They are patient and courteous, and they put up with a bunch of bullshit from some stupid asswholes. Some members of the public need to shut the fuck up. Anyhow I got my paperwork, my reports, etc. Similar paperwork in Kern county is quite a bit cheaper though. They seem like a squared away bunch of workers. EDIT: An explanation of why my comment above came about. While I was there either at the counter or waiting our turn, two separate people, (people who came into this place because they needed help) were cursing at the officer and calling them the devil. I don't see how someone can come into someone else's "house" seeking help and then be such an asswhole to the very people who are trying to and are tasked with helping them. At the time and place that a visit takes place here, this is not the cop who has pulled you over and is about to ruin your day. Give these guys a break!

Taking reports is the bare minimum, and this department can't even do that consistently. It's clear the problem isn't the public--it's how the department is run. Stop being overly selective in hiring and start getting people in the door who can at least handle reports and basic calls. Not every situation requires a sworn deputy. Hire civilian staff, train them, and let deputies focus on actual crime. Right now, it feels like resources are mismanaged and the community is left without support when it's needed most. If you can't respond to basic calls or take reports, then what exactly is the service being provided?

He came out immediately and he was both empathetic and professional. He left his card and told us he would call with updates, which he did every step of the way. Our son was found and the entire crew was there, and they were kind and calming to my son and let him pet Cooper the doggo and just overall made my son and us feel very calm and like everything was going to be fine. I can't express how grateful I am to Glendora PD. I really can't. We were shaken as heck. We had no idea what to do but they guided us every step of the way and made sure our son was safe and sound. Maybe that's considered policing these days. To me it looked a lot more like intimidation than public safety.

However, I wanted to file a police report because not only did the people get money from me, but they were also threatening blackmail. I explained the situation to the women at the counter, and they said, "That's a civil matter." I told them, no, actually, fraud by impersonating a law firm is a felony in CA, and could also be prosecuted as such federally. Blackmail is also a felony. They both gave attitude. I waited for about an hour before a deputy called me in to get all the info. He was great, and is the reason for the stars I'm giving them. He took all the information, copied the emails, even spoke to the person on the phone! He told me he didn't know if they could do anything. I told him I knew, but just wanted the record, in case they do go through with the blackmail. While I was waiting in the lobby, two other women came in and were also told that they had a civil matter. One of them already had court orders against the person she was having problems with. So, not a civil matter. The other, I'm not sure what it was about. But regardless, these women don't seem to have any education on the law, or what the police's job is. They shouldn't just tell everyone that comes in that they can't be helped. It really seemed like they just didn't want to do any work. Rude, unhelpful, and not knowledgeable. I'd give 0 stars for them.

I believe this is due to the fact…read morethat just as every race is stereotyped for this and that, the police unfortunately had a bad egg every now and then and then led to believe that they are all the same. Also, if you believe the police department is out to get you or have bad intentions, that may be because you possibly are doing something illegal and probably shouldn't be doing in the first place. From my experience on the other hand, is that these men and women put their life on the line every single day and risk taking the chance of possibly not being able to go home to their family at the end of their shift. They have a job to do and as difficult as it may be or even if they may not completely agree with whatever the outcome may be of a situation, ultimately, they are just doing their job. They serve and protect and every single officer that I personally know or have even come into contact with has been more than helpful and have always been polite and respectful. So please, before you think or even may say anything negative about the police department or a single officer as an individual remember, they are human too, have a family and just simply doing their job as we do day in and day out. I encourage everyone that next time they see an officer to give your gratitude and thanks because the people who say bad or negative things about them are the same exact people who call them when they need help and guess what?.... they are still there and come to serve and protect. So on my behalf, thank you to our local law enforcement and first responders for everything that you do for our community and a city as a whole. God bless

I had hired an attorney and much to my surprise, we found out that The other party had the report when I called to see if the report was ready. Finally, after getting the report I was shocked to read that since there were no pictures and no witnesses, they were not able to determine who was at fault. These deputies are good in writing tickets to get promoted. They don't deserve the money that they get paid by our tax dollars.

My boyfriend lives in LA in the Harvard Heights area and every time I'm at his house I turn on the citizen app and I'm shocked at how much crime is happening at any instance there. Whenever I'm at home I open my Citizen app for fun and it's always so safe and quiet here. I feel like our police department is a huge reason for that. Even being in high school I was also really proud to be living in such a great city. Every interaction I've ever had with officers has always been very respectful to me. Despite this, I have repeatedly been stopped and followed by Burbank police officers while driving at night. I often run errands late at night due to my work schedule and personal obligations. Driving after midnight, by itself, does not constitute suspicious or unlawful behavior. During one stop, I was accused of "swaddling" or driving suspiciously despite obeying traffic laws. It appeared that the sole basis for the stop was the time of night I was driving. I am concerned that I am being unfairly targeted and subjected to repeated stops without legitimate cause. Additionally, during a prior interaction, an officer told me to "talk in English," which I found inappropriate and concerning. I expect to be treated fairly, professionally, and without racism. I am requesting that these incidents be reviewed and that any concerns regarding repeated stops be properly addressed. This will be justified when I give court all findings that evidence from a stop was improper. BURBANK PD can be DISGUSTINGLY racist. You have every right to stop someone who's speeding or driving recklessly but not someone who is obeying traffic laws.
