This DMV is incredibly unorganized…read more The first time I came was about 8 years ago to take my driver's test which was a pretty good experience. I had no issues whatsoever. The second and last time I came here was a different story. There was a female employee who was yelling at people and pointing for them where to go. So unprofessional. When it came to my turn, I was confused to where she was pointing at and yelling at me where to go since she was behind the desk but she continued to just yell louder and give me attitude like I was a back in grade school. I'm a substitute teacher and I don't even talk to my students that way. I went up to her to ask her a question and she just gives me attitude back again. The other employee next to her was more patient and professional. But my goodness I've never had to deal with such a rude, unprofessional employee anywhere before. The whole DMV was just chaotic. I typically go to the one in Arleta and it's much more organized no matter how packed it gets. Definitely won't be back there again.

There are 2 lines, one for appointments only and the other for walk-ins. In terms with people with appointments, they are very strict on time frames. So if you show up 15-20 minutes early for your appointment, they will skip you until your appointment time. If you state that your appointment is 5-10 minutes earlier than your actual appointment, you make line inside, they will tell you to take a seat and wait until you are within 2 minutes of your appointment. This time, I had to renew my driver's license (I had already got a Real ID a long while back at another out of town location). I took the written test on line, so that I would not have to handle the crowds, set up an appointment (2 weeks for that) and got to the location well ahead of time. It did not help. The parking lot was jammed. People were circling and playing musical cars hoping someone would leave. After doing the same, I got a spot. Inside, there was still a line for those with appointments and it was moving slowly. The whole place was mobbed (most coming in for real ID, the procrastinators) and moving at a lethargic pace. The employees did not seem to care that everyone was getting agitated and frustrated as the clock ticked on. After checking in, you have to wait for your number to be called (that takes a while) then hit two more different counters and i was done. Somehow, I survived without having to pull my hair out. The story is the same everywhere. Why is anyone not doing something about it?
