Palm Tree market never disappoints. Today was my first time in their NoLibs location, which is about twice the size of their other markets. Ordering at the deli counter was quick and easy, and by the time I grabbed a couple snacks and headed to the register, my wrap was already ready. I love that each location offers very consistent products. The deli meats and salads are always fresh and delicious, and the employees are always friendly. You also cannot beat the snack options. I'm amazed by how much they manage to stock in these stores! Don't sleep on the cold cases, which have a nice variety of fresh fruits, veggies, cheese and other staples. The fresh cut fruit is always delicious year-round. I'm not a big fruit person but even I can get on board when Palm Tree does all the work of chopping it up for me! read more

I just moved across the street. This place has the best sandwiches in philly. That's a bold statement, I know. But they consider ratio. Perfect amount of sauce/cheese/meat. They've got a great selection of other convenience store items as well but the deli is the real star. Obsessed with Palm Tree and so so sad I don't have one within walking distance! (They will, however, deliver to your house until 4 PM). This is the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to grab a quick lunch--especially because I am vegetarian and he loves meat. I always get the vegetarian chicken salad or vegetarian chicken cheese steak. Both are v cheap for a veg sandwich in the city (we're talking six bucks). I am SO happy that Palm Tree is in the neighborhood and replaced Gaetano's. The deli is fantastic. Clean, fast, and tasty - there are so many choices on the menu for breakfast and lunch, and they use Boar's Head deli meats. The market boasts other hunger necessities, from your basics like bread and butter, to the gourmet and specialty, like pita chips, coconut water, and Kinder chocolates. Sorry to even have to report this but if you don't like your job why work there because no amount of money is worth your happiness so I say this to say this been my little go to spot for the summer to get a nice sandwich but today was the worst ever a mouse dropping fell out as I was opening it and about to eat so I take it back and the young ladie try's to tell me it was lettuces ‍‍ so they make another and it's clear that the guy doesn't even want to be at work because he normally has on glasses but now he doesn't so he just throws anything on the sandwich so I opened it this time before I get all the way back to work and be dissatisfied again so I just got my money back and so be it I guess they just lost a customer and they aren't the only ones Ricci's, and gooey louie's all can keep your Nasty employees who take their attitudes out on the customer but kiss the owner a$$ when it should be the other way around read more

Never busy, but they are always smiling in there. They have La Colombe coffee, a number of hard to find grocery items (like Wink ice cream!), lots of healthy snacks, and even produce. They are open until 10, and will deliver. I have not had any of their sandwiches, but I have friends who live a few blocks away that order delivery from here - they can't walk 7 blocks to get their sandwich, they opt for delivery. This blows my mind, but it is more telling of the addictive potential of Palm Gourmet. You've been warned. read more

A Queen Village gem because of the absolute friendliest staff, excellent selection of products (fresh and pantry items) and of course, their deli! They make all kinds of sandwiches, including very reasonable breakfast sandwiches, and you can get sliced lunch meat too. I've found myself running over here when in desperate need for an ingredient, or stopping by for a snack when leisurely out walking my dog. The service is always fast and friendly. read more

The deli is great - quick, clean, delicious, and offers many different options for wraps, paninis, hoagies, and salads. The store has a lot of different offerings for food as well. I usually start cooking at home and then think to myself "this dinner would be better with.... (insert random ingredient here)..." and pop over to the deli and find exactly what I'm looking for - assorted cheeses, spices, veggies, fruits, soups, sushi, yogurt, hummus, chips, crackers, ice cream, cookies, etc. They also carry a lot of organic products, healthier chips like lentil chips, pop corners, etc. A really, really big variety of food for a small corner shop and deli. The staff is super friendly and recognize me, my husband, and my room mate and great us by our first name when we walk in (and we never go together). Following an extensive renovation of the old Gaetano's Italian Deli space (poor previous owners had an SUV come right through the front door) the recently opened Palm Tree Gourmet brings excellent gourmet and specialty foods, deli sandwiches and more. They're the same folks from Palm Tree Market in NoLibs. I love the selection of prepared foods, Kinder candy (sup Happy Hippo!) and specialty pasta and snacks -- better than the little bodega by my house, cheaper than the hipster vegan grocery, but closer than SuperFresh. The deli has sandwiches, half a dozen vegetarian picks, plus some appealing paninis. All in all, a welcome addition to the neighborhood. read more

I can't tell you how much we love this place! Within two blocks of our house there are three convenience stores/delis, and neither of the other two even compare. In addition to having pretty much everything you could need in terms of snacks and toiletries (the usual quick store fare), their made-to-order hoagies, salads and sandwiches are among the best we've had in the city. There are choices for any dietary restriction. The vegetarian hoagie is excellent! Perfect bread, fresh avocados and sprouts, and you never have to wait more than five minutes for anything. The best feature at the Palm Tree is that they cater to everyone. They carry the standard products like coke and Hershey, but even in the small space they have a huge selection of organic and all natural products that you usually have to trudge up to whole foods or a specialty market to find. The staff is unbelievably friendly, the place is always spotless, and everything is more than reasonably priced ($4-$7 for a sandwich or salad), especially for the quality of food you are getting. read more

They have healthy options for everything from canned goods to the sandwiches they make. The prices are very fair and I don't ever feel like I'm getting ripped off in order to have the quality things. Fresh produce, though pricey, is a great option. They also have a pretty huge cheese case, sell tofu and a ton of canned and snacky type items in addition to fresh coffee, pastries and a huge candy/chocolate section. Discovered this little Gem a few months ago. I was so happy they carry Boars Head products. I've bought many sandwiches and also deli meat and cheese by the pound. You can call in your order which makes it easy in the morning. read more

Food is alright however they NEVER get the order correct, they OVERCHARGE for the same sandwich I get every time and do not honor their own prices (prices are already high), they NICKEL AND DIME you for every little thing (I asked for a paper cup - nothing in it - and they wanted to charge me 50 cents) keep in mind I am a regular at this shop and they had just swiped my CC that is all I had on me. That is just ridiculous to me that they would not give a regular shopper a courtesy cup. Also, their shelf products are more often than not damaged and the response is "oh well". I would NOT recommend this shop to my friend and I will NOT be going back. They lost a good customer over 50 cents and product value. There are many other great markets/corner stores around the block that are much better like FOOD & FRIENDS or FOUR SEASONS MARKET that offer better products and service (with indoor seating!) read more
