    Mocha

I went here looking for their ancho chili hot chocolate but they don't have it anymore. Instead they had a few seasonal drinks. I opted for their mocha which had a nice consistency and a good balance of coffee and chocolate. The server had a pleasant demeanor and asked if we wanted mugs or to go cups so +1 for that. Not everyone asks that and I really appreciate those who do because I love having my coffee in a proper mug. Their ambiance is decorated with a variety of plants and felt really homely. Their food menu looked super extensive with lots of options - mostly sandwiches and melts. Maybe next time I'll try something to eat as well.

Red hook Red Hook is a pleasant departure from the expected. The menu doesn't veer too far from your normal selections in a typical coffee shop. However, the moody, eclectic and warm environment is the standout. FOOD During my visit I opted to grab the honey vanilla latte. To be honest, it was decent with gentle notes of honey. The vanilla wasn't readily apparent. I would suggest nabbing another choice if you're looking for something with a bit more "punch" in a flavor profile. ENVIRONMENT I stayed inside for a little over 30 minutes just to take in the decor and I must admit there's a lot to take in. For example in the bathroom, (see attached images)there's a pair of antlers cradling the toilet paper directly in contrast to a photo of The Beetles. There's a fair amount of local art for sale along the walls of various styles and types. This coffee shop is a perfect semblance of the phrase "come as you are" because in my 30 or so minutes of visiting I found myself at ease. Happy sips!

Bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel

I am not exaggerating when I say this was probably THE BEST bacon egg and cheese bagel I've ever had! 10/10 would recommend! Instead of using strips of bacon, they cut the meat into little pieces and scrambled it in with the eggs. The eggs were so fluffy. I had an everything bagel and the saltiness from the bagel plus the sweetness from the bacon and creaminess of the eggs made for such a burst of flavor in my mouth. I stumbled upon this place on an early Saturday morning when literally every where else was closed. The inside of the shop is so cute and cozy. Has a rustic feel. The workers were super friendly. Service was quick. Would definitely go back here again.

Made a special trip to this new-to-me spot in QV and really enjoyed my time! Had a 3 star experience during my visit, but I think we caught the staff here on an off day and that it isn't normally as chaotic as what we experienced. It was President's Day so lots of folks were off and looking for their coffee / sandwich fix. I will go back during a less hectic time and hope to update! A few things to note: + Music in here is a little too loud to work or study, for my taste. + Go early if you want something specific. Most bagels were out of stock by the time I ordered, and I ordered a sesame but still got served a whole wheat that was...a little suspect and not my first choice. Super dry (though the sandwich itself was bomb) and would have been nice to be alerted that what they told me they had available they did, in fact, have available. + Staff could not keep up with the orders that were coming in and it lead to a really unpleasant ordering experience. The team here was part gossiping, part taking phone orders, part handling incoming online tickets, and part taking our orders. I had some questions about the menu that ultimately weren't answered but a good lesson for myself to come better prepared next time! + The cold brew here was either way oversteeped or whatever beans they use are simply not too my taste. I LOVE a strong and bold cold brew, but this packed a punch to the point of being really unpleasant. Even when my partner diluted with milk it was more or less undrinkable and we ended up tossing it. All that being said, the sandwiches are phenomenal! My boyfriend had a breakfast burrito that was one of the best he's had and my BEC was jam-packed with goodness and Heinz ketchup was readily available - which I always appreciate. The side of potato salad is a nice touch and really good as well. I am looking forward to a return trip next time I find myself bopping around QV!

My bf, his sister, and I ordered some light bites and got our caffeine fix before we went thrifting around the area. The food menu is pretty normal, but the seasonal drinks seems interesting. I ended up settling for a lox bagel and drip coffee. The bagel was a mouth-full, so I ate the top and bottom half separately. There's literally a centimeter-thick slab of cream cheese with thick cucumber slices that is way too excessive for a lox bagel. It wasn't particularly enjoyable since the proportions were off. However, the coffee was just right, and I did enjoy the ambiance. With comfortable seating and interesting art on the wall, I felt at home in an unfamiliar cafe.

    Seasonal lattes and egg sandwiches

Killer playlist, awesome service, chill atmosphere. The seasonal flavor coffee was excellent (tried both Maple Rosemary and the Sea Salat Caramel). I got the Shades of Egg bc other Yelpers recommended- it did not disappoint! It was nice they made without cheese for me. Hubby got the Breakfast of Champi-Eggs and was over the moon with every bite. Really loved the local art displayed/ for sale. Will be coming back while in town for sure!

Breakfast sandwich comes with potato salad

Such a surprise for my first time at Red Hook. This is a very cozy spot, there is seating but not that many tables for groups bigger than 2. I ordered the peach breakfast sandwich on ciabatta and it came with a small side of potato salad. The sandwich was delicious, well seasoned, with a delightful sweetness from the peach jam. The veggie sausage was really good, I was surprised as a meat lover. The potato salad was full of non traditional bits like chick peas. I thought the seasoning on the potato salad was perfect to offset against the sandwich, but could have done without all the extra ingredients. The food came out quickly, the service was kind, and there looked to be plenty of street parking on a Sunday morning as well which is always nice. There are a couple small tables outside if the weather is nice.

Cozy eclectic space. Mugs on the shelf are for sale!

Friendly staff and cozy cafe where it's not too loud or crowded. Oldies playing all kinds of plants and things on the walls to look it. So many menu options too, they cater to vegans and vegetarians really well! Choose your sandwich, bread, and side. Lots of fixings, check out their online menu. I had a hummus wrap with sliced pears on the side, came out quick during lunch while they worked on takeout orders. I'm glad someone recommended Red Hook to me, would def come back.

    Red Hook & a latte

This funky cafe serves really good food and coffee in Queen Village. I ordered an iced latte and a Red Hook sandwich for breakfast. I was famished and the sandwich was so big that even I couldn't finish it, despite how delicious it was. Latte was good too. Staff was friendly and it's a cute place. I look forward to returning.

vegan chicken salad on multigrain with a side of potato salad
    Allie R.

possibly my fave coffee shop in the city!! lattes are great, i typically get the spicy ginger chai latte (so so so good). tons of vegan and vegetarian options- i go for the vegan chicken salad on multigrain. comes with a side of potato salad which is so good that i find myself craving it. food and drinks always come out quick, too. fantastic vibes inside- so cozy with a lot of seating. i wish all cafes felt like this instead of the modern trend i see in new coffee shops. brick walls with a bunch of window seating and a ton of local art on the walls. i literally go all the way to queen village just to go here- highly recommend!!!

The space itself is huge and very clean, with plenty of tables and seating, so it was easy for everyone to spread out, settle in, and enjoy themselves without feeling packed in. A major point in its favour is the setup for watching sports. They have a massive wall of TV screens, plus more TVs throughout the space, which made it very easy to keep up with multiple games at once. No awkward craning for a view, no fighting for the one good seat, just a very solid setup for a group outing.
