type. For dessert I got the s'mores waffle it tastes like eating a funnel cake! Very sweet very delicious! The presentation of each dish was also wonderful! My friend got a omlete with house potatoes and she also got a strawberry spinach salad. It was a drive out there for us I hadn't been to the mall of the mainland since all of it changed but the food was good and reasonably priced! Service was attentive ! I'd come back

Loaded Hash-a lil better than ok...

It's my second time here and I wanted brunch. The potato hash was slightly better than ok, maybe it was the jalapeños I added. I was hoping for bacon and I do believe this was bacon bits as another yelper mentioned. I also added some spices which also helped.

My nieces favorite place especially because of thier beignets. The location is great and welcoming, spacious and family friendly. They have a great breakfast menu. My family and I went with the a more traditional plate. The big Texas, egg, bacon, biscuit and potatoes. I'd say The plates are shareable! The service was very welcoming and attentive. Definitely enjoyed dining here.

The food was amazing. Wish I was able to taste the beignets. The service was also good. Our waiter was informative. The ambiance was welcoming and inviting.

We decided last minute to have Brunch and we were able to get a reservation. It took a few minutes for someone to speak to us at the desk to get us seated. Service was good but a little slow however there were people filling in the gaps as our server was busy. We ordered the deviled eggs with shrimp on top as a starter to share and they were delish, we also ordered the hash and it was delicious. I ordered the shrimp and avocado wrap and opted for a side salad which was a nice size, this wrap was yummy! One of us ordered the crab-cake dinner and we all tasted it, was delish! One ordered the shrimp tacos she said they were good. The bathroom was nice and clean, the aesthetics of the restaurant pleasant. The downside is it was HOT in there. We will definitely go again especially for the crab cake dinner which we will probably all order! We also had some tasty cocktails, I had a watermelon martini and they had the flight of mimosas.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat for a birthday lunch. Restaurant closes around 2pm on weekdays. Great drink and food selections. Restaurant is very clean. Our server was great, very kind and attentive. I had the fried green tomato BLT with fries, my companion had a cheese burger with fruit. Both dishes were great and large portion sizes.

Food is AMAZING !!! Insanely friendly staff who's willing to go above and beyond for the patrons who come in ! Shout out to Carson our amazing waiter and Chris the assistant manager who came and asked how our food was himself , loved that a lot. Great little hole in the wall place!! If I lived in Texas city I would be a regular here.

We searched just a little to find this place because it's nestled in what appears to be a previous shopping mall, surrounded by office space.with a few other restaurants right in a row. Let's just jump straight to the food: Banana Foster French Toast: 10/10 pure & simple, just wonderful. Comes with Banana foster sauce on it instead of side syrup Smoked sausage side: 10/10. Slightly spicy full of flavor Corn Grits: 7.5/10. Taste & general consistency was very good but they had lumps. Crab Cake Benny: 10/10. All the favors worked well together. I'm not a big bacon lover but if you are it adds a nice dimension to this dish. You get bacon in every bite since it's crumbled with the spinach. If you are a Bloody Mary drinker they have a nice concept of make your own where you use a checklist to identify all the items you want in your Bloody Mary. I don't drink them but see my posted pic for the checklist. The place is "cute" inside, fairly small. It was pretty empty when I was there no issue with service as others have mentioned. I would definitely return here.

Yummy little gem! Service was great, food was yum, and the place is so cute! We tried to deviled eggs with shrimp, the breakfast fries, and regular french toast! Everything was yummy!!

I'm giving it a 3 star because well the restaurant was nice and comfortable. We were the first ones in and our order took over 40 minutes.. at the end our bill was over $50 plus tip something that I thought was too expensive for breakfast. We did not order any alcohol. Pro: after waiting several minutes for like 10 minutes, the waitress came out, apologized, told us our food would be delayed. So we had the beignets with the wild berries; one plate of the creole omelette, one plate of the southerner, and 2 cups of coffee. Too expensive.

    Seating area

My maps took me around the mall and I couldn't find the restaurant. As I was walking around near Stuttgarts, I asked an employee to guide me there. Since it was raining, he took me through the kitchen so I didn't have to go back outside and get wet. Once inside, service was attentive, food was delicious and beautifully presented. The green "living" wall was a great touch for ambiance and the music was mellow and soft enough to enjoy conversation along with environment. Very happy with all choices.

