Her name is Aqua, an African American lady. I was there for a simple drive license renewal . She asked several times if I had a passport which in which I responded "NO". She raised her voice in a very arrogant and defiant manner as if I didn't understand her question. She then proceeded to enter information onto the computer then when she must of realized something on my profile she expressed the follow statement "MAN YOU HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE FOR UNDOCUMENTED PPL! " This made me feel humiliated angry and confused all at once, I find it derogatory and lack of professionalism form this employee which was rude and disrespectful. I truly hope some disciplinary actions are taken towards this individual, as she cannot be unprofessional, rude and disrespectful! My kids and everyone around us heard and that a shame SHAME ON her. Online I had started the process of a real ID and I was unable to complete it because for some reason online was not approving all of the required papers. I made an appointment to go online to the Glendale branch. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and was able to check in on my phone. I was called within five minutes of my check-in time. I proceeded to the window and asked the employee if I could also do the real ID as well as my drivers license renewal and vision test and she said no problem. She handled everything right at the desk within just a few minutes. I paid my renewal fee and then proceeded to take my photo. Every employees that I interacted with was extremely friendly and efficient. As awful as DMV's are known for being I had a fantastic seamless experience!

The second and last time I came here was a different story. There was a female employee who was yelling at people and pointing for them where to go. So unprofessional. When it came to my turn, I was confused to where she was pointing at and yelling at me where to go since she was behind the desk but she continued to just yell louder and give me attitude like I was a back in grade school. I'm a substitute teacher and I don't even talk to my students that way. I went up to her to ask her a question and she just gives me attitude back again. The other employee next to her was more patient and professional. But my goodness I've never had to deal with such a rude, unprofessional employee anywhere before. The whole DMV was just chaotic. I typically go to the one in Arleta and it's much more organized no matter how packed it gets. Definitely won't be back there again.

This time, I had to renew my driver's license (I had already got a Real ID a long while back at another out of town location). I took the written test on line, so that I would not have to handle the crowds, set up an appointment (2 weeks for that) and got to the location well ahead of time. It did not help. The parking lot was jammed. People were circling and playing musical cars hoping someone would leave. After doing the same, I got a spot. Inside, there was still a line for those with appointments and it was moving slowly. The whole place was mobbed (most coming in for real ID, the procrastinators) and moving at a lethargic pace. The employees did not seem to care that everyone was getting agitated and frustrated as the clock ticked on. After checking in, you have to wait for your number to be called (that takes a while) then hit two more different counters and i was done. Somehow, I survived without having to pull my hair out. The story is the same everywhere. Why is anyone not doing something about it?
