I still pay for electricity a small amount plus all con Edison tacked on fees( another disgrace company) my monthly bills for the solar panels was quoted $250 but I'm billed $289 per month plus my con ed bill...oh don't worry you will receive a $12,000+ tax credit (federal) to help pay off your $38,000 loan and a state tax credit also for thousands.. yeah we'll I was issued $6000 for federal and still awaiting approval for $3000 for the state , $9,000 total, barely moved the dial on this loan..and they don't lower your monthly cost after paying down your loan as stated by the sales rep. I pay almost an extra $300 that I can not afford in this economy, Believing I would trade out one bill for another, benefitting in the long run, both for me and our environment..I was bamboozled into paying 2 bills for the same production... Let's not talk about how they had to come back to my house and also troubleshoot these solar panels because they did not work for the first couple of months . I'm really thinking I should sue them. I have the rep in my house on recording telling me all these lies.

Also I was never pressured into decisions, credit checks, or contract unlike all other companies out there. I worked with Kenneth who is fantastic sales guy to work with and always follows up on your questions, picking up your calls, follows up on emails, and comes through on all of the promises made. I'm now referring other friends and family to contact Ken for their solar needs and you should too.

So we ordered and had YSG Solar install our solar panels back in 2018, and while there were issues after the installation (partially due to Covid, but also due to bad installation issues causing us to fail inspection twice), we were willing to let bygones be bygones because the system was working and we just wanted to move on. However, in March of this year, our system stopped working, and we've been trying to call them over and over but no one picks up or ever calls back (which is doubly problematic when their operations number says that they'll return calls "within 24 hours"). We've also now discovered that even though our contract states "25 year performance and labor warranty", they never extended the warranty of our inverter. You can only do so within the first two years of purchase, so it is now impossible to extend it, and with YSG never responding, our only choice currently seems to be paying someone else $2K to replace the inverter because YSG won't return our calls or emails. Note that I also have a BBB complaint against them, and I'm not the only one - do your research before using this company!

The 1-2 days call back did not happen. Emailing to service@kamtechsolar.com is not an option either, no response after 6 months and a repeated attempt one month ago. Called back, 0 customers in queue, the lady remembered our conversation, she spoke to a project mgr and called me back minutes later with a scheduled installer date next week. This gives me some more confidence than what other reviews have provided. As original installer of a Sunpower system, Kamtech should cover labor costs in addition to the lifetime warranty of panels & inverters per agreement. We will see how this works out.

I have solar panels and an HVAC system yet I am paying $900+ in energy bills from Con Edison! I called Con Edison and they informed me that I have not been receiving g my energy credits. I have been trying to reach out to Kamtech and they haven't even bothered to reach out to me. Totally disgraceful! They should compensate me for the 3 months my panels were not producing any energy! Egor has reached out and we managed to come to an acceptable solution. He was very patient and took the time to explain certain issues that I was not aware of. Not only that, but they also compensated me towards the cost of my energy utility bill. Thank you very much for taking the time answer my questions and help steer me towards a satisfactory resolution.
