March/April 2026. Visiting hospitals, working in, being in hospitals, visiting family and friends, this is the most inefficient, absolutely, chaotic, irresponsible, location. My brother in law felt he was ignored. My niece and my husband, -----were consistently given conflicting, wrong or bad information...his daughter received complicated, convoluted, evasive, and incomplete information. He was in the hospital over two + weeks and the day they decided to release him!!!!!!! is the day they decided to put a stent in his heart. Put a catheter up his penis. He kept saying to his daughter, " what is this in my penis should I pull it out"? Did nobody explain anything to him? the patient who was suffering from too much time in the hospital? Seemingly NO. His daughter told him not to pull anything out!! that maybe somebody would explain to him why it was there? how long it had to be there? and why he was so uncomfortable? and what he should do and what he shouldn't do? Wouldn't that make sense? If the patient's family knew what was happening; explain that to the patient? such as why he had some tubes coming out of his penis? We guess they couldn't be bothered. Why should they tell the patient what's going on? With phone calls to the charge nurse-----we'd get put on hold for 20 minutes and nobody would answer. Then someone would just hang up on us. My niece was there to support and take care of her father. SHE EMPHATICALLY said don't do surgery unless I'm there to talk to him forehand to .... and see him kiss him and re-explain it..... Then when she showed up at 7:00am (after the staff jerked her around for two weeks) telling her they didn't know if he could survive surgery, doing test after test, after test.... They said they could not operate and that they were releasing him. Then...we're not releasing him. Yes, releasing him. We're not releasing him. And the morning that she had to fly home....... he was already in surgery! WHAT? He was already in surgery! His family right there and they were not told beforehand. HA! again. how foolish to think that that might be one of the requirements. He's already in surgery without her having given permission! She was not OK with that! PERFECT NIGHTMARE DOUBLE TALK: Miraculously he survived. The stress for his daughter, the casual disrespect was horrendous. There's a RESPONSIBILITY of a hospital based in the US--- that any person speaking English, working in the role as a medical, healthcare professional, SHOULD be able to communicate efficiently, It was difficult to understand some of the people on the phone. So if you wanna bring somebody there, to get sub-standard treatment ever, in such a chaotic environment---- if you bring them there; ask yourself "why there"? This is exactly a perfect example of the degradation of the USA healthcare system. SO____Anybody reading this in need of care, consider going elsewhere. Wow, what a draining, frustrating experience of having a sick family member and suffering from the lack of professional responding. If I could give it a zero rating I would because that's what it deserves. In fact a MINUS rating!....and if anybody in the administration or on staff reads this, realize you play a part of a debacle. A DISGRACE to say the least! An endeavor of compounded distress provoking terrific anxiety. Nurse Javier (ER) is very nice, smart and fast. He actually listens to you. He makes sure all your questions are answered. He's quick to get you seen. He access my port ( on the first try), get the blood work and get you medicated. He doesn't just leave you sitting there. read more

If I could rate this facility a zero, I would--but unfortunately, that isn't an option. The nurses were kind, professional, and genuinely empathetic. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the doctors/residents. It felt as though I was treated more like a teaching case than a patient. At the end of my visit, no doctor came to review my lab work, MRI, or CT scan results. Instead, a nurse was sent in to discharge me without any explanation of my condition, test results, or the cause of my severe reaction and symptoms. I left feeling confused, dismissed, and extremely frustrated. It is unacceptable to be discharged without a physician taking the time to explain what is happening to your health. This experience felt unprofessional and careless. What makes this even more disappointing is knowing that my insurance will likely be billed thousands of dollars, yet no one took the time to properly speak with me about my condition or care plan. The doctors need to do better and provide the level of communication and care patients deserve. read more

The so called "traveling nurses" are a menace to the medical industry and especially to patients that come to the hospital for life threatening emergencies. A nurse from Texas by the name of Tangela was extremely negligent and reckless, her superiors were worse. ER Dr. Carasco should be evaluated for drug usage or mental disability. ER staff were greatly entertained by their happy hour conversations and talks about hookah! While my family member was yelling and gasping for air because they disconnected her oxygen in the middle of a heart attack!!!!! An elderly lady was left naked from her waist up (breast exposed) with no blanket or gown to cover her. She cried for help and everyone ignored her, except for me who covered her and prayed with her. Another elderly man was left unattended with bed railings down, he cried for help as he was slipping off the side of bed! Again no one helped until I asked for help on his behalf. Sadly I couldn't make this up even if I tried. Hygiene- non existent! Iv bags on floor, needles on tables, medicine cabinets in hallway left opened, garbage on floors. A complete disaster. A patient that was experiencing a heart attack was being ignored and waited 11+ hours for a room when 1/2 of the 5th floor was empty. I give one star because I can't give zero. Very poor organization at this hospital. If you go there for an emergency, don't even think about this hospital. Patients arrived in severe pain and were told to register first, only to be left waiting for 30 to 45 minutes. When they finally take you in, they do attend to you quickly, but after the tests are done, the doctor is nowhere to be found to give the results. Hours of waiting just to be told what the problem is and be given a prescription. Very bad experience--if it's an emergency, do not come to this hospital. read more