The steak was tender and cooked right but had more fat than usually found in this cut. My sides were awful. The baked potato (which was loaded, minus chives) had tons of cheese on it, not in a good way and that's it! The potato was hard with a weird texture. It was not like a nice hot fluffy potato should be. I ordered sautéed mushrooms to go on my steak and never have I tasted anything this bad. It tasted like burnt, dirty, greasy grill. I couldn't eat either the mushrooms or potato. My side salad, was lousy, a 7 year old could have done a better job. I didn't dine in so I can't attest to how that is but for $33.00 for just one meal, I was extremely disappointed. So many places are not upholding the good ole, "make good food, make return customers" and Gators unfortunately is one of them. If you don't make consistently good food, expect to lose customers. There are way too many other options. I highly doubt I'll ever eat here again.

The servers were more worried about snacking and gossiping than doing their jobs. The fact no one was here and they were this slow is pitiful. While the server was nice to wait that much to order was annoying. The restaurant itself self is clean but the bathrooms were not. The food was good- the shrimp gumbo was delicious but the shrimp were so big you had to take em out to cut them to enjoy- but that's not a problem. The crawfish was meh- no flavor-but nice size and garlic butter helped. The chicken wrap was good and plentiful. Overall not my first choice when we come into town. Hopefully they can fix staffing and being more timely!

They had our table already prepared which was fantastic, but the restaurant was slow and not very busy. We could've just walked in and, other than having to wait for them to prepare our table, been seated right away. Our waitress, Moriah, was fantastic! She had tables on opposite sides of the restaurant, but since they weren't very busy it didn't seem to be an issue. There were a couple of times when we had to ask for drink refills, but it wasn't horrible. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good, and I appreciate that they have some options that you wouldn't find just anywhere. That's the kind of thing I look for in a restaurant. However there were a few places where they fell short. 1. There was no kids menu. This may not be a big deal for a lot of people. It wasn't a big deal for me since my toddler eats pretty much anything, so we shared. It WAS however a big deal for my 6 year-old niece who does NOT eat anything. They told my sister that they could make some butter noodles or take the harissa off of a pizza and make it a smaller size for her. She opted for the butter noodles which were bland and unseasoned. Then they have no salt or pepper on the tables so she couldn't even season them until she asked for some. It helped, but they still weren't very good. 2. The food is overpriced. It's good food, but the prices were a little steep compared to the quality. My sister and I discussed this later and we both had the same thought. We didn't understand why they weren't busy because they had the potential to be, and it just felt like they maybe were trying TOO hard. I would go back, but this wouldn't be a regular choice for me. I'd be happy to go if someone chose this as an option, and I might even choose to go back for a date night or something. I like the atmosphere of the place as well as how open it felt... I don't love a crowded space. Another thing I loved was the Smoked Caramel Bread Pudding. I'm surprised I liked it so much because I don't typically love added smoke flavor, but this worked! Listen, I LOVE bread pudding. If there's ever bread pudding on the menu, I'm going to get it. This being my birthday dinner dessert was absolutely fine by me. The edges were a little caramelized and it was absolutely delicious and everyone who tried it agreed. Give this place a try, but just know that you may pay a little more than what it's worth. It's still tasty food though! Also... try the bread pudding!

Our dining experience here was extremely disappointing from start to finish…read more First, our group was seated at a booth clearly meant for six people at most. Instead of properly accommodating our party, staff placed a folding chair at the end of the booth, leaving almost no room for anyone to eat comfortably. The food quality was also poor. The chili was almost entirely liquid and had very little cheese or onions. Service throughout the meal was disorganized. The server did not bring the kids' meals out with the first wave of food, which meant the children were waiting while others were served. She also seemed unsure of what dishes she was delivering and repeatedly handed out plates without knowing what they were. To make matters worse, she spoke so quietly that we couldn't hear her over the restaurant noise. When we asked her to speak louder, she just stared at us as if we were supposed to remember every item we ordered and identify each plate ourselves. A major mistake happened with the steaks. My 8 oz New York Strip was given to someone else at the table and the server told them it was their 8 oz sirloin. My sides arrived with the first wave of food, but my steak didn't arrive until the third wave -- and it was a 6 oz sirloin instead of the 8 oz sirloin we ordered. That's when we realized the New York Strip that had already been partially eaten by someone else was actually my steak. One of the kids' meals wasn't brought out with the first, second, or third wave of food. We eventually had to request it because it seemed like it had simply been forgotten. Our drinks were empty for much of the meal, and we had to ask more than twice for refills before getting them. When we asked for boxes for leftovers, we had to request them multiple times. We were also told there were no bags for the to-go boxes until we pointed out that the table next to us had just been given one. Suddenly bags were available. All of these issues were brought to the staff's attention during the meal, and a manager was eventually called to the table. Unfortunately, the only resolution offered was adjusting the bill from the 8 oz sirloin we ordered to the 6 oz sirloin that was mistakenly delivered. Between the poor seating arrangement, incorrect food delivery, slow and disorganized service, and the lack of a meaningful response from management, the overall experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing.
