Ted is always so helpful and willing to explain any repairs or car physiology to me. What I love most about them, though, is the customer service. I only stop by about once every six months, but they still know me by name and face. Cheryl, the office manager, is always courteous and happy to help. They're willing to drop you back off at your house. One time, in fact, they closed down the shop and actually drove my car back to my house after it was serviced so that I didn't have to come pick it up. Just recently they hosted a give-back-to-the-community event that involved an outdoor movie screening, bonfire, food trucks, and partnerships with local vendors. Really, I just can't get enough of these guys. I love how close they are to my house, but it's just icing on the cake that they provide such excellent work and customer service.

Mechanically Inclined has even become my preferred provider for mechanical work and maintenance on my historical vehicles. They keep our cars running smooth and consistently quote reasonable prices. The work usually takes a little longer than they anticipate, but I've come to expect that from most repair facilities, even the dealerships. I prefer quality workmanship over a rush job. Very knowledgeable and competent.

The owner is very nice and I like that you can text him to make appointments instead of having to call. The only thing I didn't like was that when I arrived for my appointment and rang the bell for someone to come in, it took a solid five minutes. I'm not sure if the bell wasn't loud enough but I believe they didn't hear it, I'm sure they weren't ignoring me. At the end of the day, I would recommend this auto shop and I will use it again.

They were to replace a sensor on the underside of my engine. The mechanic that has it now said the cut the wiring harness to my low oil sensor so now if I have low oil the light won't come on. To fix it I have to buy a new oil pan. There is other damage to another wiring harness that has caused my car to not run right. I recall when I had it here after they said they fixed and I was paying someone saying they weren't certified mechanics. It raised eyebrows with me for sure so I never went back to them. Now two years later I am having to pay for damage they caused.

Everyone was very friendly from the minute I drove in, to minute I checked out and left. The service manager for my particular service was quick and acknowledged the time it was taking but he came out and gave me an estimate of a bulb replacement with oil change service and even accepted a coupon offered from their dealership website. The only drawback is they don't take appointments, it's a walk-in process. I came in at opening around 7:30am and didn't leave until 10am. The waiting room area is clean and stocked with complimentary snacks and water as well as vending machines. I'll still come back because of the friendly service!

Stoops Buick GMC was one of the most unprofessional dealership experiences I've had…read more I'm based in Dallas and was purchasing a high-end used vehicle from their Indianapolis location. I put down a $1,000 deposit to hold the car while I completed a pre-purchase inspection. I paid for the inspection and sent a mechanic to the dealership. I told them I needed to speak with the inspector and would confirm everything the next day. The inspection came back positive, so I immediately bought a plane ticket to fly up and pick up the vehicle. That same day, after I emailed them my plan and timing, they replied that they had sold the car to someone else and were refunding my deposit. There was no heads-up, no call, and no "we have another buyer, you need to finalize by X time." Just an email saying it was sold. As a result, I'm now out $786 for the plane ticket and the inspection with no remedy. A deposit should actually hold the car, not hold it until someone else walks in the door. I would not do business with Stoops Buick GMC again.
