This experience was definitely one of those "too good to be true" moments. I heard on Instagram that locals could snag cabanas for just $50. When I went online to book, I didn't see the option immediately, so I called customer service. They walked me through the process, and I secured a spot for the following Saturday (they book up fast, so be sure to plan in advance). I arrived right as the pool opened, and the first thing I noticed was that the 21+ area is separate from the family side--a huge plus! When the host walked me to my cabana, I was shocked to see it was one of the large, high-end ones that typically cost thousands. I was also able to snag a complimentary daybed, allowing me to alternate between sun and shade all day. The food and drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. It was the perfect solo self-care vibe. Honestly, it was so good that I plan on making it a monthly treat whenever the weather is warm. At $50, it is an absolute steal. Wow, what an experience. I HIGHLY recommend all people to veer to another place than this pool. We came for the Sunday vibes and were sadly disappointed from all the misses. First, someone threw up in the pool TWICE. Management did NOTHING to find the person who did it, which doesn't surprise me that there was a second occasion for throw up to be splashed around. Disgusting! The first time, someone did come to clean and pick up the throw up from the pool, but the standards to have the pool vacated was minimal at best. Again, gross. We rented a daybed which doesn't come with an umbrella and is literally immersed in the water. Be prepared. It's a very unique situation. Your shoes have no place to "live" but in the sun. Your items can be on the daybed but they are blasted by the sun. It comes with a minimum for spending but prices are steep enough, you'll hit it without any worries. We had Cassandra and EJ for our "team" to service us. Drinks were slow to come. I ordered a cucumber margarita but was given a regular margarita. She caught the mistake and bought me a cucumber mojito. Totally different liquor. I wasn't trying to be difficult but imagine ordering tequila based drink and getting a vodka and rum drink. We ordered a carne quesadilla and some grilled vegetables. When I asked for some silverware, Cassandra told me she was busy with tables and will tell a busser to bring this to me. It never came. I waited for over ten minutes and finally went to the bar. Honestly, I would recommend coming and visiting the bar, if anything. There's no reason for service. It was completely lacking. Mind you? I've been in the service industry and this was mediocre at best. At one point, I asked for my balance. It took time for her to bring it to me. I ordered a couple more drinks, and Cassandra gave me my check but not with the correct ID or credit card. Lord, help me. Finally, after 10 minutes, she gave my husband my cards. Came to Palms Pool to celebrate a birthday, and overall we had a great time. We rented a cabana, which came with its own small private pool. That was a huge plus because the water was semi-heated and not freezing like some pool areas can be. The food was comped, so I'm not sure about the pricing, but bottles were around $300, which was apparently a special deal that day. The service was just okay. Once we paid for the bottle and the tip was taken care of, it felt like the staff disappeared and were hard to find afterward. The cabana itself was really nice. It had a TV with surround sound, a fan to help keep cool, and even a hidden door that led directly to a private restroom, which was a fun surprise and very convenient. It's been about 8 months since my last visit here. I'm just glad they're still offering FREE cabanas for locals!! Note there's quite a few spots you can select (if you book early) My personal preference is the Adult Upper Bungalow (up to 12 guests) as you get a semi-private pool as well as plenty of sun. The lower floor bungalows are slightly smaller (up to 8 guests, and no semi-private pool) but they're close proximity to the main adult pool. The other 3 larger (lower) bungalows are by the main stage, there's a shareable pool but you're mostly in the shade the whole time. So back in late March, I started looking and see if there's anything available during Memorial Day Weekend (I wasn't expecting anything but heck it doesn't hurt to check) To my surprised, the Adult Upper Bungalow is available for Monday!! Like what?!? And yes this is without the crazy minimum spend requirements. Day of arrival, my friend and I got there a few minutes late around 10am so there was a wait but didn't take long. The super friendly lady manager took us to the upper bungalow (lots of stairs but note they also have an elevator if needed) 1st thing I noticed is the Bungalow is in much better