I was able to get an appointment by complete luck late Friday night for that Saturday. There is no denim, no clothes that Resemble staff or inmate clothing and no cell phone allowed especially in the visiting center even if you just walk in to ask a question if you have a visit at anytime that day your visit will be canceled without hesitation. Keep your phone in your car. Use your phone while inside your car. Tokens are $2 single dollar bills only. The machine is near the entrance. You need the token to take a photo inside. As inmates cannot buy them inside even using their money on the canteen before the expected visit. The staff is absolutely horrible to expect everyone visiting just knows the process and they act as if every prison runs the same. They are rude. They are very disrespectful. They are very inconsiderate. They are the worst. Their inmates having visits obviously affects their lively hood. Since taking a few moments to clearly explain their process effects them so seriously they should make a quick 3min video and post it on their website. So when they get NEW visitors everything is simple.

They are patient and courteous, and they put up with a bunch of bullshit from some stupid asswholes. Some members of the public need to shut the fuck up. Anyhow I got my paperwork, my reports, etc. Similar paperwork in Kern county is quite a bit cheaper though. They seem like a squared away bunch of workers. EDIT: An explanation of why my comment above came about. While I was there either at the counter or waiting our turn, two separate people, (people who came into this place because they needed help) were cursing at the officer and calling them the devil. I don't see how someone can come into someone else's "house" seeking help and then be such an asswhole to the very people who are trying to and are tasked with helping them. At the time and place that a visit takes place here, this is not the cop who has pulled you over and is about to ruin your day. Give these guys a break!

Taking reports is the bare minimum, and this department can't even do that consistently. It's clear the problem isn't the public--it's how the department is run. Stop being overly selective in hiring and start getting people in the door who can at least handle reports and basic calls. Not every situation requires a sworn deputy. Hire civilian staff, train them, and let deputies focus on actual crime. Right now, it feels like resources are mismanaged and the community is left without support when it's needed most. If you can't respond to basic calls or take reports, then what exactly is the service being provided?

California Code of Civil Procedure - CCP § 430.41…read more In California, before filing a demurrer, the demurring party must "meet and confer" with the party who filed the challenged pleading. This involves a discussion, either in person or by phone, to attempt to resolve the issue without court intervention. The meet and confer must occur at least five days before the responsive pleading is due. The defendant's attorney lied and said she tried to reach me by phone! The demurrer automatically gave her 30 days more to file her answer to my complaint. I checked my cell phone records for a call from that attorney, and there was no record of a call. I called the attorney and asked her to send me her phone record. She sent me her phone record, and the call was only 4 seconds long! She dialed my number and hung up immediately. She didn't have her answer ready so she lied in order to get 30 more days to respond. She committed perjury, and I charged her with perjury in my complaint! The clerk at the Antelope valley courthouse accidentally filed the limited case at their courthouse. Michael Antonvich in Antelope valley does not handle limited court cases, so the case was transferred to the Spring Street courthouse in Los Angeles. The commissioner that heard the case was not interested in the fact that the attorney committed perjury! My case was against a government agency. When big money government agencies are involved, the lying crooked judges and commissioners will take bribes! I am sure most people have watched Judge Mathis. He has thrown out many cases for perjury! In fact, under this civil code perjury is mentioned!

I came to visit friends that weren't going to trial so I can say - listen, if you have to go to this courthouse... you have no idea what a hassle it is to go to other courthouses in LA County. This one at least has parking, friendly and helpful staff and a very new, clean facility. I also felt safe there. It's hot as hades there but... that really isn't the courthouse's fault. You're in the high dessert. Bring sunscreen. I got a tan just driving there.
