From the very beginning, Leanne was so kind and responsive, patiently answering all of our questions in a friendly and timely manner. We loved Jason Deng's work, and she was able to secure him for our date as well as set up a quick initial video call with him. On the day of, Jason and his second photographer Kristin were prompt, professional, and so easy to work with. Jason does a great job of giving everyone clear directions in front of the camera, and makes the process enjoyable and easy. He even asked if I had a preferred side of my face (I do) and positioned the shots to accommodate that. This attention to detail was something that we really appreciated. The photos themselves turned out incredible and we're beyond happy with the result. It's exactly what we were envisioning - natural and warm, yet intentional, shots that capture the story of our day. Although the turnaround time is quoted as 6 weeks in the contract, they finished ours in nearly 3, which is insanely fast. We even had a request for the editing style which Leanne relayed to the team and it was well reflected in the photos we received. Even though our Kahala package only included 48 4x6 prints, Visionari sent us more than double that - they printed around 100 "highlight" photos. For the video side of things, Sam was equally as professional, friendly, and seamless as the photographers. We opted for the ceremony only package, and the 20 minute-long video is the perfect record of our ceremony. The shots and audio are crisp and clear, and the editing is clean. The final video was high-quality and well put-together without being overdone. We prefer a simpler, straightforward feel for video, so this perfectly aligned with what we were looking for. Overall, Visionari captured our day beautifully. We're so happy we chose them and would gladly recommend their amazing service to any couple!

They took a few shots of him. Then, they pulled all the shots up on the computer and had us choose our favorites. I believe the sitting fee was $50. It's extra when you order the portrait packages or pictures a la carte. The total was about $160. Eddy is the photographer and he is superb. He has an eye for photography and the angles that bring out your best features. We told him what we wanted and it turned out better than expected. They also do individual and family portraits. Sent a project request out for family portraits for us and our elderly grandmother. Out of the 5 in the area, Perfect Portraits was the only one with a studio. They also had quick replies to messages and gave prices upfront. They were easy to understand and had reasonable pricing. I set a date for about two weeks out. Of the questions I asked, you are able to request prints, but they do have digital download available. They go by hour sessions for the session. Photo editing available- they use Evoto. You can pick your favorite 10 for photo editing. Photo session scheduled for 3/26/2026, at their University location- the Varsity building, renamed Hale Kealaula. Right now at the university location, their elevator was down so we had to walk five flights up the stairs. It was a lot of stairs in nice and pretty clothing. [ Please know this is after the two weeks of severe weather. I am not sure if this is was a result of that. ] The day of the photo shoot went well overall. *If you do have an elderly lady that has trouble walking, please let them know because they have two locations for the studio. I recommend arriving a little early and changing there, because they do have changing rooms and mirrors. I met two photographers there: Gail and Nikki. They take as many photos as they can during that hour be prepared with what poses you want what kind of photos you want and don't be afraid to move around. Just tell them to take photos and they will you never know if with infants, what kind of reactions you get in the moment and it might be the cutest thing. I really liked taking pictures with Nikki. Nikki was able to play with our baby while taking the photo and she was able to get the happiest giggles and squeals from my infant son. I think that made taking the photos with so many people so that much easier. They had different platformswood benches so we could sit in different positions and take different type of photos. We also took infant photos after we were done with family poses. I feel like we did make the most of our hour.

The Varsity building is on the same site of the old Varsity theaters. We scheduled her appointment on a day that I wasn't working, so I could help her with hair/make up styling. Perfect Portraits Hawai'i is located on the fifth floor of the varsity building. There is free parking in the building parking lot. We were warmly greeted on arrival, and they were currently photographing another student in her class. Nikki is the owner of the business and also one of the photographers. There were two photographers present that day. They have a private dressing room where you can change into different looks. You're scheduled for a 15 minute appointment, but I appreciated that they didn't rush us and we were there for 45 minutes. Nikky was very professional as was the other photographer and they took different looks including ones in natural light and with studio lighting. My daughter felt very comfortable working with them, and overall it was a wonderful experience! I am definitely considering coming back to have family portraits done.

With the help of our amazing wedding coordinator, Karisa, we booked ARIA Studios on May 16, 2019. We were overjoyed that we got a professional photographer on such short notice and it was especially important to get these memories captured. Our wedding day came and I arrived at our venue. As soon as I stepped out of the car, Jess from ARIA Studios was there, snapping moments that I will remember for a lifetime. She was so kind and patient with my (now) husband and I (we are really not models). We loosened up with her gentle guidance and she even helped me convince my husband to get in the water for some photos. My mother's health declined quickly and so I asked for the photos of her from that day expedited, knowing full well that it might be an additional fee. I received the photos quickly and Mom was able to see them and enjoy them. Now our family will remember this day, my happiest day of my life, which I was able to share with my beautiful Mom. We have received all of our photos and Hubby and I could not be more happy with them. It's taking a lot of restraint not to be totally weird about it and print lifesize photos and put them all over the house. In any case, Hubby and I are doing a part 2 and have already booked ARIA Studios for that day (and asked for Jess specifically!). We can't wait because we know what a great job they do.

