We had been utilizing this dog grooming service on a monthly basis for four years. During our…read moreprevious visits, we would drop off our dogs at 9 am and pick them up at 6 pm. Unfortunately, they would often be returned to us in an unsatisfactory condition, smelling wet and unclean, with excuses provided for the delay. We felt that the level of service we received was inconsistent with our expectations. After a four-year hiatus, we decided to give them another try. We brought our two corgis, following the same drop-off and pick-up procedure. However, they were again returned to us in a wet and unclean state, with untrimmed nails. The groomer, Tara, attributed the condition of our dog to the dog spilling water from its bowl, which seemed unlikely given the extent of the wetness. Notably, all other dogs had been picked up prior to ours, our dogs were in a kennel for 9 hours . We were subsequently instructed to bring our dogs back the following day at 9:30 am, which required us to adjust our schedule. However, Tara later notified us that she would arrive at 10 am, citing another reason for the change. Given the subpar service, we questioned the validity of their five-star rating. We couldn't help but wonder if the disparity in service was related to our Hispanic background. Despite our dissatisfaction, we paid and tipped, whereas a more suitable response from Tara would have been to offer a complimentary service or refund.

First incident I had an issue with said groomer, she chipped my dogs nail really deep to the point she kept bleeding. Now I understand accidents happen, but she didn't even mention anything to my husband when he picked up his mom's dog, nor did she offer anything to help with the bleeding beforehand. I came in and was upset because my MIL's dog was bleeding everywhere. She started speaking to me in Spanish, and I said sorry I don't speak Spanish (I'm Asian that knows some Spanish but can't get by easily) maybe I could've worded it differently but I didn't collect myself before blurting that out. She grabbed a worker, cool guy with the long wavy locks, and he was very professional and apologized in which I accepted. Incident 2, I had made an appointment for Sunday, 3/29/26. I came in around 9:40, waited behind a lady who was a WALK-IN and was told that she (same groomer with the itty-bitty nose septum piercing) couldn't take anymore dogs because she has a full day. Then I said I have an appointment though, and she looked at me like sorry can't do it then heads over to get the manager. Manger explained to me she couldn't take my mother in laws dog because she's matted, it'll take too long so it may stress the dog and leads to biting/irritable dog. Okay, so how are they going to take walk ins and not prioritize appointments knowing that dogs may come in matted? They should take in to account unforeseen circumstances like this...she (groomer) is the professional and should understand how business works and by experience and knowledge that clients have dogs that need extra time? Manager didn't reprimand the worker. She kept apologizing for not being able to take my MIL's dog and that she can make an appt for Thursday with Doro the other groomer. I wanted to give this place another chance but this same girl just gave it another bad experience. It's funny because the customer before me turned around and gave me an ugly face like she didn't like how the groomer was responding to her when she requested her dog's paws to be shaven down. The lady was asking nicely and didn't even give you an attitude. With that last statement, that should be enough that it isn't just me who has an issue with this girl. If you don't like your job Then find a new one. If you have a packed day, don't take any more walk ins. Simple. I feel bad for people who have her as a groomer. They lack both the skill set and the integrity to handle real grooming work. If your dog isn't already "show ready," don't bother--this place only wants perfect, easy cases so they can rush through as many dogs as possible. I had a confirmed 2:00 PM appointment, but they called me at 11:00 AM asking me to come early. I rearranged my entire day and went out of my way to accommodate them--only to have them call after I left and say they "can't" groom my dogs unless they completely shave them bald. I was explicit when I dropped them off: one dog had a hot spot, and I asked for that spot to be trimmed and blended, not a full shave. My labradoodle has manageable matting that any competent groomer could brush out. Instead of doing the job, they claimed it would take "an extra hour." In other words, they were too lazy to actually groom. When I pushed back, they suddenly said my smaller dog was "biting"--a complete lie, since she was calm and friendly when I dropped her off. It's obvious they just didn't want to put in the time or effort. This is what happens when you have unskilled, corner-cutting groomers who overbook, rush jobs, and take no accountability. They called me back and told me to come pick up my dogs--two days before Christmas, after wasting hours of my time. BeachDogGroomer is the definition of lazy, unprofessional, and dishonest.