Most of the staff is absolutely horrible, they do not care about their patients or the patients family member. If you advocate for your family member they will look at you bad and talk about you with their co workers. Then went there 3 years ago 5 years ago, kept me waiting 8 hrs, and the doctor told me not to come back as it was the worst hospital. May 28th 2024, the property is broken up and I fell giving the narrow sidewalk to a man with a walker, fell into a hole, my foot caught on root and I went down. Only people on the property at the professional building were the valets and no supervisor. Two people had to help me up from the ground. I am writing a review on behalf of my mother, who was in the NCCU from 11/13/2025 till they moved her to the 6th floor on 11/23/2025. The negligence of the nurses and staff towards my mother is disheartening and disgusting to say the least. We have to call and call and physically go find someone - anyone to help my mother when she is sitting in her bodily fluids for hours! She is immobile and unable to walk or clean herself and we need help to lift her and clean her. We reported to the head nurse yesterday, who was very dismissive and excusing her staff's actions. It is despicable and sick - these people chose this career and act like they're too good to help! What if my mother didn't have us - how much longer would she have to wait for someone to help her? My mother has a very bad rash that is not healing due to this negligence. The NCCU team was amazing - however, these people on the 6th floor are passive aggressive, very slow, and have attitude problems. It is not right - I can only imagine how many other patients are left to sit in their mess and are even less able (mentally and physically) to ask for help! My mom is lucky to have family around, but what about the others who don't have anyone to fight for them? It is downright disgraceful and sick. There are not enough words to describe this staff. Do not come here if you want to be constantly fighting for your loved ones. We try to help her as much as we can but, in the end, they are the professionals who know how to maneuver and clean her properly. It should not be this way! read more

I made the mistake of being treated by their infamous urologist. Been going in and out of the hospital for over 3 weeks at risk of losing my job just because this disrespectful, piece of garbage is refusing to provide me the attention I need. I had a kidney stone which is long passed and he refuses to remove a stent he informes me he was removing. The stent is causing me severe pain and blood in my urine. And yet after countless attempts from the attending and other Drs he refuses to cooperate. It's sad to say I had to leave the hospital and seek medical emergency assistance at another hospital. I've since been in contact with a lawyer to review my case and of serval other patients he has done this to. You're constantly being told lies to pacify you. The staff is not competent at all when it comes to bedside manner and lacks customer service skills to the core. When to visit a patient, when I arrive it looks like the exterior has not been cleaned in months. I went to see the patient and she was undergoing some test. I left within 10 minutes. The parking attendant stated that anything after 1 minute they charge 5 dollars. So if you drive in by mistake or realize that you can't see the patient be prepared to pay and the place looks like a dump. read more

I took my 87 yo father to the ER on monday May 16 morning, very nice and knowledgeable ER Doctor, he ordered all types of test and admitted him right away to the 6 floor, had a very pleasant experience with the team of Doctors assing to his care Dr Losada, Dr Querol, Dr Bombino, Dr Mohan, Dr P Garcia, and all the ARNP team, CNA Serret and Capote did a great job keeping him comfortable and clean, can't forget RN George and the Charge Nurses that keep me informed all the time. Brought my wife to get an MRI and when registering her they asked her to pay $100. I told them that we had AvMed and I had never been charged anything at Lakes Radiology. The lady said that it was a co payment. I decided to call our insurance and the agent re affirm that we did not have to pay a co payment. The agent asked me if it was a facility charge. I asked the lady that was registering my wife and she called her supervisor and the supervisor admitted that it was a facility charge. One advice to anyone who needs emergency care, if you have a choice, avoid this hospital at all costs! My 85 yearly old mom was taken there in an emergency, these people don't care about the patient at all, they're money hogs, if the patient have Medicare, your in for a long, long stay, no matter what. After many tests were performed and everything going well, she "needed" one more test, an echocardiogram, and was told, that she was in line for one but that it could take upto 2 to 3 days and in some cases, 4 days. I told the nurse that I would like to take my mom home and later go to the prescribing doctor's office to have it done. Because she was leaving the hospital on her own will, they refuse wheelchair service to the lobby, and she had to walk on her own, incredible! Terrible hospital. read more

Ademas dice mi esposa que las colonoscopias de las personas delante de ella las oyo completamente por que las hacian con las puertas habiertas y todo se oia, ademas de oir todas las conversaciones personales de los enfermeros, no hay etica, no existe. Mi esposa cuando termino tenia mucha sed, enotros lugares se le da un pedazo de hielo, en el palmetto la enfermera le trajo una servilleta carmelita del baño humedesida en agua y se la paso por la boca. He was later transferred to the ICU and intubated where he was left saturating 78% from 2-4 PM. I have the pictures to prove it. Then when he had a LETHAL rhythm I had to tell my sister to go get a nurse, that's when they realized he was DEAD and proceeded to code him.