Thank you so much ARIA Studios!! We were referred to Aria by many, including my husband's cousin who works with Aria Studios. Their work is absolutely awesome and their team is awesome. Kolby, Kash, Holly & Jessica all flew to Maui the day of our wedding. The were very professional and very easy to work it. Jessica was the main contact and she responded to emails efficiently. About 4 days after our wedding, Holly was able to email us a couple of preview photos while they worked on editing the rest. We chose the Fusion package (Cinema 8 Hour Package, Same Day Edit and Photo 8 Hour Package). I am so amazed by the quality of their work and am amazed by how fast they can edit the videos to show in the Same Day Edit. Their portfolio was amazing and they possess tremendous talent in their field. The Alvarados are a husband and wife team. We worked with Jess only. At first it was akward for us because my fiance and I have never taken professional photos before and did not know what to do. She put us at ease, was laid back, professional and down to earth. While browsing on the hotel website I saw they offer photography sessions on the property with Pacific Dream Photography. I was very intrigued so I decided to reach out via email to get details and see if there was availability on the day we got married. I received a response very quickly and decided to book. The booking process was simple and efficient, so I was already impressed. Fast forward to wedding day! We decided to do a sunset photoshoot which was scheduled for 6 PM. We met our photographer, Aman, at the Pacific Dream Photography desk at the lower lobby. My husband and I both expressed to him that we weren't too comfortable in front of the camera. He led the way and gave us directions on what to do which was so nice! We got to take pictures around multiple locations of the hotel including the gazebo, lawn, beach, golf course, etc. We chatted with Aman throughout and got to learn a little about him which helped us to feel even more comfortable with him. Before we knew it our session was over and it really felt like time flew by. When we got back to the lower lobby, we scheduled an appointment with Aman to meet him the following morning to review the photos and go over the different package options. The next morning we showed up at our designated time and Aman was ready and waiting for us. We went over the different packages and decided on one that came with a certain amount of photos, a video slideshow, and print credit. After viewing all the photos, he helped us to eliminate some and compare similar ones so that we could get down to the amount that was included in our package. I am so happy we decided to do the photo session. Although we didn't have a typical wedding, it's so nice to have both the photos and slideshow to look back on and remember our special day. Went to get my photo taken at Hawaii Head Shots and, despite my nervousness, it was a terrific…read moreexperience. I needed to get a couple of professional photos and wanted them quickly. I liked Hawaii Head Shot's website that had plenty of examples of photos that were well done. I also liked their pricing. I booked about a week ago and Erica and Ronen texted me a confirmation along with what to expect as well as where to park. They are located in a condo on Kinau Street so it was convenient that they had a parking stall I could park in. I called them when I arrived and Erica came down and walked me up. There is a small bathroom to change in and check your hair etc. Since I opted for 2 poses, I brought a change of clothing (just a top). Erica sat me down and helped coach me through various shots. I was so nervous but she guided me through and I gradually relaxed (a little.) Thanks to Ronen, I opted for a little lighter background for the second pose. I wasn't sure about it but once I saw the photos, I am glad he suggested a lighter shade as it creates a different mood. I was amazed at how many photos Erica took. Afterwards, we looked at them and I chose some that I liked. After a few touch-ups, my final copies will be emailed to me. I can't want to see them. They also do shots on location. Will definitely come back when I need more professional photos. This is an update a week after I posted the above-got my retouched prints and they are amazing! I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Now in all honesty we were quite overwhelmed with…read morethe expo, but when we started looking at all the fliers and discounts Sarah had the lowest wedding package so we thought we would meet with her and feel it out....Little did we know that we would be meeting a life long friend. Sarah not only shot our engagement pictures and wedding but she has also taken pictures of me while pregnant, photos of our baby as a newborn and two other times in his 9 months here. Sarah is a dear friend of ours and by far the best photographer we have used. Sarah listens to what you want and as a bride that is very important. She is very open and not of the norm. If your looking for cheesy studio pics in matching outfits, well then Sarah isnt the right choice for you, but if your looking to have beautiful pictures that truly capture the spirit of those in them then Sarah is your gal. For the…read morefirst photo shoot, Sarah Chamberlain took photos of me and three friends ( as a farewell activity). She adeptly captured the light and our friendship in our photos. Not only is she talented but personable. She makes you feel comfortable, and the shoot is fun! My next photo shoot was baroque style, and she made me look beautiful and feel comfortable, while exhibiting the utmost professionalism. Yesterday, I had my third photoshoot with Sarah. I truly believe that, while she excels with all types of photography, that this is her speciality! I do not like taking photos, and she made it so much fun! She is creative and found great spots and great lighting! She was also able to conjure the essence of our family into the photos, because she is amazing at family photos! She made every one at ease and made everyone feel special. There are many talented photographers but few have that gift! And that is the difference between good and great photographs.
