We went from SHAGGY to SNAZZY in a matter of minute. A big shout out to the staff at Pampurr'd Pets, I can see again. My owner is super happy cause I was happy. I didn't want to leave and I smell amazing. Rocky is a Wooshon which is half wheaten Terrier half Bichon frise and all hair and fluff. His hair grows really fast and gets matted very easily. The staff at Pampurr'd Pets were kind and gentle. They did a great job on his hair cut. It says a lot when the dog isn't looking to run out of a grooming place, he wanted to stay and play. Absolutely horrible, it's as if they don't know how to cut dogs fur. They cut my Pomsky so low to the skin I didn't know my pet was white when she was always brown. Her fur was not this low even at birth. She looks like a siamese cat. Stay away if you love your fur baby. read more

Horrible experience! I've been taking my goldendoodle for grooming at this facility for the past couple years and he is always trembling with fear as he enters and when he leaves. I just though it was common for him to be nervous. The most recent visit I told the them that the last time they shave his pee pee area and it was chapped, red, swollen, and bloody which took a few weeks to heal. The female assured me she will make a note of it and won't do it again. When I collected my dog his pee pee area was red and swollen and bloody which was total negligence on their behalf. I called them to complain and the guy said oooh probably he was biting himself "Like really" I would never again return to such a facility that neglects and hurt animals and has no consideration for their actions. read more

I took my dogs there yesterday for grooming. My dogs were fine but when I went back to pick them up,I noticed one of them wasn't walking. I asked them what happened they said maybe she slept on her legs. She told me she'll be good in a couple of hours. I believe her and went home. After 6 hrs she still wasn't walking, so I took her to the veterinarian. They info me she hurt her back. They gave me steroids and painkillers for her and a $394.00 bill! I went back to them they told me they not going to pay for the bill cause the vet probably didn't do nothing. No sympathy or effort bad customer service. read more

Having had several bad experiences with the last two groomings that my dog received at other groomers, I was determined to never take him back to those two places. Because of this, I had been looking for a new groomer for my 10 year old Yorkie, I kept hearing about this grooming spot in Ozone Park named Pampurr'd Pets so, I decided to give them a try. I had to wait three weeks for the appointment because they are that busy. Well, today was my baby's big day with the new groomer. I arrived on time and was greeted by Billy. A very cheerful, and friendly young man. He processed us quickly and gently took control. He said that Lucky would be ready in 2- 21/2 hours. Our appt was at noon and by 2:00pm Lucky was ready. The moment I saw him I was pleased! Lucky was excited but did not seem traumatized and shaking like he did when picking him up from other groomers. He looked great! At the other groomers I usually had to wait 5 hours for my baby! That's very stressful for them. In addition to that, he had not even been properly groomed and the cost was always over $100 at one spot and over $85 at the other. I always felt kind of robbed. Once, Lucky came home with fleas! Luckily, my dog gets regular flea treatments. At Pampurr'd Pets the cost was slightly lower. I am so very pleased with this experience I thought that I would let everyone know. I almost chickened out and thought of canceling the appointment after reading some reviews online. Especially the one who said that PP nicked her dog and brusied his penis shaft. I appreciated that Billy responded to that person very professionally. You have to take care of your dog yourself in between groomings to ensure that they don't get matted. I brush my dog almost every day and bath him once a week in addition to giving him a paw bath and wipe down after every walk. It's work but that's what dogs are. Like children, they are a labor of love. Thank you Billy for the very efficient and friendly customer service and for your expert and detailed work today! I think we've found a new groomer! (Zero stars) What started as a regular day to the groomers, turned into horror for myself, my family and my dog most importantly. We walked into the salon, 10 minutes after dropping her off, I received a phone call from the owner asking if anything was wrong with my dog's leg, I said no. She said the dog can't put her back leg down. I asked if I should come back/pick her up...she said no they can groomer her and she'll be ok. 2 hrs later when I went to pick her up, my poor dog couldn't walk at ALL.!! Not only was her back leg curled up but something was wrong with both front legs. I was able to get an emergency appt at the vet. Xray showed her back femur was broken. And she had some kind of neurological trauma to neck causing her front legs to curl up. When I called the groomer the following day, after a lengthy conversation, they repeated over and over nothing happened. I'm writing this review as a caring dog owner for many years. My dog walked in there totally fine and left with a broken back leg. Something must have happened. Use your discretion. read more

My beloved shihtzu and I adore this place! They do an amazing job grooming her, are very professional, and have the best prices around. You can tell just from the intake process that they really care for your dog and treat them like furry children, and I appreciate that immensely. I always call to schedule an appointment ahead of time, and the staff are always prompt with taking in my pooch and doing an excellent job in making her extra clean and beautiful. What's more, they even call me when she's almost done so I can pick her up. I this place so hard, I drive all the way from Flatbush just to take her here. read more

We love Billy and the staff at Pampurr'd Pets. We have been a client of theirs for 12 years. When we were forced to use someone else cause our baby was sick you could tell immediately the difference between a great Groomer and everybody else. He's caring, attentive and a true pet lover. I have used this groomer for my two dogs for the past two years, with no complaints however on their last appointment one of my dogs left with chemical residue in his eye which resulted in extreme veterinary care to manage the ulcer on his eye and alleviate the pain.I fully understand that accidents can easily happen, the lack of concern for my dog and complete rudeness and disrespect shown to me by the owner 'Billy' has left me feeling disappointed and disgusted . In my opinion if your in this kind of business you should also be concerned with the well being and safety of the animals who keep you in that business . I typically bring my Maltese here and she is typically matted. When Billy is there he takes very good care of her, goes slow and gentle. As appropriate considering I pay nearly $90 for a 6 pound dog. However, last time I brought her there, there were only women working. When I picked up my dog she was terrified beyond belief and ran right between my legs. At first I thought it was the typical groomer jitters, but upon getting home I realized she was RAZOR BURNED ALL OVER HER BODY!! The girls working that day brutalized her AND I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING! Let this be a warning to all of you. I literally had to put aloe on my poor girl because it hurt so bad. Mind you, she's also 13. So they not only viciously brined her with the razor, but they abused my senior dog. They are so lucky they didn't abuse her enough that she had heart failure or a panic attack. Attached are photos of this horrific things they did. My dog was scared for 5 days following her grooming here. I'm disgusted and horrified and you should all take notice! read more

If I could give negative star that would be the rating for this place. My dog looks horrible!! First and last time without a doubt. How can u still manage to eff up a haircut after I show u a picture of what I want and specifically tell u don't cut his tail or ears? Didn't even clean the sheds of hair off him after the cut.