shape than my last visit. I suppose this is due to early season. The TV was working properly along with changing channels, etc. Even the misting system is working, nice! I say the only thing missing is a safe (for some reason they removed it) I also noticed they have nicer (smaller) trash bins Our server Cassandra came by around 10:22am to go over some of the finer details (I don't recall they did this last time) There's (2) items they're now pointing out prior to your order so you're well aware of these fees. One is Auto Gratuity which is 18% of your sub-total. The other is Venue Fee, which is 7% of your sub-total. I had to initial to agree on these fees now we can get the party started! We had 6 guests total throughout the day and services were great, 0 issues with drinks or food. The only thing that came up is the kitchen closed earlier than usual which Cassandra personally came up and let me know we can grab food from the Casino and bring them back inside (as they don't usually allow outside food/drinks) but will make an exception. The food here the first time we went was not good so this time we only got the chicken tenders. I will say they were much better this time but I hate the fry mix. I would rather just pick my type of fry. We also didn't get any sauces except ranch so we had to ask for more. The upper cabanas are definitely my favorite area because of the nice pool in front. You do have to share with the cabana next to you which I don't love but it's not to bad. The biggest negative for me was the fact that the cabana seats were insanely dirty. There was stuff caked on them and weird stuff stuck to the cushions. It looked like they were never cleaned. The other thing is, there's no curtains or anything on the cabanas. So if you want privacy from the crowds or to hide the sun, you can't. The tv controls also only work about 50% of the time. read more

As a local enjoying resort pools in the summer is always appreciated. Currently the palms is allowing locals with reservations to bypass the pool fee. With a cabana and an upstairs bungalow this was a fun event to attend. Weather was a little questionable, but service, food, and drinks were wonderful. The bob Marley is a must try with pretty colors and a fair poor. I am ours suggest purchasing the food pitcher if any part of you wants more than one drink. The upstairs 2 bungalow shared pool is warm and comfortable, plenty of space with polite neighbors. This is one of the smaller resort pools, but it allows for pool staff to offer more direct service and time for everyone attending. read more

My friends and I went to do a pool day on a Monday , hence it was very slow. But service was not great at all... we ordered a fruit platter upon arrival an hour goes by .. nothing shows. Hostess says she wasn't told about it. Instead we order guac and chips, it was not fresh whatsoever... the drinks my friends ordered were not correct, the wrong drinks were constantly being brought out. Food orders kept getting wrong.. and when it came to the billing, it was "enforced" we tip the waiters because the automatic gratuity goes to everyone who works at the pool and our waitress said I would only get $2. The busser did all the work and checked on us way more than she did. And it was uncomfortable with payment because she would just wait for us to write the tip amount instead of giving us time and coming back. Booked a couch earlier this week for my birthday! It was free for locals with a $50 deposit, which could be applied for food and drinks. I was sad the adult section was closed because the main area was packed with kids. Our couch was away from most of them, which was nice. The checkin process was really easy and the attendant had the best energy. Once we got to our assigned spot, our server took quite some time to get to us. It was hard to flag her down throughout the day, I could tell she needed some backup! The have daily drink specials for their pitchers, beer, etc. Food was fairly priced and we split a chicken nacho easily. A friend suggested we go to the Palms Pool for our birthday weekend. She reserved a couch o & day bed for $100 deposit. Checking in was very easy, we arrived at 11am. They searched our bags for outside food/water, just a heads up! We enjoyed having great seating and service. The waitress and her helper were both extremely kind and friendly. The gentleman staff member went above and beyond several times by moving our umbrella! We couldn't be more grateful to him. There is a 21+ section to get away from those pesky kids. Love that we can be at the pool at 9am as soon as they open. Found our usual spot to lay out and enjoy some sun while some of our family members enjoy the pool. Great way to start our 4th of July. One of the things we enjoy about Palms is that they don't get too crowded. Also security at the pool and check in area are always so helpful and courteous. You can also order drinks whether alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks and snacks like chicken tenders and fries from the pool bar. They also have several pools. The pool was busy for 2pm which is about an hour before check in. Not bad waiting 20 minutes for lunch. My friends enjoyed their French fries and sliders cooked medium. The chicken nachos were well seasoned and had plenty of toppings. I wish they came with salsa and guacamole for the price of $19. The servers and coctail waitresses walked around and checked in on us a few times. They always look like they are having a good time dancing or singing along to the music. The music was at a decent volume but when you are in the cabana it muffled the sound which creates a more relaxing atmosphere. It's a nice touch to have a seperate adult only area and as we were leaving we asked if all the cabanas are adult only. Tried calling because I didn't realize they closed at 6 and I wanted to ask if my cabana reservation went through, when I got transferred to a customer service representative, she said that she wouldn't transfer me to Palms Pools number because it was 30 minutes to close so they wouldn't take care of my needs, because they are too busy cleaning. I'm sorry but regardless of what time you close you should be able to help customers up until the close time. That just rubbed me the wrong way, and I'm really irritated not being able to get service because someone won't transfer me even though they are still open. read more

They have a great promo for locals - free cabana on select days - which has allowed for more pool days! However, after reserving an upper cabana I was told upon checkin that this would be a $300 upgrade due to "demand"... even though I had reserved it at the local rate. This was frustrating- simply don't offer it as part of the deal! They have great drink specials on Friday! We went on Sunday as well and some decent deals. Service in the cabana area is a bit slow - its hard to get tour server when needed. It would be great to have a call button since sometimes we would wait for so long for service! Palms used to be the go to spot back in the day but over time it fell off. This was my first time back since the mid 2000s and I was impressed with the makeover. The space is huge with two large pools and cabanas on the second level with private plunge pools. They also have bar/cafe area where you can order food and drinks. It was free for us as locals to visit & towels were also provided. I liked that it wasn't super busy and they had a DJ playing fun music. Overall I had a great time & enjoyed the food too. We received one of the cabanas on the ground floor with a small pool/jacuzzi right out front as well as by the main pool. It was a fun day out with the kids and service was great. Once we hot there, we saw the had couches that we could reserve and so we went to the cabana booth to see if we could get one. When we got there, we asked about prices for the couches and cabanas, and ended up opting for a couch, however, Jarviss stepped in and kindly offered us a very nice and private cabana with a private restroom at a better rate. We definitely took offer and had an awesome birthday celebration day at the Palm Pools cabana! My husband and I decided to take advantage of the locals deal where NV residents get a free cabana Monday - Thursday. You do have to put down a $50 deposit in the event you don't show up; if you do check-in on time then that $50 is a credit toward any food/drink you purchase. I will note that their website is NOT up-to-date. You are not allowed to bring in empty reusable water bottles anymore. The security personnel was quite rude about it and said too many people were sneaking in alcohol. I asked if we opened our bottle so he could see it was empty if that would be acceptable, he said, "No. either throw your bottle away or take it back to your vehicle". Since it was a nice Hydroflask, my husband walked it all the way back to the car. When we checked in for our cabana I wanted to confirm that we were on the 21+ side as I had requested online, we were told that the entire pool area, upstairs cabanas included, is only 21+ Friday - Sunday. Kids are allowed in all areas Monday - Thursday. Again, something that was different from what their site said. Anyway, we were escorted to our private cabana on the 2nd floor. Cabana had a TV, but only 5 channels to choose from, a ceiling fan with 1 speed, a locked safe, and sofas. Only 2 cabanas upstairs had lounge chairs to lay out in the sun, we asked if there was a way we could get some lounge chairs and we were told, "No, sorry. Each cabana has their own unique furnishings and this one does not have lounge chairs. The furniture is moveable though, so you can push any pieces of the sofas out to lounge on". You're not allowed to sit or lay on the edge of the semi-private pool in front of your cabana, so if you want sun you have no choice but to move the heavy furniture outside of the cabana to sunbathe. When we moved pieces of the sofa out into the sun, the empty space under the sofa was disgusting with all sorts of debris, trash, and stains from spilled drinks. Cleanliness was not a top priority, clearly. Cool to have a private cabana, but man what a pain to enjoy if you're looking for some time in the sun. It was nice having a semi-private pool, but obviously you do have to share it with the cabana next to you. We were mostly lucky in that the cabana next to us was another local couple who were fairly nice, but they did kind of commandeer the pool at one point and kind of made it their own for 30ish minutes. I felt bad though for another couple a few cabanas down that had to share their pool with a family which included several children, also the 2 girls in the cabana opposite of us that were clearly uncomfortable sharing a pool with a group of douchey frat boys. Definitely a gamble in how your cabana experience will be, not knowing who you'll have to share your semi-private pool with. Our waitress was really friendly, although when we initially asked for cups of ice water we were told we had to order one of the bottled water options; that just increased our annoyance with their new no reusable water bottle policy, but we digressed and each ordered an $8 bottle of Topo Chico. Like all Vegas pools, drinks are spendy! We each ordered a 12oz cocktail, I got a piña colada and my husband got a pain killer - $17 each. We were then hungry for lunch so ordered chicken nachos which were $18. They were filling, but felt a little overpriced. Once we ordered a few cocktails and food, then all of a sudden our waitress was able to bring us free cups of ice water. Even if you're sober, expect to spend money on some sort of beverage since free water only comes after you spend money on other beverages & food items first. Despite the little annoyances, we mostly enjoyed our time here. It was nice having a cabana to relax in and not having to search for a decent poolside lounger. I may consider taking another day off work to take advantage of this locals deal again before kids are out of school and run rampant. The pool temperatures were perfect during our second and third visits in July, and the atmosphere is gorgeous overall. The DJ kept the vibe lively with a great mix of music, and the roasted veggie plate with hummus is a must-try! We rented a cabana for my daughter's birthday. The cabana had a private pool that you shared with another cabana. It was kind of like a Jacuzzi with bubbles, but the water was cold not hot. We ordered a picture of some kind of alcoholic beverage, I believe it had Vodka, wine, and Red Bull. I didn't care too much for it.. that one cost $49 for a very skinny picture. It's not like your average picture. We ordered the sliders and chicken nachos. The sliders came with fries and both were pretty good. We got a picture of Sprite for $16. The waitress was nice and brought us a picture of Water, but in the beginning offered us a bucket of water which was 6 for $36. You can rent the cabana from 10 AM to 6 PM. It's Thursday in April and we got one of the cabanas on the pool level. We were there for about 4-5hrs and enjoyed the full time there. It was not crowded. Music was perfect. And if we don't want to hear it, we can turn it down in the cabana. We had a monitor and was able to turn on golf for my hubby to enjoy. Food and drinks were actually very decently priced. - $16 per drink Bathrooms were exceptionally clean and it was huge with showers outside for you to rise off if you like. Service was not that fast but then again, we weren't in a hurry for much. We got to enjoy our cabana and when we wanted more sun, took our towels and got some rays on the lily pads around the pool. There's a hot tub in front of our cabana but we didn't use it. Way too warm today to go in there. WiFi was strong in the area and there plenty of electrical plugs to charge your devices. The beer was hot and Paloma had no alcohol in it. The food was ok but not fresh. After the waitress took our order for drinks and food we didn't see her again til I asked her for the check. Which she over charged. I pointed it out and she said she fix it. Which she never did. Well I opened my email and got a notice from my credit card that there was a charged for 43% tip of $57.69 which I didn't give. Not only did they over charge me and didn't fix. They also added a 43% tip. Let's point out it's a 18% tip automatically!!! I called the palms and emailed them no response. I guess I'll have to go down in person.
